About: I've taken care of many breeds of dogs from personally owning them or job working at doggy daycare. Also I have experience with cats and rats! I'm a stay at home mom currently and looking to make some money doing something I love! I'm available anytime of day if my kids are allowed to tag along or i wouldn't be available until after 4pm during the week! For overnights unless close to my home I can only due on weekends due to kids I treat pets like they are my own with lots of love and pets! About: I've taken care or have owned dogs my entire life. Last August, we lost our best friend, Nala, too soon. She was a German Shorthaired Pointer (GSP) and at the age of 5 was impacted by a very rare auto-immune disease especially for her breed. This was a tragic loss for my family and I and at this moment owning/adopting another dog would be hard. We don't want to ever experience that kind of pain. Having said that, we have so much love for animals and would be grateful to take care of your dog/cat as one of our own. Would prefer to pet sit in your home as we have 3 cats. About: I’m one of the only people that could take care of my one friends dog because it was very mean. I stay at peoples house to watch their pets or just stop in throughout the day. I currently work full time, I go before work and then after work. If I’m not staying the night I go again before bed time. If I’m staying I go after work and then either get dinner or make dinner then stay for the night. When I’m taking care of others pets I do as if they are my own. “Have a small concern. When we got home the following morning after your visit, there was no dry food in Minnie's bowl and the water level was done to about 1/2 inch. The only thing we can think is that Minnie was full of anxiety and just ate and drank everything. To make sure that doesn't happen again, In the future we would love it if you could fill both bowls just before you leave at the end of your visits, whether that be morning visit, evening visit, or both. Minnie is very slow to warm up and is likely very scared and nervous about us leaving her. We will try the approach of filling both bowls at the conclusion of all future visits and see how that works out. Thanks.”
About: I LOVE dogs and cats! Growing up, my family always had big dogs and fluffy cats around the house; so throughout my life I have gained experience caring for puppies and kittens all the way up to seniors. I adore dogs of all sizes, but big dogs will always have a special place in my heart. We owned a Rottie/Lab mix, a Great Dane, an English Mastiff, Boxer, and various Doodle breeds. We also had 3 Ragdoll cats. I currently have 3 Domestic Short and Long haired cats of my own with my fiancé and I love them dearly; but I really miss having a dog around the house. Helping people care for pets on here seemed like the perfect way to help me hang with pups! I frequently assist my friends and family with pet sitting, dog walking, and caring for their animals while they are away. Outside of animals, I work for The Department of State as a Legal Assistant and sit for 8 hours a day at a desk. About: I have always loved dogs. In 2021, I adopted a German shepherd and joined a training group. Practicing and training with my own dog every day led to me developing a passion for walking and working with dogs. Since then, I have walked many dogs, including structured walks where we practice heel, sit, place, and other basic commands. Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
