About: I have over twenty years experience caring for not only dogs: but also speciality animals such as horses and reptiles. I have a vet assisting degree, and security experience. I am familiar with licensing and bonding, animal behavior and various medications - including but not limited to insulin injections, and I am licensed with the state of IL to practice security. Not only am I reliable, but I am an experieneced and safe option while you’re away. I live on a five acre farm with horses, cats, dogs, and other various animals. I believe animals are family. I have a section of the house for cats, and one for dogs. The cats have access to the dog room, but can easily be cut off from entrance. My home, and habits, are very safe and organized. I work and network with my husband and family. There is always someone available! All animals are considered family to us! Please take special note that when booking for you animal companions to stay at our home, we are not a boarding center, we are a personal home setting. In order to ensure the best success with this arrangement, a visit to your home where your dog is comfortable and not stressed is required before visiting our place of residence. This gives us important insight on your animals natural behaviors to ensure the best action/sitting experience not only for us - but especially for your animals. I have plenty of time for your pups and their specific needs/routines. We cater to every animal as if they were our own, and understand each one is special and different. We have a double fenced yard, with lots of open space indoors and out. Extra crates and or farm house furniture for your pets needs.

“She did an excellent job watching our cat ar hour home. She took her time to get to know the cat and gained her trust. Lots of good play/cuddles and will definitely rebook for next vacation or short trips.”

About: Taken care of families/peers pets, raised my own baby from 4 months old! Worked with school events inducing animals. Love hanging and being with dogs in general! I currently have an open free schedule! So I am available anytime needed as in same day care, I also have good transportation so I am able to travel. I have a fur baby, who roams around the house and yard with fenced walls to keep him safe, open to sitting at clients homes.

“Really thankful for both Mckenzie and Andre for taking care of our kitty on short notice! Our cat is normally a bit shy but he warmed up quickly, and we even got videos of him purring ? These guys did an excellent job, will definitely book in the future!”

About: I may be young, but I've had multiple animals in my life already: 3 cats, a handful of dogs, some fish, and even a horse. I also did rescue for 5 years, being a foster family for numerous cats working with my local animal shelter. I also dog-sit for family and friends. I am free any day throughout the week as long as I get notice at least a day ahead. I am an older sister to lots of kids, so scheduling is very important to me. I would treat your animal just like my own: walks, playtime, relaxation, and feeding. I can also bathe and brush as well. If you can give me a list of what your pets need, I'll make it a priority.

About: I have extensive experience taking care of cats, dogs, and chickens, but am open and excited to take care of all pets. I am new to Rover, but have completed over 40 sits through TrustedHousesitters watching many dogs, cats, and kittens, ranging from weekend sits to entire months and have been pet sitting full time for 1 and a half years. I have watched dogs and cats of all ages and have experience administering medication (including insulin, pills, liquid). I also have experience with a variety of farm animals as I watched an entire farm by myself including goats, sheep, turkeys, rabbits, cats and dogs. In addition to my recent experience through TrustedHousesitters, I have had many house/pet sitting gigs throughout the years. I periodically watched my housemates cat in college. I grew up dog sitting my family friend's dog and cat sitting for a couple of different families. I also nannied for 4 years, and have experience looking after houses, cleaning, and keeping my clients homes in great condition. I am originally from California, but my home base is Portland, OR. My favorite activities include running, hiking, and anything outdoorsy. I am a marathon runner and I have completed 6 marathons so far and have run numerous half marathons. I also really like exploring, traveling and trying new food and coffee places. I love to house/pet sit because it gives me the opportunity to be around cute pets and make some extra income as I recently moved back to Portland after taking a gap year. I have 3.5 years of experience working remotely in the medical communications field and I am a UC Davis alumni. While caring for your pet and home, I will be available on my cell and will text picture updates, so you can feel at ease while you are away and will be sure to give your pet plenty of cuddles and love.

“Kathy took such great care of my cats during my week away! The communication was great and I appreciated the regular photos. It was obvious they were getting lots of love and play. Would definitely rebook with Kathy and recommend her for your pet sitting needs.”

About: I grew up with all kinds of pets and animals. I have trained two dogs (big and small), and pet sit other people’s dogs regularly. I am a graduate student so you know you can rely on me to show up and take care of your fury friend. I am very flexible for June and July! Just let me know what your furry friend needs. I’m only available in the mornings on Mondays and Thursdays but the rest of the week is very open. I will stick to whatever schedule you currently have for your pet. I know consistency is important when they are missing you. If you have any house needs (plants, mail, etc) I am happy to help out there too.

“Kaiti was awesome!! She did two drop in visits for my cat and took great care of her while I was away. She was dependable, kept me updated, and made sure everything was taken care of. I’d definitely book her again!!”

About: Certified dog trainer and behaviorist. Pet CPR certified Medication dispensing knowledge Grooming knowledge I own a 2 year old Goldendoodle, Winnie. I raised her while going to school for my certification from 12 weeks old. I practice positive reinforcement with balanced training. We work hard and play harder, and love an active lifestyle. I'm a stay at home mom and I've got alot of time to love on more than my own animal and child. I like to stay busy. 7 days a week, 9am-9pm and weekends vary by need. Animals are family and treated as such in my home. They're given structure- taught manners, given time to play, to eat, to potty, to learn, and also to rest and just be themselves. I enjoy furry toddlers as much as I do my human children. I own a crate for those that are shy, and need security. Tons of toys, and I have a long lead which allows a dog (or cat) their freedom while still being leashed which is perfect for recall training as well as frolicking in the yard behind my apartment. I'll need to know if any client is sensitive around small children, as I have an infant. Animals must be up to date on vaccines, and rabies. Not open to intact pets over 2 years old.

About: I am exclusively a cat sitter, I do not offer dog services and am only doing this because Rover is making me do it. Haha. I currently at a stay at home mom that travels about 90 miles a day for my daughter's gymnastics, 6 days a week. I have lots of down time to love on your kitties while you are out of town! I am reliably (sometimes too much so) on time. I will go above and beyond to ensure that not only your cat's basic needs are met, but that they are loved and feel safe with my being there and love on them if they want. Having two cats who require someone to come over and cuddle when I leave town, I understand that the typical "cat" personality does not actually exist and that they are their own unique creatures.

About: I grew up taking care of animals since I was 10. I took care of all 6 of our dogs and trained them. Now I have a dog of my own and her obedience is skyrocketing. I get off work at 1pm on weekdays and have nothing better to do then want to be involved with fur babies. I love animals so much. I can do all the basic necessities of caring and handling a dog. I can crate a dog if needed i also know when a dog needs to be corrected and properly handling stressful situations.

“Graysen does an amazing job taking care of my cat Mighty. Graysen is conscientious and makes sure Mighty gets attention and care when he is at the house visiting and feeding Mighty. I loved the daily photos of Mighty and the updates on him. I have already schedule Graysen to come back for a week! I have a feeling Mighty is looking forward to his visits! Thank you so much, Graysen!”

About: I’ve been taking care of dogs since elementary school. Training horses and dogs has been my passion. Understanding dogs instincts and pack language helps me better serve their unique needs and personalities. My 35 years of animal care encompasses dog sitting, training, flying cross country on cabin with pup, breeding, and rearing physically and emotionally solid pups. I’ve ventured with my 4-legged buddies on hikes, walks, beach trips, long car drives, hotel stays, retirement homes, schools, river floats, horse rides, ranch work, and river walks. Living in the beautiful PNW there’s always fun to have with our pooches! I’m a work at home mom with four children and a beautiful tribe of animal, loving people. Kids and animals have routines to thrive. There’s always someone home to be with the dogs so no fur babe left behind on our watch. We go places the dogs can ride with us. Exploring the logging roads and nature walks are everyone’s favorite. Fenced yard and doggo doors allow for in and out as they please while at home. Routine starts with breakfast. Then it’s playtime with the kids while farm chores take place. If your dog eats 3x a day we’ll do lunch, more playtime, rest time since this is equally as important. Mental stimulation to stay sharp means using snuffle rugs, treat dispensers, hand feeding meals while reinforcing manners and obedience. My kids have a schedule and boundaries as do the animals giving everyone peace of mind.

Mackenzie-Jade A.
“My Name is Shayne K. and Jade has been a long time friend of mine. I've known her for several years now and throughout those years she's been know as a caring and loving provider and guardian of many animals. Over some years she's taken on many opportunities to care for animals whether it be through familial duties or through programs that provide foster care for young or baby animals. Her first priority is to the animals under her care and to make sure their physical and emotional well-being is kept.”

Catherine N.
“Catherine watched my cat, Rufus, on many weekends from 2018-2019. He is a skittish cat, especially around strangers, but he warmed up to her quickly. She fed him promptly and kept his water dish full and litter box clean. After Rufus had to have an emergency surgery, she aided me in watching after him while I was at work. I had been worried about him moving around too much and ripping his stitches out when I wasn't there to stop him. But my fears were calmed with her watching after him diligently and updating me when necessary or asking clarifying questions. Overall, Catherine is someone I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a hardworking and thorough pet caregiver.”

Kelly T.

“Kelly took great care of Poli!!!”

Phoebe B.
“Phoebe is one of the most responsible, reliable, and caring pet and house-sitters we've ever had. We have multiple species of pets and she is the first person I call. So, I'm a little conflicted about writing this review because now I'm going to have competition for her time. Hmmmm, I should have thought this through before agreeing to write a reference but when she asked, because she's also a wonderful person, I didn't hesitate.”

KAITLIN A.

“Karl is so great. He gets along really well with our dogs and is very reliable!”
