I quickly hopped on Rover to see who was near us, and decided to message MacKenzie based on other reviews that had been left. She was quickly able to come over and meet our gang to make sure it would be a fit. After that initial meeting, my husband and I both felt very comfortable and confident with her coming to stay and take care of things while we were gone. The day we were supposed to leave, we ran into some issues but MacKenzie was flexible and fast to communicate. She was very punctual and sent brief updates/questions throughout the week (she has our preference on communication and we had told her we didn't need regular check ins or updates). When we got home, we could tell our dogs and cats had missed us, but it was also clear that they had been well taken care of. Overall, if and when I may need another house & pet sitter, I wouldn't hesitate to reach back out to MacKenzie and I won't hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for help.”

“Where do I even begin. My family and I had to go out of town for a wedding and a funeral. We booked Alaina to stay with our English Bulldog Otis. When Alaina arrived for a meet and greet, she arrived extremely professional. She brought documents to capture, our fur babies routines, eating s Hercules, likes dislikes and all essential information. We informed her that he had developed a lesion on the side of his face in which we could not see the vet before leaving due to time constraints. Alaina immediately assessed and began building a rapport with Otis. Otis can sometimes “ jump up” when excited. She began working with him to sit and and stay, in which he felt compelled to comply. While we were gone, Alaina provided multiple updates daily, with pictures and a bio of his day, including updates on his lesion. It was to our surprise, once we entered our home, Alaina had cleaned the house, swept the living room and steps, the house looked immaculate. It was cleaner when she left than when she began house sitting for us. Her integrity and love for animals emulates immediately as soon as you meet her. I cannot say enough about this particular sitter, however if you are booking through Rover in the service area that she serves, it would be in your best interest to hire her services. We have lived in the area for 8 years and have had the need for a sitter on numerous occasions and hands down, Alaina is the best sitter we have found in the area. My husband and I will certainly be referring her services to everyone we know!! Alaina, we can’t thank you enough for the care of our sweet boy and the care of our home!! Thank you again!!”

About: I have taken care of animals since I was 7 years old and professionally since I was 18 years old. I love ALL animals. I have experience with the following animals: Bearded Dragons, Cats, Dogs, Ferrets, Rabbits, Fish, Hamsters, and Birds. I know how to administer shots and give medications orally to Cats, Dogs, and Ferrets. I believe that pets aren't pets - they are family. I live in a house with my husband, 4 month old baby, and 2 kitties. I work a 9-5 full time job but can take breaks to help with walks, potty breaks, and feedings. I have a full-time job however, I can take breaks throughout the day to attend to your animal's needs (walks, potty breaks, food, etc.). I have full availability on the weekends. I have 2 cats who get along with other animals. They roam around the house and tend to do their own thing. Staying in client homes, I will only use items/rooms that I am told can be used. I ALWAYS clean up after myself and will do light housework if asked/needed.

“Everything went very smoothly with Victoria taking care of our 14 year old dog and 4 year old cat. The request was made just days before we had to leave town for a family situation. Victoria was prompt responding to my initial request. She arrived promptly for a meet and greet, our dog loved her and our cat actually came out of hiding the second day and hung out with her! Victoria immediately put our minds to rest about using a new pet sitter so last minute. She kept us updated on how the kids were doing while we were away and left our house looking perfect when we arrived home. We will definitely contact her when we travel again.”

“Skylar was a wonderful pet sitter for my two pups. We had a video call and two drop in visits to meet before she stayed at my house for a week. She communicated with me daily and sent pictures. One of my dogs got sick while I was away and she picked up medication from the vet and nursed her back to health quickly so I did not have to leave my vacation. She was genuinely concerned and attentive and very gracious even though she had to clean up some unexpected accidents. Skylar even made my girl chicken and rice (but asked before giving it to her) to help her stomach. She went above and beyond in every way possible and my house was extremely clean when I returned. About: I’ve had animals most of my adult life. I’ve just lost my cat and dog this year and need the fulfillment that a pet can give you! Unconditional love and affection! I work part time 15 hours a week and am otherwise wide open with time. I’m also available for walks and check in’s with dogs and cats. I have a fairly large back yard and have no other animals to contend with. I am trust worthy, honest and loving to all animals I currently work 5 hours 3x a week and am otherwise home. My schedule is flexible. My husband is also available to help If needed. I have over 1/2 acre and would walk your dogs 3x a day or more if needed. I have a dog park and park close by.

About: Many members of my family have had dogs, cats, and various other types of pets for my entire life. In my own home, my parents began giving me pet care tasks to help me practice caring for animals when I was pretty young. These skills have developed significantly over the years. I am a loving and caring person and have always had a playful side. This being said, I am still able to handle stressful situations with a firm but compassionate hand. This gives me a distinct advantage when it comes to pet care. Currently I work two jobs, one full-time and one part-time. The full time job have regular hours M-F, 8am to 4pm. I would be able to do drop in visits both before work starts and after it ends. I usually work my part time job on weekends in the late morning- early afternoon. They are very flexible and as long as I get enough notice, I will be able to schedule visits then as well. I feed my cat on a regular schedule so I am able to do the same with your pet. I am also able and willing to play, bathe, or just hang out with your pets. Unfortunately I would not be able to have your pets in my apartment, as my complex does not allow unauthorized animals but I am more than willing to come to you!

About: I’ve previously worked for a doggie daycare/boarding facility. I was in charge of giving medications, daily feeding, walking, and grouped times when we would take all dog out for bathroom breaks. I also would stay outside with daycare groups for 2+ hours twice daily. I currently work as a barista so I’m free around 5:45pm-6pm after work till about 10pm tuesday-saturday. Sundays and Mondays are primarily my days off so I’m free to provide services. I currently have 1 dog and 2 cats that I care for. They all get fed at the same time and I walk my own dog at least once daily with occasional trips to the dog park. They all sleep with me in my bedroom every night as well.

About: Just a runner training to make the Olympics. I run full time which is fun but doesn’t pay the bills yet. I work and train while coaching on the side. I live in Ballard and have transportation so getting around and taking care of pets isn’t an issue! Love working with all types of animals. House sitting is always fun. I have been house sitting since I was 14 and get asked every so often to fill in and watch the pets while keeping the house clean. Willing to do anything to accommodate and make things as easy as possible for owners! Can’t wait to get started! I’m currently working full time hours, but I have flexibility in my schedule to accommodate most pets needs to be fed, walked, or played with I tend to ask questions about what the pets are allowed to do in home so that way I’m not breaking any rules or teaching unwanted habits.

About: I keep my eyes on pets and I allow them the illusion of freedom in the back yard (on camera). Helps them to feel independent. (Due to their nature I'm unable to board Yorkies (Yorkshire Terriers) and Morkies. Sorry for any inconvenience and thank you for understanding.) I'm at the house almost all day, and I can secure the pet in a cage when I need to run out to run errands. I monitor the pet closely and I walk them at potty time and play catch or tag of war with them in the back yard.
