About: I have more than 10 years of experience working at shelters and boarding facilities. I love spending time with animals. I treat each of them like they are my own. I have on several occasions House-sat and dog sat for friends, family, and coworkers. I have a pretty open schedule right now. Currently on a job hunt. I am available basically any time with proper notice. I am happy to help as I can. My back yard fence was knocked down because of a tornado that tore through our town. I prefer for now to stay at the owners place and follow all rules needed to care for their babies.
“Blake was amazing and took such great care of my girls! I’ve had some tough experiences with sitters recently which made me nervous, but Blake made me feel at ease and my animals warmed up to him so quickly! I will definitely book with Blake again”

“It was a pleasure to meet Olivia. She did a great job of watching our dog. She kept us informed and we appreciate the updates and pictures she sent. Our dog really liked her and we will definitely use her again.”

“Rachel did a fantastic job!! One of my dogs can be problematic, and she handled the situation perfectly. Great communication and attention to the details. Would definitely use her again in the future.”

“This was our first time using Rover and finding Candice was such a blessing! Our dates were on short notice and she made the effort to do our meet and greet same day as the booking! We have a new puppy and another dog with separation anxiety, and Candice was able to stay at our home for the weekend to care for them! She sent videos and pictures every day and you could see how much happier they were being in their own home with someone to care for them versus a strange kennel. I would definitely recommend Candice and will be keeping her as my pet sitter moving forward!”

“Anna was amazing with our dachshund and our cat. Her comnunication was consistent and her professionalism was impeccable. Our furry babies were relaxed and happy when we came home, so we know they were loved and spoiled while we were gone. We highly recommend Anna as a sitter!”

About: I’ve owned all kinds of dogs and cats since I was little. Family and friends have always relied on me to take care of their pets. I go to school part time so I am very flexible. Can leave school at anytime to come check on them. Usually done around 3. I have a fenced in yard and friendly dog to keep yours company. I have a crate and a splash pad. Dogs are welcome inside and out.

About: I’ve grown up alongside dogs and other animals and helped take care of them since I was young. When I was sixteen, my family adopted our puppy Sal at eight weeks old, and it was my responsibility to take care of him, train him, and love on him. From there, I volunteered at Almost Home animal shelter in Van Buren for two years, where I walked dogs of all sizes and weights, played with them, fed and cared for them, and cleaned out their kennels and bowls. As of now, I’m living away from my family dog since I’m in college, but I’m helping a friend of mine walk and train her newly adopted Cane Corso (she’s a sweetie). I’ve watched dogs for friends and family all through the years, as well. As far as cats go, I’ve loved them since I was a kid, and I adopted one two years ago! His name is Walter, he’s a tabby and the sweetest boy alive, and I love taking care of him, even if he shreds my arms sometimes. Pets need love and patience, and that’s exactly what I have for them. :) I’m currently out of college classes for the summer, so my schedule is very flexible! I can work with any requests you send me, so long as we have ample time to discuss everything you’re looking for. I can easily adapt to your pet’s regular schedule, including mealtimes, bedtime, medication, if they need to be crated, playtimes, etc. The comfort and happiness of your pet is my first focus.
About: Hi there! 👋 I'm Ingrid, your go-to dog sitter, walker, and drop-in buddy based in Siloam Springs. A Little About Me: I've been wagging tails and giving belly rubs since I was a kid – dogs have always been a part of my life! With over 20 years of experience, taking care of dogs feels like second nature to me. I currently have two adorable 10-year-old Miniature Schnauzers and a spunky 5-year-old Pitbull who are my constant companions on all my adventures. You know, my friends call me the "Crazy Dog Lady," and I wear that title with pride! Dogs bring so much joy to my life, and I genuinely love being around them! If I see a dog out in public, I always walk up to the owner and ask if I can pet their puppy (yes, I'm that person! 😊). I'm super passionate about this work because I know how tough it can be to find someone you trust to care for your pets as well as you do. I know no one will provide better care for your fur babies as you would, but I can promise to give them all the love, care, and attention they deserve! I'll do my absolute best to make sure they feel like the top dog in my care! When I’m not busy playing with pups, I enjoy hiking, exploring the great outdoors, and learning about animal behavior. I look forward to meeting you and your fur babies soon! Feel free to reach out with any questions or to schedule a meet-and-greet. 😊 Contact: Send me a message through Rover, and let's set up a time to discuss your pet’s needs! 😊
“Madelynn is absolutely fantastic. She is responsive, attentive, and a great communicator. I really appreciated her proactively checking-in and sharing photos of my dog throughout the day. It really put me at ease and allowed me to enjoy my vacation knowing my dog was so well taken care of. I am pretty sure she is my dog’s new BFF! I will definitely be booking her again and would highly recommend to anyone who needs a Rover.”

FAQs for House Sitting - Cincinnati
Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 507 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Cincinnati. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Cincinnati walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Cincinnati maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Cincinnati choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Cincinnati. On Rover:
- 100% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
