About: Hi, I’m Melissa! What sets me apart is my deep lifelong passion for animals. Animals have always been a huge part of my life. I’ve cared for dogs and cats from their very first days all the way through their golden years. On top of that, we’ve had horses for over 20 years and many outdoor cats too! I have a senior dog myself now and have been adapting his care to adhere to his age. I have trained puppies before with potty training, teething, and walking on a leash. About: I've cared for all kinds of pets, mainly dogs and cats - all sizes and breeds. Most recently, I traveled to the southwest, house sitting the winter in CA, AZ and NM. Each extended stay (2-3 weeks each) included caring for dogs and keeping their routine (feeding/watering, cleaning up after, daily walks, play time & grooming), and maintaining the household (water plants/garbage pickup/mail collection, etc.) for 3 months. Some needed medication, in which I'm comfortable with (instructions required) and some had minor behavioral issues, but all manageable.
