Alaina was great! She took the boys for some walks, one got muddy and she bathed him, and one also got an upset stomach one day in the house. She cleaned it all up and made sure he was good to go. She really did well with my furry kids. I will use her again whenever I am in need of someone to trust with them.

Autumn did great. She came and met my furry babies prior to sitting. Cairo is very timid, but he warmed up to her fairly quickly, and Siberia loves attention . Autumn also periodically sent pictures and communicated with me on how they were doing. I am definitely going to use her again. Thank you Autumn.

About: I’ve spent my whole life caring for animals, so it is much more than just a job to me. I understand that every pet has their own personality, routine, and comfort level. From energetic dog who needs extra walks and playtime to a cat who prefers a quiet visit, fresh food, and space to warm up on their own terms. With multiple years of pet-sitting experience, I’m comfortable handling daily feeding and fresh water, walks and exercise, playtime, potty breaks, litter box care, medication when needed, basic cleanup, overnight routines, and plenty of affection and reassurance while you’re away. My flexible schedule allows me to work with a variety of care needs, including daytime drop-ins, walks, extended visits, overnight stays, and last-minute requests when availability allows. I know how important it is to keep pets on their normal schedule and keep owners updated, so you can relax knowing your animals are safe, happy, and cared for like family. I also bring professional dog-grooming experience and training to every visit. Working as a groomer has taught me how to read dog body language, safely handle dogs with different temperaments, and help even nervous pets feel more comfortable. I have experience working with a variety of breeds, and sizes. My grooming background gives me an extra level of confidence in recognizing when a dog may be stressed, uncomfortable, or simply needs a little extra patience. I specialize in working with high anxiety or animal with special needs. My goal is to provide dependable, loving, and personalized care that fits both your pet’s needs and your schedule. I currently work part time as a dog groomer a few days a week. However my schedule allows for a lot of flexibility. I am able to accommodate almost any schedule. I’m comfortable handling daily feeding and fresh water, walks and exercise, playtime, potty breaks, litter box care, medication when needed, basic cleanup, and overnight routines. I can also provide in-home baths and nail trims for dogs with a small additional fee.

About: I’ve always been a big dog lover! I have worked as a kennel technician between 2021-2024 and the experience was amazing. To add I also have a senior (12) and a middle age dog (7) of my own. I love to take care of them. I am working full time Monday-Thursday with the availability of free evenings. I am fully available Friday-Sunday for dog walking and/or dog-sitting. I currently live in an apartment with two reactive pets. I would prefer to dog-sit as it would be safer for all pets. I am always gauging unbelonging behavior amongst my dogs.

Our dogs loved her right away, she was punctual, provided daily pictures, updates, and went above and beyond to offer peace of mind for the fur babies and our home. We are SO thankful to now have someone to reach out to for future travel needs! We highly recommend the introduction of Camri into your pets life!! You won’t be disappointed.

About: Hello! My name is Carrie, please allow me to introduce myself and explain to you why I quit my Monday through Friday 9 to 5 job. The short answer is simply because I love animals and from a very young age I wanted to work with animals and I wanted to help them. My passion has always been about helping animals so I helped anyway I could. I first started out working at a Pet Grooming Salon and there I bathed the animals, it was an awesome learning experience and I loved it! I am a firm believer that things only set in motion when it's time for them to happen, I tried to force my dreams into happening sooner and it never worked but I still wanted to find a way to help, even if it wasn't this big dream I had envisioned. I reached out to ASPCA, I participated in fundraisers for the Bella SPCA Foundation, I have rescued a few cats over the years and I began pet sitting for my family and friends and anyone who I could get my name out to and all the while working at a job that I was good at but it never fed my soul. "There is the most dangerous risk of all, the risk of not doing what you love, on the bet that you can buy yourself the freedom to do it later." This year my dream set in motion and I became in a position where I can focus on a Career working with animals full time. I do have two cats of my own; I have a 13 y/o Tuxedo cat, her name is Peaches Mari and I have a 2 y/o cat named Neko Lilo. I rescued Neko when she was 6 weeks old. Peaches and Neko are polar opposites but they love each other. I will love and care for your pet as much as I do my two cats, they're not "just a pet," they're my family. I cater to my cats, some may say they're spoiled but I like to think they're loved. I want your cat or dog to feel loved, safe and happy when I care for them. I am available for your temporary and permanent needs. I have committed to making this a full time Career. I am available to you whenever I'm needed, whether it be for your temporary or permanent needs. I currently live in a rent house and eventually I hope to have a space available to board at my future home but until then I'll be able to take care of your fur babies in their own safe space. I offer drop in visits and walking as well. I can ensure you that I will leave your home just as it was and I will check that all your doors are closed and locked before I leave each time. When I do drop in visits at your home I will feed them and make sure they have plenty of water. I will let them outside to potty or I will walk them; I will clean litter boxes too and I will clean up any messes that are made. You can be comfortable knowing they will receive all the love, attention and care while they're with me and please let me know if your animal has any special needs, out of the normal care, that will need to be met while they're in my care. I have training in CPR/First Aid and I can administer oral medications. I invest 100 percent of my spare time into Rover, I no longer have a 9 to 5 job; so I am available for any drop in visits or walks that you may need. I am very flexible with your schedule. I will care for them, in your home, however you need. I like to keep them on their original schedules as much as possible, so I will do everything you would normally do for them.

Cassie always goes above and beyond with house sitting and watching my animals. This is the second year we have used her for any and all house/dog/cat sitting requests and she has never once let us down. We so appreciate her attentiveness to the animals, respect to our home, and love she gives to our animals. The pictures at the end of the day are always a plus. I always recommend Cassie to anyone looking for an animal sitter.

About: Pet care is my life and I love it! I am now a certified Good Pup Trainer and am working on taking the PCSS testing. I am rolling out a new plan for 15 minute drop ins for those who just require a quick potty break in their own yard. Please contact me for details and pricing! I accept last minute bookings (when available) and cancelations! A meet and greet is the best way to ensure that I am a good fit to walk and/or care for your pet! I have volunteered and fostered for animal rescues and shelters for the six years that I have been back living in Oklahoma. I was born and raised here, but lived on a farm in western Kansas for twenty years where I have many years experience caring for my pets and fostering /shelter and rescue. It is end of August 2026 and 104° as I write this, but fall IS COMING. This means shorter days. I no longer provide walks after dark. I still offer drop ins up to 10pm as long as the roads are not icy. In icy weather, depending on the current situation, I do not provide drop-ins after sun down. I now offer pet transport. I have a cargo van outfitted for pets to travel safely in. Some examples of transportation events are to/from daycare or boarding, vet appointments, grooming appointments and play time at parks. As of now I have one van and I am the driver, so local transport is available. Please feel free to contact me regarding transport. Pet care is my full time love. I will do everything I can to accomodate your pet's needs. If you look at my schedule and see the time you wanted to request is not available, go ahead and send a request and let's see if I can work something in. I am now offering short, drop-in potty breaks of 15 minutes. Arrival times vary as I must do this along my daily route. These are $15 each and are to provide quick potty breaks and water refill/refresh in your yard only. I travel between Mid-Del, Choctaw, Spencer, Jones and Harrah every weekday. I sometimes have openings for south or north Okc, Paseo and Midtown, just ask. If I can not accomdate you, I would be more than happy to be back up for your perfect fit sitter, just reach out! I am happy to care for your pets in any way you prefer in your home. Doggy daycare and boarding are not great fits for me because I have regular, weekly clients that I service and am gone from home often. I also have personal giant breed dogs that are often intimidating to other dogs. However, in an emergency or back up type situation, I can crate and rotate and come home between my weekday appointments when possible.I do provide transport to/from doggy daycare and boarding locally!

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Choctaw on Rover is $29.96 per night (as of September 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of September 2026, there are 836 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Choctaw. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Choctaw walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Choctaw maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Choctaw choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Choctaw. On Rover:

  • 89% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 95% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
