“I really appreciated Eva’s flexibility when we needed someone to check in our dog during our MV vacation. She came a day before our service date to meet us and Luna, who was instantly comfortable with her. She (and her daughter) went above and beyond to meet our needs and in communicating with us. I would definitely use them again in a future trip to the island.”

About: I have been working part time at the vets office for two years, taking care of boarded animals. I see a large variety of pets weekly, as I am a kennel attendant. I meet dogs and cats of all ages and breeds all the time. I have always had a special connection with animals. I stopped eating meat when I was six years old because I learned the chickens on the farm were what chicken nuggets are made of. I’ve grown up helping out at farms, as I’ve always had a drive to help animals to the best of my ability. I’ve been watching pets for the past three years and I have never met a dog that didn’t end up liking me by the end of the day! My entire life is based around animals, as I have my own pets and I’m a full-time pet sitter. I truly spend more time with pets than people, and I enjoy it. I take great pride in caring for pets, whether in my own home or others'. I go above and beyond to ensure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable, providing them with personalized attention and care. From maintaining their routines to offering plenty of playtime and cuddles, I make sure their environment is stress-free and enjoyable. Whether it's administering medications or ensuring they have all the comforts they need, I treat each pet as if they were my own, always striving to exceed expectations! I do not take any dogs with even the slightest aggression towards other animals into my home.

About: I have periodically taken care of pets all of my life. A roommate of mine had a lab, Lola, and we lived together for 3 years. I knew her from when she was a puppy. I also have other friends now who have dogs and I often care for them. My partner's family also has a scottie, and my relatives have both doodles and labs that I take care of often. I just left my corporate job and am taking some time off while I study for both my school teaching and pilates teaching certification exams. I mostly have an open schedule. Happy to follow whatever environment you wish for your pet. I am careful about closing doors slowly/not opening them all the way/not leaving them open to ensure security.

About: I bring high-energy, all-terrain enthusiasm to every pet I care for! Whether I’m biking, swimming, running, walking, rollerblading, or scootering, I stay active so your dog can too. I’ve worked with pups of all ages—from playful puppies to mellow seniors—and tailor each walk or visit to fit their pace and personality. Pets aren’t just cared for, they’re engaged and uplifted. Let’s turn walk time into mission time! I work from home full-time, which means I’m always nearby and flexible. Pet care fits naturally into my day—I schedule walks, playtime, and snuggles around my work. I treat every pet like family—whether they're with me or I'm visiting their home. I have a fenced yard for safe outdoor time and two friendly dogs for social play. I follow any special instructions you provide and can crate your pup if needed. Clean spaces, constant supervision, and a whole lot of love ensure your pet’s comfort and security.

About: Animals have always been part of my life. When I was younger I had a Yorkshire Terrier, I had to look after her every day, and when she had puppies I cared for them until they grew up. I currently have a Boston Terrier and an Australian Shepherd but they live in my Guatemala home, I used to take them for walks in the park and often to the beach or to volcanoes. When I was living in Guatemala I helped take care of a blind dog by assisting with the food, walks, and by watching him. I have taken care many times of my friend's dogs, I play with them and take them for walks. I love dogs and all kinds of animals, I would love to take care of your pet!

About: ***AVAILABLE ON MARTHAS VINEYARD ONLY*** - Intermittently on Nantucket but dates of availability only reflect that of MV. Please inquire with a message for Nantucket :) My experience with animals began as a child both with family pets and horseback riding. Being on the farm at such a young age instilled in me a love for animals that has only grown over the years. It also allowed me a front row seat to better understanding animals and their individual behaviors. Throughout the years, I have become proficient in medication administration and personalized feedings scheduled and requirements. I have also been privileged to be around animals of all kinds and ages and I look forward to providing your young and senior pets with the extra love and attention they require and deserve. In my day to day life I am a licensed and trained paramedic which has helped me better harness the patience and understanding often required when helping animals and their families. For those of you that have pets with boundless energy, I go for a minimum 5 mile walk daily that could only be made better by the accompaniment of your four legged family member. I look forward to meeting you and your perfect pets! I currently work part time as a paramedic which allows for a lot of freedom and flexibility in my schedule to help you and your pet. As I will be watching your pet in the comfort of your home- I will always want to know what helps them adjust to change best in your absence. How can I make them, and you, feel more comfortable? What toys do they love? What types of check ins work best for you and what information do you prefer to be kept up to date on? Does your pet have any health history or allergies? What ever you think will make this experience best for you and your pet is information I would love to be made aware of!

About: I have been a pet sitter for the last 10 years, working for neighbors as well as for the families I was nannying for. I am committed to the dogs I am caring for and I will treat them as if they are my own. I currently work in a hotel and taking care of animals in my free time would be work that I am very passionate about. I am happy to take the dogs on walks, or host in your home. I currently work part time so I would love to fill my free time caring for animals. I spend most nights on long walks so it would be great to have a companion to keep me company. I am very responsible and trustworthy. I would treat your dog and your home as if it is my own. I am happy to feed, play, walk, go to the beach, or anything that will make the pets happy.

About: People have trusted me to take care of their pets for decades. As a positive rewards trainer-in-training, I provide excellent, loving care to puppies, kittens, senior pets and all stages between. Depending on your needs, I can make most days and times work. Feel free to ask for what you need and we can discuss further. I cannot bring other pets into my own home, but I can spend nights at yours and/or housesit. I will follow your instructions to the letter, I will respect your privacy, I will bring no one but myself, and I will leave everything exactly how you left it.

About: I’ve taken care of friends and families animals since I was old enough. I grew up with animals constantly around. I have experience with senior dogs and dogs that have medical needs. I am very flexible during the week mon-fri, and the occasional Saturday. I am unavailable Sundays. I am an early riser so I could always do early morning visits and walks I would prefer to care for pets in their home or outside. For the right fit with my own dog I would be happy to have play dates in my large yard which is set back off a quiet dirt road

“Marc was amazing! I had to change the time for Sally’s walk about three times and he was kind enough to accommodate us. Sally loved meeting Marc’s 3-year old son who joined on the walk. I am sure he was smothered with kisses (a disadvantage of being her same height)!”

About: Hello! My name is Rachel and I live in Vineyard Haven, MA. I grew up with different dogs in my childhood home and have had experience taking care of pets for various family members and neighbors. This includes dog walking, feeding, bathing, and administering oral medication. I have also consistently pet-sat for both dogs and cats for multiple nights. I work a remote part-time job with a flexible schedule so I will be fully available to go on walks, pet sit, and have play time anytime during the week and on weekends. Currently, I don’t have a dog in my household because of specific apartment rules but that means I have more love to give. I’m extremely reliable, responsible, caring, and hardworking and will listen, respect, and honor the owner’s specific care or needs for their pet. I’ll ensure full transparency and will communicate regular updates to the owner via phone or email. I look forward to meeting your pet and will make sure their experience with me is nothing but the best!

About: I’ve taken care of Bernese mountain dogs my entire life, love walking and love walking dogs even more! Huge fan of all breeds and experienced boarding friends and family members dogs. Knowledgable of bondsing with dogs and light training. I work from home so have plenty of time to walk, pet, feed and let out dogs between meetings into the yard. Have plenty of experience with wild dogs, old lazy ones and scared dogs, too. I have a fenced yard and constantly check on dogs even just to pet them because how could you not want to. Have crates and plenty of treats, bowls and dog supplies

About: I adore dogs and have been a consistent pet and home sitter for several families on Martha’s Vineyard over the last 8 years. I am tidy, responsible, and take care of pets as if they were my own. I love to take daily long walks (3-5 miles) and the companionship of a dog makes this personal routine so much more fun. It’s not possible for me to have a pup of my own in my current housing so getting to spend time with other dogs brings me so much joy. Work freelance as a henna artist and with a catering company on island. I have a varied work schedule with most mornings open, happy to try to make your pet care needs fit into my day. I’m a great communicator and will always make sure I fully understand the needs of your home and pet before I agree to a job. I want us both to have a clear understanding and expectation of the level of care required so that everyone is comfortable. I am very respectful and mindful that every pet and home is unique, the details matter to me.

About: Having accumulated over 15 years of experience in pet care, I've developed a deep understanding and comfort in tending to pets of all ages, from sprightly youngsters to wise seniors, each with their unique set of needs and requirements. This extensive tenure has equipped me with the skills and adaptability to cater to diverse situations, ensuring every pet's well-being and happiness, regardless of their stage in life or specific care necessities. My schedule is highly adaptable; working from home allows me to cater to your pet's needs. I accommodate walks or bathroom breaks based on your preferences. I'd love to walk your pet in the woods or on a bike trail, maybe play ball at the park. I provide in-house care, prioritizing your pet's comfort and respecting your home.

About: Beyond being a dog owner myself to my beloved rescue Jordi, I've also taken more dog sitting jobs than I can count. I LOVE dogs! I like to go the extra mile by taking dogs on extra long walks and adventures, always administering their medication at the correct time, giving dogs extra love and cuddles, and always keeping the house super neat and tidy. I already walk my own dog twice a day, and he loves walking with a friend! If you need a drop in visit or occasional help with a dog walk, it's already a part of my routine. Of course I do not need to bring my own dog, but if your dog enjoys the companionship of other dogs, it could be a great option! I am not allowed to have any more pets other than my own where I am currently living so I will not be able to board your dog, only house sit. Thanks for understanding.

Katherine B.
“I'd highly recommend Katherine as a pet sitter - she did a great job when she took amazing care of my little baby, who can be pretty needy and high maintenance at times. She was patient, attentive, and went above and beyond to make sure my pet felt comfortable and loved. I trust her completely and know she’ll provide the best care for any animal!!”

Megan P.

“Megan was great! Timely & I’m super appreciative of the pictures she took while with my pup!”

Alexandru G.
“Alex is the kind of person animals just trust. He’s calm, gentle, and super reliable. Someone you’d feel completely at ease leaving your pet with. He’s great at communicating and just a solid, responsible human all around. Highly recommend!”

Daniella A.
“Daniella was a wonderful dog sitter! She looked after my dog and made sure she had enough water and food. Daniella is a kind and caring person and it shows in the way she treats animals. I trust her with my dog and would recommend her to everyone. My dog bonded with her and really looked like she enjoyed having Dani around to play with her while I was away!”

Olivia H.
“Olivia is simply the best! She has cared for our 4 large dogs, 3 Saint Bernards and one Golden Retriever, for 5 years. Not only does she provide excellent animal care, but our home is also well taken care of. Olivia is punctual, reliable and an excellent communicator. I never worry when she is around. Would highly recommend her!”

Lexi G.
“Lexi is an amazing dog sitter. Always on time, helps with anything I need & flexible with my schedule. She loves & cares for my dog as her own. My dog highly recommends her!”

Caroline H.

“Caroline was a pleasure to have by and meet the pack! Looking forward to having her back.”

Jennifer Z.
“Jennifer seems to really enjoy dogs and is very attentive and responsible when tending to them. She’s careful to ensure they get enough exercise during her daily walks by transitioning from walking to running as her dog’s needs and interests change. Letting anyone take care of your dog is as important as tending to your children and I do think she’ll take great care of them.”

Bryann B.
“Bryann doesn’t even consider her own dog as an animal, he is more of a child to her. She has printed out stickers of his face in her car… what I am trying to imply is that she would take a bullet for your animal. She is reliable, on time, trustworthy, and has common sense(sometimes that’s hard to come by). Bryann would be an amazing animal caregiver.”

Jessica V.

“Jessica was super responsible and went above and beyond everything I asked her to do. We went away for a weekend, and came back to a happy cat! Absolutely recommend her!”

Morgan B.

“Morgan is a great communicator! She kept us up to date on her schedule and made sure our dog was well taken care of while we went out to dinner. I'd certainly recommend her!”

Marc A.

“Marc was amazing! I had to change the time for Sally’s walk about three times and he was kind enough to accommodate us. Sally loved meeting Marc’s 3-year old son who joined on the walk. I am sure he was smothered with kisses (a disadvantage of being her same height)!”

Rachel C.
“Trusting, reliable and caring are some of Rachels qualities. Those reasons are why I’m happy she takes care of my fur babies, Archie and Peyton. I know my home and pets are safe when I leave them in her hands. Thank you for being there for us.”

Bridgette B.
“Bridgette was the first person to ever watch my dog and home for me, and she couldn’t have been a better pick! I got my dog Oliver during the pandemic, and for the first year of his life he was literally pinned to my side. So naturally, I was a bit anxious about leaving him with someone else! Bridgette was a dream. She immediately bonded with Oli and I had no doubts that he was getting the love and care he needed in my absence. She sent me daily update texts with photos, which was so helpful in making me feel comfortable leaving him! Upon my return, the house was left immaculate, and my Oli pup was happy and well cared for. To this day, his level of excitement upon seeing Bridgette is unparalleled. Dream Dogsitter, dream house sitter- I can’t recommend her enough!”

Blossom P.
“Blossom is incredibly dependable and attentive as a pet caregiver. She eliminates all stress related to animal care. She is an excellent communicator and quickly learns routines, making her exceptional at providing optimal care. Her compassion for animals makes her an obvious choice! There’s no one more I trust with my pets.”
