About: I've always had both dogs and cats since I was little. Both my sweet kitties needed medication their entire life so I have experience administrating medication if needed. I'm usually my friends go to choice for a dog walker, feeder and pet sitter for long trips during the summer due to my teacher schedule. I currently am only avaliable on weekends as I work full time but I will be avaliable during week days starting in July. During that time, I will have availability for weekends and weekdays. You know your pet best! Before any services, I like to ask questions on your pets daily routine, medications, behavior and feeding routine. This is so I can provide the best care possible for your pet!

“My dog Rufus loved Rufus right away. She is reliable and caring. I love the pictures she sends and Rufus is nice and tired out afterwards. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a dog walker.”

About: I have taken care of dogs for about five years. My girl loves hiking and long walks. I love taking pups on long walks to tire them out!! I am currently going to school with a pretty open schedule. Looking for odd jobs to fill in the gaps and make a little bit on the side. I have a friendly fixed female who is crate trained. I also have a fenced in yard but prefer walks around the block with pups.

About: I bring high-energy, all-terrain enthusiasm to every pet I care for! Whether I’m biking, swimming, running, walking, rollerblading, or scootering, I stay active so your dog can too. I’ve worked with pups of all ages—from playful puppies to mellow seniors—and tailor each walk or visit to fit their pace and personality. Pets aren’t just cared for, they’re engaged and uplifted. Let’s turn walk time into mission time! I work from home full-time, which means I’m always nearby and flexible. Pet care fits naturally into my day—I schedule walks, playtime, and snuggles around my work. I treat every pet like family—whether they're with me or I'm visiting their home. I have a fenced yard for safe outdoor time and two friendly dogs for social play. I follow any special instructions you provide and can crate your pup if needed. Clean spaces, constant supervision, and a whole lot of love ensure your pet’s comfort and security.

“It was my first time using Rover and it was a great experience! Laurel showed up as scheduled which was twice on the same day and was great at responding to my messages! I would definitely use her again.”

About: I was fortunate to grow up two family dogs, an experience that instilled within me a profound understanding of the responsibility and joy associated with taking care of a canine companion. In the past few years my previous dog care experiences encompass an array of different responsibilities such as structured walks, daily drop-ins, puppy playdates, overnight stays and administering medications. My dog care skills include basic training, healthcare knowledge, safety awareness and communication with the pet owners. I love to bring dogs I care for on special adventures such as hiking trips or dog stores. I am currently a student at Quinnipiac University but have a relatively flexible schedule. I am available for boarding Monday through Sunday and am available for dog walking in the afternoons Tuesday through Sunday. For boarding, the apartment complex I live in has a fenced in yard to bring the dogs to play. The apartment complex provides a safe area to walk the dogs. For dog walking, I will ensure that the dog stays on the leash at all times to sure their safety.

About: I have been working part time at the vets office for two years, taking care of boarded animals. I see a large variety of pets weekly, as I am a kennel attendant. I meet dogs and cats of all ages and breeds all the time. I have always had a special connection with animals. I stopped eating meat when I was six years old because I learned the chickens on the farm were what chicken nuggets are made of. I’ve grown up helping out at farms, as I’ve always had a drive to help animals to the best of my ability. I’ve been watching pets for the past three years and I have never met a dog that didn’t end up liking me by the end of the day! My entire life is based around animals, as I have my own pets and I’m a full-time pet sitter. I truly spend more time with pets than people, and I enjoy it. I take great pride in caring for pets, whether in my own home or others'. I go above and beyond to ensure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable, providing them with personalized attention and care. From maintaining their routines to offering plenty of playtime and cuddles, I make sure their environment is stress-free and enjoyable. Whether it's administering medications or ensuring they have all the comforts they need, I treat each pet as if they were my own, always striving to exceed expectations! I do not take any dogs with even the slightest aggression towards other animals into my home.

About: I have been a pet sitter for the last 10 years, working for neighbors as well as for the families I was nannying for. I am committed to the dogs I am caring for and I will treat them as if they are my own. I currently work in a hotel and taking care of animals in my free time would be work that I am very passionate about. I am happy to take the dogs on walks, or host in your home. I currently work part time so I would love to fill my free time caring for animals. I spend most nights on long walks so it would be great to have a companion to keep me company. I am very responsible and trustworthy. I would treat your dog and your home as if it is my own. I am happy to feed, play, walk, go to the beach, or anything that will make the pets happy.

About: I've been looking after dogs and cats since I was 12! They've ranged from my grandma's shitzu to dog sitting mastiffs! I've even watched reptiles like ball pythons and geckos. I've walked, bathed, fed, watered, and loved them the whole time. I, myself, have 2 bunnies, fish, and a ball python. All together the most dogs I've ever watched at the same time was 28! It was 5 adults dogs, one puppy the equivalent to a toddler, and 22 puppies! At the moment I'm hoping that pet care will become a full-time job. At the moment I am able to do any day and any time. I, sadly, do not have a cute puppy or kitty to play with your fur baby, however it just means they get more love from me! I can lift a 75 pound dog if needed and have the resources to contain one if necessary.

“A plus. She is great. Coco loves her”

“Rachel is an excellent dog walker. She is so kind and compassionate with animals, and was so great with our can-sometimes-be-a-bit-challenging Border Collie! She was wonderful on his daily walks, and took great care of him in our home while we were away. She is smart and responsible and an all-round great person. Highly recommend!”

About: I adore dogs and have been a consistent pet and home sitter for several families on Martha’s Vineyard over the last 8 years. I am tidy, responsible, and take care of pets as if they were my own. I love to take daily long walks (3-5 miles) and the companionship of a dog makes this personal routine so much more fun. It’s not possible for me to have a pup of my own in my current housing so getting to spend time with other dogs brings me so much joy. Work freelance as a henna artist and with a catering company on island. I have a varied work schedule with most mornings open, happy to try to make your pet care needs fit into my day. I’m a great communicator and will always make sure I fully understand the needs of your home and pet before I agree to a job. I want us both to have a clear understanding and expectation of the level of care required so that everyone is comfortable. I am very respectful and mindful that every pet and home is unique, the details matter to me.

“Josh was great! He was always on time and my dog loved him. He took my dog on energetic walks and my dog always came home tired. I would definitely recommend him for anyone looking for a dog walker.”

About: Having accumulated over 15 years of experience in pet care, I've developed a deep understanding and comfort in tending to pets of all ages, from sprightly youngsters to wise seniors, each with their unique set of needs and requirements. This extensive tenure has equipped me with the skills and adaptability to cater to diverse situations, ensuring every pet's well-being and happiness, regardless of their stage in life or specific care necessities. My schedule is highly adaptable; working from home allows me to cater to your pet's needs. I accommodate walks or bathroom breaks based on your preferences. I'd love to walk your pet in the woods or on a bike trail, maybe play ball at the park. I provide in-house care, prioritizing your pet's comfort and respecting your home.

“Justin was great with our dog Ruby when we hired him to walk her on a day we weren't around - he arrived on time and worked to establish a good relationship with her even though she started out a bit leery of having someone new! We got a full report on the interaction after. Highly recommended!”

About: I go to Upper Cape Tech and I am in the vet sciences shop. I have worked at a doggy daycare and I currently work at a canine physical therapy facility. I love all animals. I know how to give medications, understand body language, and I know canine cpr. I go to school at upper cape tech where I have worked with many kinds of animals. I am planning on going to college to become a vet technician so I am looking to get all of the experience with pets that I can get. I have done dog sitting before and I keep their house very clean and make sure the dog is comfortable while I’m there. In my own home I’m always sure that my dogs have everything they need and they’re always happy!

About: Beyond being a dog owner myself to my beloved rescue Jordi, I've also taken more dog sitting jobs than I can count. I LOVE dogs! I like to go the extra mile by taking dogs on extra long walks and adventures, always administering their medication at the correct time, giving dogs extra love and cuddles, and always keeping the house super neat and tidy. I already walk my own dog twice a day, and he loves walking with a friend! If you need a drop in visit or occasional help with a dog walk, it's already a part of my routine. Of course I do not need to bring my own dog, but if your dog enjoys the companionship of other dogs, it could be a great option! I am not allowed to have any more pets other than my own where I am currently living so I will not be able to board your dog, only house sit. Thanks for understanding.

About: ***AVAILABLE ON MARTHAS VINEYARD ONLY*** - Intermittently on Nantucket but dates of availability only reflect that of MV. Please inquire with a message for Nantucket :) My experience with animals began as a child both with family pets and horseback riding. Being on the farm at such a young age instilled in me a love for animals that has only grown over the years. It also allowed me a front row seat to better understanding animals and their individual behaviors. Throughout the years, I have become proficient in medication administration and personalized feedings scheduled and requirements. I have also been privileged to be around animals of all kinds and ages and I look forward to providing your young and senior pets with the extra love and attention they require and deserve. In my day to day life I am a licensed and trained paramedic which has helped me better harness the patience and understanding often required when helping animals and their families. For those of you that have pets with boundless energy, I go for a minimum 5 mile walk daily that could only be made better by the accompaniment of your four legged family member. I look forward to meeting you and your perfect pets! I currently work part time as a paramedic which allows for a lot of freedom and flexibility in my schedule to help you and your pet. As I will be watching your pet in the comfort of your home- I will always want to know what helps them adjust to change best in your absence. How can I make them, and you, feel more comfortable? What toys do they love? What types of check ins work best for you and what information do you prefer to be kept up to date on? Does your pet have any health history or allergies? What ever you think will make this experience best for you and your pet is information I would love to be made aware of!

About: I have trained, and cared for dogs for my entire adult life. My wife and I have chosen to adopt some of the dogs that had harder times finding homes; senior dogs, dogs requiring medical care, high energy dogs, so we're happy to care for your animal, quirks and all. I can take care of your pets in your home, I am always up for taking them on a trail walk, neighborhood walk, or beach walk when the season/timing allows. And we are able to host pets in our home. We have an indoor kennel space for dogs, a fenced in yard, and they can play with our 3 lab mixes, or not, as you prefer. I work from home, and take care of the kids and pets throughout the day so I am able to pop over to where your pet is, on island, or care for them in home. I am happy to come to your home, where your pet is most comfortable. We also have a fenced in yard, with indoor kennel space

Ixia A.
“From the moment she first met Madison, our lively Labrador Retriever, it was clear that Ixia had a natural connection with dogs. Her warmth, professionalism, and incredible attention to detail made every walk and care session a stress-free experience for both Madison and us. She not only ensured Madison got plenty of exercise but also took the time to engage her in thoughtful play, reinforcing positive behaviors and making their time together fun and stimulating. Madison would always return home happy, relaxed, and well cared for. Beyond that, Ixia was consistently punctual, responsible, and went the extra mile—whether it was bringing fresh water, wiping Madison’s paws after a muddy adventure, or keeping us updated with adorable photos from their outings. If you're looking for a dog walker who treats your furry companion like family and provides service that is above and beyond, Ixia is the one you need. We are so grateful for her dedication, kindness, and expertise. Madison absolutely adores her, and we couldn’t be happier!”

“Alex is someone whom I would recommend to watch or care for their pet without a second thought.
