I cannot say enough about Nancy and Greg! I booked them for the first time today. They came over for a meet and greet yesterday and Cammie fell in love with them. I could instantly tell they both have a love for dogs. I was very impressed with their professionalism as well. They had a sheet for Cammie with all of her likes and dislikes. Cammie is my baby and it means so much to me to know she’s in great hands. Thank you again! I will be rebooking soon!

Carrie is the sweetest animal lover I have ever met! Jesse absolutely loves Miss Carrie! She sits at the window every day and looks for her new friend. I took her for a late walk tonight and Jesse is so much more playful and SO MUCH faster. She wants to run now! I can finally let go of the guilt of working so much. Carrie takes care of Jesse like she was her own! I would fully,100% recommend Carrie to anyone with a “Baby” like ours. She is part of our family now and I am honored to have her as Jesse’s “Miss Carrie “! Thank you for putting a leap back in her walks! The pictures during the walk are precious!??

About: I worked with my mom supporting her territory with a different pet sitting company while I was growing up. I have experience with dogs, cats, rodents, lizards, fish, and horses. I have owed cats, dogs, hamsters, gerbils, rats, fish, and lizards. I am a special education teacher with a master’s degree looking for income while I re-enter the job market. I have an existing relationship with a local vet who also provides emergency care. I am up early to help my son get ready for school, so coming to a pet’s home multiple times a day to provide care fits easily into my schedule. I am available for multiple visits and happy to provide communication about the visit. I care for pets in the client’s home according to the guidelines provided while observing the pet for any health or behavioral concerns. I communicate frequently and have an emergency vet ready if it should ever be needed.

About: I’ve had dogs since I was a kid. I lost my fur baby Oakley(in my pic) to cancer in 2023. Whether it’s throwing a ball, going for a nice walk or lounging on the couch and cuddling I’ll give your fur baby all the attention they want! I have experience giving oral medication and insulin injections to dogs as well as cats. Picking up and discarding poop doesn’t bother me! I’m a stay at home wife and mama to a six year old son who is now in elementary school so I have plenty of time to spend with your fur babies! I worked as a pet sitter/dog walker for a company in 2018-2019. My schedule is very flexible! Your babies can stay in their own home where they’re most comfortable! I’ll come to them to keep their routine as normal as possible! I do have experience giving insulin shots to both dogs and cats.

About: I've been pet sitting for family, friends, and neighbors for about eight years, starting while I was in school. Caring for animals has always been something I genuinely enjoy, and over the years I've had the opportunity to look after pets with all kinds of personalities and needs. A big part of my love for animals comes from my sister, who has dedicated herself to rescuing dogs, cats, chickens, and just about any animal that needs a safe place to land. Her passion inspired me to adopt two rescue pets of my own—my dog, Sissy, and my cat, Bubby—and they mean the world to me. The most important thing I bring to every pet I care for is genuine love, patience, and attention. Whether I'm caring for energetic puppies and kittens or providing gentle, attentive care for senior pets, I treat every animal like they're part of my own family. My goal is always to help pets feel safe, happy, and loved while you're away. I currently work part-time, which gives me plenty of flexibility to care for your pets throughout the week. Whether your pet needs walks, playtime, meals, potty breaks, or just some extra love and attention, I'm happy to help! I'm primarily available on weekdays, with some weekend availability as well. My typical hours are between 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM, though I'm often able to accommodate earlier, later, or custom times when needed. If you have a specific schedule in mind, feel free to reach out—I'm happy to work with you whenever possible! Your pet's safety, comfort, and happiness are always my top priorities. I have a fully fenced backyard in the Fox Grove community in Dawsonville, giving dogs a safe space to play and explore while supervised. At home, I have a friendly cat and my rescue dog, Sissy, who can be a little anxious around new animals at first. Because of this, I always take introductions thoughtfully and will only accept pets into my home when I feel it's a good fit for everyone's comfort and safety. I'm also more than happy to care for your pets in their own home, where many animals feel the most relaxed and secure. Whether I'm visiting for walks, feeding, playtime, or overnight care, I'll make every effort to keep your pet's routine as consistent as possible and provide plenty of love, attention, and companionship while you're away. I know how much trust it takes to leave your pet in someone else's care, and I treat every animal as if they were one of my own.

  • 94% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
