“Ligia took very good care of my dog during her post op. She really was flexible with drop off and pick up times. It was very nice having my mind at ease that my fur baby was with someone that was showing her attention and giving her medication after her surgery. Thank you so much!!! ❤️”

“Rebekah was fantastic with our shy little guy. He opened up right away with her and her family. She let us know of his progress throughout the day and kept track of all his activities. She is definitely going to be seeing a lot more of my Caiden and his big sister Georgia.”

“Jessica and her husband were amazing with my dog! She was also very accommodating since it was a last minute booking out of town. I can honestly say I felt as though my dog was being loved and cared for just as she does her own! She sent pics of the day and even potty reports. I highly recommend her!”

“Yeny and Ray were so accommodating for our pup, we needed someone to watch our dog and they were the only ppl that could last minute. We couldn’t have chosen anyone better to watch our baby. They were so caring , kind and truly made us feel at ease. We were sent updates and photos throughout our dogs stay, which we appreciated. I wish I lived in VA they would be an easy pick ! Thank you again !”

“Svetlana took great care of our 2 dogs on a last minute notice for the day. She is so kind, and good with the dogs. Her house is clean and tidy (1 of my dogs likes to chew everything), and she has a nice large fenced in yard for the dogs to run around in. I highly recommend her, and will definitely book with her again. Thank you so much!!”

About: I have lots of experience with crate training and a very energetic pup in my house who needs lots of socialization. He and I both need friends and exercise. I work from home and am attending school a couple of days a week, so I have time the rest of the week to get some fresh air. I have also fostered several dogs over the years and enjoy having furry friends that I can love and then give back. When I introduce a new dog to our family, I always keep them on leash at first until we establish trust, always use the crate for feeding and at night with white noise to help anxiety. I want the dog and my family to have the best time possible.

About: I enjoy being around animals, fur babies are the sweetest. I try my best to make sure they are comfortable around me and not push them to like me right away, I am so use to watching my own pets that now that my dogs have passed I have all this time available. My routine stays the same for me. Providing food water, exercise, walks are amazing for pets to help with their mood. Clear countertops to ensure dogs don’t have access to garage bags, even if I’m in a fence yard supervise pets during outdoor activities. Very mindful of potential hazards. Provide a comfortable environment for the pet.

About: I have always had a dog for as long as I can remember. I grew up with dogs and I love them. We currently have two dogs. I have a male Golden doodle named Bo and a female Teddy Bear named Annie. I like to walk the dogs for two 30 minute walks a day. I’m a stay at home, homeschooling mom. I have a 6 year old, 9 year old, 12 year old and 15 year old at home. Everyone loves dogs. We have a routine with the dogs and they are part of the family. I don’t have a fenced in yard but I am a firm believer that dogs need to be walked. I walk my dogs for 30 minutes in the morning and 30 minutes in the afternoon on a walking path behind my house. I keep jingle bells on my door and my dogs ring them to go outside to potty. We have a finished basement if a dog needs to be kept from another dog. I have options to separate them if necessary.

About: My own dog, Finneas, has been staying with a friend since I shipped for the Navy last year. I'm currently in Virginia awaiting my next set of full-time orders and am missing canine companionship. I have experience with socializing feral kittens, teaching violent dogs their manners, and easing pups into obedience training. I love hiking so I'm absolutely willing to take your pup on more difficult terrain if they have vigorous energy needs. My schedule is very flexible. I don't mind being up early or doing overnight duty if your schedule needs it! Occasionally I'll have military obligations but they should be reflected on my calendar. I cannot host your pups here as I live with a senior Chihuahua. However, in your home I promise to treat your space with dignity and respect as if it were mine own and to triple-check any special instructions you may leave!

“I had to be in Fredericksburg for 2 meetings so my schedule was not firm. Angel was very accommodating and so pleasant. My little Chihuahua, Abby, was very happy with her. Angel took great care with Abby. Angel is very knowledgeable about animals. I would definitely use her again.”

“Melissa was GREAT with Max! We booked her with little notice and she was very accommodating. She sent pictures of Max playing with her 2 dogs and he appeared to be having a great time. He was so wore out when he got home he had to nap before having his dinner. I would highly recommend her to other pup parents, and I will definitely be using her again. Thank you Melissa!”

About: I’ve been caring for pets since I was 5 years old, when I got my very first dachshunds—Peanut and Sweetie. By the time I was 9, I had adopted a shelter dachshund and raised two more dachshund puppies, bringing my total to five dogs at once! I personally trained all of them, which gave me a strong foundation in understanding dog behavior, especially with independent or energetic breeds like dachshunds. Throughout middle school and my teen years, I helped neighbors by dog sitting, walking, and doing drop-in visits just for playtime. One of the dogs I cared for regularly was a sweet senior named Duke, who I’d take outside and keep company while his owner was away. I learned early on how to adapt my care for both high-energy pups and older dogs who need a gentler approach. In addition to dogs, I have years of experience caring for cats—both my family’s and now my own sweet cat, Tom. I understand feline behavior, how to earn their trust, and how to make sure they feel safe, calm, and comfortable while you’re away. Whether it’s puppies, seniors, small breeds, or shy kitties, I bring patience, love, and reliable care to every visit. I treat every pet like they’re part of my own family. Pet care fits naturally into my daily life. I genuinely love spending time with animals, and I build my schedule to be available when pets need me most—whether it’s morning walks, midday check-ins, or evening playtime. I’m flexible, dependable, and happy to accommodate different routines, including weekend or last-minute needs. Caring for pets doesn’t feel like a chore to me—it’s something I truly enjoy. I prioritize each pet’s safety and comfort above all else. In your home, I follow your routines closely to ensure your pet feels secure and stress-free. I always keep a close eye on surroundings during walks, avoiding unsafe areas or triggers. I’m familiar with handling pets with anxiety, special diets, or medication needs, and I treat every space with respect—leaving it clean and exactly how I found it. Whether I’m in your home or caring for your pet during a walk, you can count on me to show up with calm energy, attentiveness, and love.

About: I have taken care of pugs to pits for almost 20 years! I have trained dogs from puppies to 5 years old. I truly have a passion for caring for animals! I also have 2 dogs of my own if you are looking for play time and socialization! I work from home and homeschool my children Monday through Friday until 5pm, so I have pretty open availability. All dogs must be good with children! I have a fenced in yard, sidewalks in my neighborhood and a dog park right down the street! My dogs are spoiled and treated as family members!

About: Hello! My husband trained K9s in the military and was a police K9 handler in a local jurisdiction here in Virginia. Once his K9 retired we adopted him for good and made him part of our family forever! We also have a small fluffy puppy that my kids adore! They play with the German Shepherd and snuggle with the Puppy. I was a police officer for nine years until I retired to enjoy my kids when they were little. I have always had a dog and have been the main care taker for them for years. I also help care for my sisters elderly boxer, he is about the most high maintenance dog we know, but we love him anyway! :) We recently went on vacation and were astonished at not only the prices for boarding our dog but really the overall lack of care for them while they were there, this inspired me to look for other pet care options and I found Rover! I am excited to help families looking for affordable pet care!

“Mariya was very friendly, sent lots of photos and videos, and my dog had a great time playing with her dog!”

Kaylyn S.
“I've known Kaylyn and her family for about 2 years now. She is the type of person you meet once in a lifetime. Every job that Kaylyn takes up she goes above and beyond in consistently. Caregiving jobs are no exception when I say this. Whether it's your baby or your fur baby, Kaylyn takes the time and makes the effort to make every living creature that enters her home feel at home. Kaylyn has experience with dogs with allergies, separation anxiety, and medically complex pups. If you are a separation anxiety type person with your dog. I would highly recommend this lovely lady as she excels in communication.”

Katie H.
“Has watched my very needy boxer many times. He gets separation anxiety, and she is one of the only people who can watch him, give him his arthritis medication, and convince him to eat when I'm away. He also loves the extra attention from her kids.”
