Thank you so much for going above and beyond in taking care of Mabel! Your informative daily notes and many adorable pictures clearly showed how much love and time you put into watching our furry girl. Honestly, she seemed a little disappointed that we weren’t you when we arrived back home!

Shannon was great! Punctual, communicative, and incredibly attentive, she exceeded my expectations. Punctuality was a highlight—every visit was on time. Communication was excellent, with regular updates and adorable pictures during each visit, showcasing genuine care. What I loved most was how she followed my instructions to a T. Professional and dedicated, she ensured every detail was followed. She's also a genuinely nice person. Polite, friendly, and you can tell she's got a soft spot for animals. My dog absolutely loved her.

I discovered I had no one to watch my to somewhat challenging dogs the night before a work event. Jake was professional, offered to have a quick meet and greet before the next day's visit, and showed up on time for both visits. I added a laundry list of concerns to my dog's profile. Luckily my dog loved Jake within 5 minutes of meeting him. So much so, that when my husband returned early and accidentally let Xara escape from the house, it was Jake my dog allowed herself to be caught by. She doesn't allow anyone but her besties to get near her when she is loose.

About: Hi! My name is Rosie and I have been caring for pets for friends, neighbors, and families for many years. I have experience with dogs of all sizes, ages, and personalities. I’m comfortable with feeding, walks, playtime, overnight stays, and giving pets the attention and care they deserve while their owners are away. Outside of pet sitting, I have years of babysitting experience, a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Seton Hall University, and I am currently in nursing school. My background has taught me responsibility, patience, and attention to detail. I’m dependable, caring, and will treat your pets like they are my own. I’m happy to provide updates and photos so you feel comfortable while away! I am currently available all summer with a very flexible schedule and would love to help care for your pets while you’re away on vacations, working long hours, or just need an extra helping hand. I am available for drop-ins, walks, and overnight stays, and I’m happy to follow your pet’s normal routine including feeding times, walks, playtime, medications, and plenty of love and attention. I will be starting nursing school again in September, so my availability may change slightly, but I will always communicate ahead of time and do my best to continue providing reliable, consistent care. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pets and your home. I will always treat your pets like they are my own by making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I am respectful of every owner’s home and will follow all instructions, routines, feeding schedules, and special requests to provide the best care possible.

Frida was great! She watched our cats for over a week, they tend to be shy but warmed up to her and let her pet and play with them by the end. We appreciated the updates and photos she shared as well :)

About: I’m a lifelong animal lover with extensive hands-on experience caring for dogs and cats of all breeds, sizes, and ages. I currently have three dogs and a cat of my own, and I’ve been caring for my cat since I was 8 years old. I began dog sitting over 6 years ago and have provided reliable, loving care for everything from high-energy puppies to senior pets who need extra patience and support. The services I offer include overnight sitting in your home, drop-in visits throughout the day, and dog walking. I’ve volunteered with Bridgewater Animal Shelter and Tabby’s Place: A Cat Sanctuary, where I worked closely with animals of varying temperaments, including shy, anxious, and special-needs pets. I’m comfortable with puppies, kittens, elderly animals, multi-pet households, and maintaining routines that help pets feel safe and secure. I’m currently in school to become a mental health counselor and have studied animal-assisted therapy, which helps me read animal body language, reduce stress, and provide calm, attentive care. Your pet’s comfort, safety, and happiness are always my top priority. I can guarantee that I will treat your pet as if they were my own—with patience, love, and respect. I’m currently working part-time so I have a lot of time to do drop ins/walks/etc. I also do not work nights ever so I am available to stay overnight whatever day of the week. MWF I work at a school from 8:30-3:00 and I have classes for my graduate school some days as well. However, the times of the classes would not interfere with my ability to stop by. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out! I have a fenced in yard that is pretty large. There is plenty of room for pets to run around and play. I also have three of my own dogs who are all animal-friendly and love to play! If needed though, they can be separated from your dog or cat because I have gates that can go up to separate them from the upstairs/living room. I also have lots of dog beds and toys and an extra large crate that can be used if needed. I am willing to adapt to whatever your pet needs and also have experience administering medication. Again, let me know if you have any specific questions!

FAQs for Drop-In Visits - Centerville

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of July 2026, there are 2,201 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Centerville. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Centerville. On Rover:

  • 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
