“Grace was amazing! She communicated with us and sent pictures during our time away. Our dogs were very well cared for and were exhausted when we arrived home. Would 100% use Grace again! First Rover user and I couldn’t have been more impressed with everything!”

“Sarah was communicative, flexible and personable. Our dogs took to her immediately and Sarah was able to watch them at our B&B for an extended period of time. Sarah sent pictures, kept us informed throughout the evening and prepared the dogs for our return!”

“Morgan is GREAT!!! My dog Lena is old, uses pads...usually (I mean, it can be a timing thing)...and uses them often. Morgan was so kind to her - changing the pads lots, trying different foods out when she was picky..and letting me relax while away as I could see Lena was with someone kind. I'll totally use her again and for longer trips! :-) I definitely recommend her. She left everything super clean and organized by the way (BONUS!!). YAY MORGAN!!!”

About: I’ve taken care of various dog and cat breeds to help out friends and family for years. I’ve had to follow specific instructions based on behavior and/or medical needs of the animal. I’ve been relied on for potty breaks, meal times, and a little activity. I work full time, however, I’m available for afternoon walks/care during the week. On weekends, I have flexibility with my schedule to include play dates, feedings, etc. I have a small indoor space to enjoy, as well as, a BIG unfenced yard. I prefer to use a leash when outdoors at all times unless I brought them to a fenced in area or are known to stay close to home.
“We have always had family or close friends take care of our three precious Shih Tzus (Cocoa 17, Winnie 8 and Tobi 2) so finding a professional dog sitter was a little scary at first. I made contact with Liz (through Rover) and we set up a meet and greet at our home so we could all get to know eachother and decide if the arrangement would be a good fit. Liz introduced herself, told us about her background and experience taking care of different breeds of dogs/animals. I was very impressed with her knowledge and how genuinely sweet she was to our little babies. She ended up spending a couple hours at our house which was nice, mostly getting to know each of our dogs and their very unique personalities lol. We also spent time going over everything from likes, dislikes, playtime, bedtime routines and most importantly mealtime/feeding routines. Liz was there at dinner time so we were able to over the measurements and all of the different types of food we use (it can be confusing at times). We gave her a tour of the house, outside yards and she asked all the right questions that I didnt even think about asking (being new to this and all). I felt very at ease after she left and confident we made the right decision hiring her. While away, Liz sent us updates, pictures and communicated any questions she had. All three of our dogs were so happy, well fed, exercised and most importantly LOVED while Mom and Dad were away. On the day Liz left she made sure the dog's morning routines were all completed, she gave them some extra love, left the house spotless and even started the dishwasher. We highly recommend Liz and hopefully she will have availability the next time we are in need!!!! Thank you🥰”

“I had to go out of town for a few days and needed a boarding kennel for my 70lb lab. My kennel that I have used previously closed down operations so I needed to find someplace new. I couldn't find any place I liked so I started searching online for someone to care for my dog at their home. That is how I discovered Rover. I found Charles on Rover and rather than keeping my dog at his home he offered to come stay at my home. Which for me was the best possible outcome. It worked out great. Charles was very respectful of my home and my dog liked him. If I have to board my dog again, Charles will be my first choice. I highly recommend him.”

About: I’ve been around dogs my entire life and have experience providing overnight pet and house sitting for stays ranging from a week to 10 days at a time. I’ve also helped family and friends with basic dog training and behavior support. As a lifelong animal lover, I genuinely enjoy the companionship dogs bring and love keeping them active, engaged, and happy through walks, outdoor adventures, hikes, playtime, and plenty of affection. My goal is always to make pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while their owners are away. As a small business owner with a flexible schedule and a few part-time commitments, I have plenty of time to dedicate to caring for your pets. I’m available for dog walks, drop-in visits, cat care, feeding, and house sitting, and I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals. While I occasionally need to step away for client appointments, I am typically gone for no more than 4–5 hours at a time and always make sure pets receive timely meals, potty breaks, exercise, and attention. I appreciate advance notice whenever possible so I can plan accordingly, though I may be able to accommodate same-day requests depending on availability. When caring for pets, I like to take time to get to know each animal and build trust at their own pace. I believe every pet has a unique personality, so I try to follow their lead and create a calm, comfortable environment where they feel safe and secure. Depending on the pet’s needs and temperament, I provide enrichment through playtime, walks, outdoor time, and plenty of affection. Whether a pet is energetic and social or more reserved and independent, my goal is always the same: to ensure they feel cared for, content, and as comfortable as possible while their owner is away.
About: Starting at 15, I began petsitting for families in my neighborhood and continued until I moved away after college. During college, I was employed at PetSmart as a bather, so I am well trained in basic nail trims, sanitary trims, and expressing anal glands. I have worked as a veterinary technician for the past 3.5 years. Because of this professional training, I am able to administer medications that your pet may need as well as provide attention to important behaviors. I have full availability during the week and weekends for drop in visits and walks as well as overnight stays in your home. I cannot do boarding in my home as I have my own animals to care for at home. I provide optimal comfort and exercise for your pet along with regulating their meals and medications (if necessary). I am also able to provide light grooming and nail trimming for dogs and cats.
“Sue was communicative and it was obvious that our pup was well cared for in our absence. She left our home in great condition as well. We very much appreciate her calm presence, particularly with our anxious doodle. We would definitely book with Sue again in the future.”

“Danny was awesome with our German Shepherd mix rescue pup! She can be timid around new people and she warned up to him very quickly! He was responsive and sent photos and updates! We’ll be using him as a sitter again soon!”

About: I have cared for all types of dogs big and small, and have lived, trained, and babysat dogs since i was little! I love animals, and currently have a flexible schedule to be able to care for yours. I treat them as if they are my own, and will love them with every ounce i have! I will show up in any weather, and have no problems giving medication. I have no fears of any size dog, and am usually the one found with the dog rather than people at any gathering ha! I am super careful, super thorough, and very reliable. I currently do work, but with my schedule I have a lot of time available during the day and afternoons, some nights. I am lucky in that my schedule is flexible, and can do daily visits, walks, short/long term, and potentially overnights. I am able to do overnights with your dog at my house, or happy to come to you as well. I have a big fenced in yard, and live across the street from a giant beautiful park with trails and fields to play in. I have friends who live on my street who, if ever needed, are beyond trust worthy if your pup ever needs anything. My boss also lives next door! I also live right near two other parks, and beaches. I am in a quiet neighborhood that is perfect for walks as well. I grew up with dogs my whole life, so my parents are also near by. Im also close to two animal hospitals
About: I am a current student in Medical School who has been dog sitting since high school. I have provided care for dogs and cats for various families on overnight trips. Over the past two years I provided care on and off for a household with two dogs, chickens, pigs, and gardens. I have worked in medicine and volunteered with the elderly over the past two years. I am available weekends and love to get outside (ideally with a dog). On weekdays I am happy to work around my class schedule to make sure your dog has plenty of care and time outside! I live in an apartment but have grass area outside. I also love taking dogs for walks or hikes. I am happy to take care of clients households as well, keeping the area clean, animals fed and walked, and plants watered.
About: Hello! My name is Alexandra and I would love to take care of your pup. I have grown up with boxers my entire life and constantly dog sat other pups as well. Having someone care for your pet is personal and I understand that. I am a true dog lover and love going for walks and playing outside (although I may give too many cookies)! In the summer I also love taking pups swimming if that’s what they like to do! I look forward to helping you and your pet get the care and service that you need. My schedule is flexible and I am generally available in the Derry and Concord areas. Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions. I look forward to meeting your pets! I care for your dog the same way I care for my own. I am kind but can also be stern, if necessary. Although I am not a trainer I will use consistent key words with your pup to achieve a most efficient and safe visit. I currently work full-time. Therefore, I am mostly available early mornings and late afternoon/evenings during the week. I am most available on weekends. Depending on location I can stop in and go for walks midday as well. We have enough space to play inside but I also love going for walks. I have a small fenced in yard but am more likely to take your pup to the park or a walk on a nearby trail.
“Another fantastic experience with Michele! She is so caring and super communicative when she is spending time with Bob. I love that she keeps him moving and grooving, whether they’re going out for a walk or playing chase around our home. I feel 100% at ease leaving Bob in Michele’s care.”

“Teri took wonderful care of Sidney and Bea. They had walks every day. Teri has a great sense of humor and took Bea’s shenanigans with a grain of salt. She sent pictures every day. I could tell how happy they were with her.”

“We couldn’t be more grateful for the amazing care Trie provided for our 13-year-old Maltipoo. He has a tough time with separation anxiety and often struggles with eating when we're away, but Trie was absolutely incredible with him. She stayed by his side, took him on several walks a day, and knew exactly how to encourage him to eat. Trie sent us frequent updates and lots of photos, which gave us so much peace of mind. For the first time, we were able to truly relax on vacation knowing our fur baby was in such loving hands. She is incredibly sweet, gentle, kind, and attentive — exactly the kind of person you’d hope to find to care for your pet. We’ll definitely be booking with her again for any future travel!”

About: I have been taking care of animals for as long as I can remember. My home life has always included at least two pets at a time. I currently have a Great Dane and black lab as well as two cats. I am capable of any task with any animal of any breed. My hobbies—such as horseback riding—include animal care. My number one priority is the client and the pets. Currently, I am a college student currently on my summer break. With no classes until fall semester, I have plenty of time to take care of your fur babies! Unfortunately, I am not able to host your animals in my home. However, in a client’s home I will be sure to take care of the pets in whatever means they desire. I will make sure to respect the boundaries of your home and privacy all while ensuring your pet(s) are walked, fed, cared for, and played with plenty!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Center Harbor walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Center Harbor maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Center Harbor choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Center Harbor. On Rover:
- 100% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 90% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
