“Omg!! Margaret was heaven sent! Our cousin didn’t answer his door to get our pup just 4 1/2 short hours before our flight boarded out of Stl. I ran to Rover and begged for a last minute board. Margaret graciously accepted Teddy into her home and took such good care of him. She was very communicative and kept me informed of how he was doing over this 3 day stay. Our flights were delayed by over 12 hours she was very flexible and allowed him to stay an extra day with no problem. If you are seeking a communicative, kind, nurturing and flexible board, I 10/10 recommend her!”

“My doggie had the BEST time! They texted, sent pictures, and kept me updated! They were so chill and just absolutely amazing! Seriously won’t leave my pup with anyone else!”

“I had to find a dog sitter last minute when our care fell through and I felt comfortable leaving g Zoey with Catlyn after our first conversation! I got updates when I asked, she made sure Zoey was comfortable and happy. Will definitely use Catlyn again!”

“Laura & her family have made leaving Lucy so much easier! I think she would move in with them and be as happy as she is at home! Laura has been incredibly professional and so kind- sending me photos, updates and is always responsive. She is a gem and I’m so lucky she was referred to me.”

“Have had dog sitters all over the country. I have never been more comfortable than bringing out dogs to her..it's like a vacation for the dogs and stress free for us.. she is awesome, her setup is perfect.”

“Where do I begin with this 5-star review of Kelly C??? This was Champ's 3rd visit with Kelly and her husband and we already knew our pup was in the best of hands! We felt very secure in leaving him with Kelly and her pack for a longer stay as we were traveling overseas. Well, thankfully he was in such trusted hands, because a few days into our trip, Champ, a German shepherd, developed bloat (GDV) which is life threatening and requiring emergency surgery. Sadly, this is all too common in larger breeds like Shepherds. Thanks to Kelly's and her husband's quick action (and with constant communication with us in a different time zone), Champ arrived at the emergency clinic in time, was immediately rushed into surgery, and the amazing specialists at University of Missouri Veterinary Health Center in Columbia treated him successfully. Post surgery, Kelly and her husband took wonderful care of him in his recovery until we could return from our trip to a happy and healthy dog. Needless to say, we are incredibly thankful to have found Kelly and her family and can't say enough about how grateful we are to them! If we could give more than 5 stars, they would be difficult to count!”

“Our 8 month old puppy Ollie stayed with Morgan while we were out of town for 5 days. It was Ollie's first time boarding somewhere and we could not have chosen anyone better! Morgan sent us multiple photos while we were gone and asked us questions when needed. Her little dog Finn was the cutest and is super easy going and friendly. We were so glad we chose Morgan and Finn, and will definitely choose them again if we need to board Ollie in the future.”

“This is the second time Luna has stayed with Macee. I can't give enough positive about Macee's care and treatment of Luna. Luna becomes part of Macee's home and activities. Macee follows routines and any special care with a few added pluses as she sees helpful. When I need someone to watch Luna, Macee is where I will go. I also know Luna would second this review.”

“Nicole is amazing—she’s incredibly kind and gentle. During our greeting before the first overnight stay, she gave both dogs plenty of time to get to know each other. Nicole has trained Cora very well, and at the first meeting she carefully observed the interaction between the dogs and rewarded them appropriately. She’s a Rover with a lot of experience in dog training. She also shared lots of photos with me!”

“Natalie is great!!! She consistently sent pictures and updates of my dog and it looked like my dog was having the best time. It really seemed like Natalie was caring for my dog like she would one of hers :) Highly recommend! I can’t imagine leaving my dog with anyone else.”

“Megan was the absolute best! She was SUPER friendly and gave us updates. She is definitely a person you can leave your dog with and know that they are in great hands! Definitely will go back.”

“Donna was very helpful with my last minute request. She had time to invite me over so Kushito can meet her pack before the stay. She kept me updated with videos and pictures of him! She has an amazing outdoor space. He was very happy when I picked him up and I could tell he had a lot of fun during his stay!”

“we are so thankful to Kaila for agreeing to watch our pups at the last minute, and on a holiday too! She took great care of them, sent pictures and updates, and was very easy to get a hold of if we needed anything!”

With my weekday afternoons available and weekends open, I am able to offer flexible pet care designed to fit smoothly into your daily and weekly plans. I prioritize pets' comfort and well-being. About: Growing up on a 2,500-acre farm, I’ve spent my entire life caring for animals—but dogs have always held a special place in my heart. I’ve never known life without one! I was raised with Golden Retrievers, Labradors, English Bulldogs, Yorkies, and Weimaraners and have experience caring for many other breeds, including German Shepherds, Great Pyrenees, Yorkies, Corgis, Great Danes, and Border Collies. As a certified dog trainer, I understand that every dog has a unique personality, routine, and set of needs. I treat every dog in my care like one of my own, providing plenty of love, attention, structure, playtime, and individualized care. Your dog’s comfort, happiness, and safety will always be my top priorities. I look forward to meeting you and welcoming your dog into my home as part of the family! I’m self-employed and work from home full-time, which allows me to be present with the dogs throughout the day. I’m available to provide frequent potty breaks, supervised playtime, enrichment, and plenty of individual attention. Because my schedule is flexible, I can also follow your dog’s normal feeding, medication, exercise, and rest routine as closely as possible. Safety, structure, and comfort are my top priorities. I have a fully fenced yard for supervised outdoor play and a climate-controlled indoor dog space with heating, air conditioning, and padded flooring for hot, cold, or rainy days. Dogs are carefully introduced, monitored during play, fed separately, and given scheduled breaks to prevent overstimulation. Overnight, each visiting dog sleeps safely in their own crate. I always follow the owner’s instructions and tailor care to each dog’s individual personality and needs. I am also certified by the American Red Cross in Pet First Aid & CPR.

About: I think that life is about being happy and animals of all shapes and sizes make me happy! I have had multiple pets all of my life, from bearded dragons and snails to cats and dogs but now I have settled with my older toy rat terrier pup and my fat orange cat! I was able to achieve my pet first aid certification through the American Red Cross but it since expired (they are valid for one year) but I thought it was worth mentioning that I have been trained. I work in Columbia M-F but live in Holts Summit, MO. I am willing to work in Columbia, Jefferson City or Holts Summit. I’m working full time but can do check-ins/walks during my lunch break, before 8am or after 5pm on weekdays. Weekends are much more flexible as I don’t work on Saturdays or Sundays. I am comfortable with crate training and of course fenced in yards are great! I have no issues with walking pups on a leash. I live in Holts Summit where we have a leash law so leash and a decent harness would be required for stays with me. I have a huge yard to walk them around in!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Cedron home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Cedron.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Cedron sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MO ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
