“Summer watched our tripod Husky while we were out of the country. She was communicating with us throughout the stay. She did a few extras and visited our cats and brought the trash to the street for us. I would have Summer watch our pets again!”

“Nicole was able to accommodate our last minute request when our previous arrangements fell through. She is friendly and knowledgeable with pets. She provided updates and sent us pictures of the fur babies. We will be having her watch our crew again for sure!”

I'm available in the evenings & overnights on my days off, and every other weekend for all your pet care needs! (yes i can do VERY late check ins!) If you need pet care early morning or late afternoon I can potentially make that work too! I have a friendly senior dog to keep your dog company if they visit my home, and a dog play room with LOTS of toys. I also have a large crate for your dog to use if necessary. I've been a dog mom for 9 years so we have everything here that your pup could ever need! I will also come perpared with anything your dog may need for my visit -leash, bags, treats, water, bowl, ect! I will treat your house with respect and care for your pets like my own. “We came home to happy dogs and a clean house! Sierra sent daily updates and pictures, which makes it so much easier to leave my dogs to travel. We will definitely have Sierra again, it’s so great to have someone we can rely on and trust.”

“The trio was very happy when we got home they loved their walk which we weren't expecting them to get because our 3 are a lot. We love them but know they are a lot so we were very happy for the walk”

About: I've had many animals throughout my life, 7 dogs, 9 cats, and small mammals. I mostly have experience with Australian Shepherds and German Shepherds. At the moment I have two small dogs and a young cat, who all get along together very well! I love animals and I pay very close attention to them to make sure their needs are met and they're happy. I'm not the type of person to just quickly check-in on a dog and let them outside- I play with them, give them attention, exercise them. I work part time and random hours, so I wake up early to let my dogs out, then feed them at 8 and again at 4. One of my dogs is hyperactive and guards her food so each of her meals is a training session. I usually make her walk on the treadmill for 10 minutes and follow various commands while I hand-feed her meals. My animals are never alone for more than 4 hours at a time, so they get to go out many times. I don't have a fenced in yard so they are always on a leash. All of my animals are friendly towards other dogs, cautious with cats. My apartment is somewhat small, so I would prefer to work in a client's home. In that situation I would stop in as many times as the client prefers. I take my time to play with the animals under my care and give them attention. I do my best to make sure they never feel lonely.
“Camryn was absolutely wonderful! She was able to meet and exceed all our expectations! Our pups absolutely loved her and she took the best care of them! We will definitely be asking Camryn to watch our girls again.”

About: Hi there!! I’m Cate, and I’m a college student looking to make a little extra money over the summer. I’ve had pets ever since I was little, and I absolutely love helping people and taking care of dogs and cats (especially cats). Feel free to message me for more details!! 🤍🤍 I currently work a part time job and am a student at Bloomsburg University, but my hours are flexible. I am currently studying English and political science. I live on campus. My dogs stay within a fence in my backyard when outside and my cat only goes outside when there is someone else out there with her, or within an enclosed porch. My dogs and cats both have flea collars as well and are regularly bathed, walked, played with, and taken care of!

About: I've been caring for pets my entire life, both my own and other people's! My care experience includes dogs, cats, small reptiles, and small birds, all varying in age and specific needs. I also have experience volunteering at animal shelters and interning at a reptile zoo. I love every animal I encounter, and would be thrilled at the opportunity to watch yours! I'm available to tailor my schedule to fit the needs of you and your furry friend(s)! Depending on the type of care needed, we'll discuss and build a dually beneficial schedule! My biggest priority is ensuring the comfort and safety of the pets I care for. I recognize that I'm an unfamiliar person stepping onto their turf, so tailoring my energy to align with your pet's personality and learning their needs/boundaries is my first step!

“Madison did excellent watching our house and pets. She ensured that all their needs were met and the house was very well cared for. The dogs were very happy and tired when we got home. Would recommend Madison to anyone!”

“Bailey helped us take care of Stella for 3 days and 3 nights. Bailey was excellent and professional and sent pictures to keep us updated. Bailey stayed at our house so our dog Stella was comfortable in her own home. She went above and beyond and we would definitely use her for future help! Thanks Bailey!”

“Syd was absolutely wonderful. We’ve had some rocky experiences in the past with pet sitters but Syd put us right at ease. She was truly a magical human and our animals and home were well taken care of. Absolutely recommend for others and will definitely re-book in the future. Thank you Syd!!”

“I cannot recommend Blythe enough! She stayed at my home to watch my high-energy dog, and she handled him like an absolute pro. He can be a handful, but Blythe kept him exercised, entertained, and totally comfortable the entire time. She sent regular updates and photos, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. I came home to a happy and tired pup! If you’re looking for someone trustworthy, responsible, and genuinely caring—book Blythe. She went above and beyond, and I’m so grateful to have found her!”

About: Hi! I'm a dependable and caring animal lover with a flexible schedule and a passion for helping both pets and their owners. While I'm new to Rover, I'm no stranger to caring for animals. I'm a proud dog owner and have two cats, so I understand the importance of providing pets with love, attention, and a consistent routine. As a parent of young children involved in sports, I'm active, organized, and used to managing busy schedules. My flexibility allows me to accommodate a variety of pet care needs, whether that's walks, drop-in visits, or keeping your pet company while you're away. I know every pet has a unique personality, and I'll take the time to make sure they feel comfortable, safe, and cared for. You can count on me to treat your furry family members as if they were my own. I look forward to meeting you and your pets! I currently work from home and live right in town. This gives me great flexibility in my day to meet your needs as well as a close travel distance. I believe every pet deserves to feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their family is away. I take the time to learn each pet's routine, including feeding schedules, potty breaks, exercise needs, medications (if applicable), and any special instructions provided by the owner.
“This is a five star human being!!! my travels required me to leave before Dani was to arrive. There was some minor chaos when she arrived being a new venue and canine companion. Because I was traveling by air, I did not get to speak to her until after the fact… when we finally connected, she explained in full detail everything that transpired and that it had been handled and her and Rocky were enjoying a TV program!!! Dani is an extremely responsible, capable friend, friendly assistant! Rocky has already put in a request for her return !!!! Our home was in better organization than when I left!! Extremely awesome experience!!!”

As of August 2026, there are 140 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Catawissa. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Catawissa walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Catawissa maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Catawissa choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
