“Janet was beyond amazing! She was very understanding and we were very comfortable leaving our babies with her. Our old timer recently got sick and was prescribed a cocktail of medication 4 days before our reservation. Janet was still very excited to spend time with her and make sure she is relaxed and not lonely. Knowing our little Killer was in caring and trusting hands put us at ease leaving her. Janet communicated with us each day and sent pictures of our fur babies. Because Janet was so pawsome, we were able to enjoy our vacation without worrying! About: My mom had rescue dogs and cats my entire childhood, and I always helped care for them as her oldest daughter. My mom adopted dogs big and small - as big as a golden retriever, and as little as a chihuahua, and often cared for multiple cats at a time. I grew up in California, where my family pets live with my parents - three dogs and two cats. My cat Momo moved to Eau Claire with me. My parents are planning to retire here, which will be a big move, especially with so many animals, so when the time comes, I’ll be helping move their pets. After living in Eau Claire for a month or so, I house and pet sat for my cousin while she was working on a project out of town for a few months. I bonded with her German Shepherd, Lobo, through long walks and runs, and fell in love with her tiny cat Duchess. Later that winter, while I was still doing the long-term pet sit for my cousin, one of her friend’s rescued a cat who had been abandoned. Due to her living situation, she couldn’t take it in immediately, so Lobo and Duchess had Zia as a guest living with us for a month or so. Beyond helping out my family, I have friends whose animals I help care for on occasion too. One friend reaches out when she needs to go out of town, and I will do check ups or come stay with her needy and sweet cat-named-Kitty. Another friend and I meet up to walk downtown with her cutie little dog Lotta. I record all my walks and runs on Strava, and enjoy posting photos and videos of my furry companions, so if I walk with your pup, I would be happy to share photos if you ask! Last summer, I looked after my co-worker’s chickens and garden for a 3-day weekend, so I’m open to learning how to care for other pets beyond cats and dogs too! I work part-time at the flower shop and my schedule varies week to week based on their need, but I have lots of free time between weekdays and the weekend - I always have a free Sunday. I can easily arrange my schedule to allow for plenty of time between walks, play time, or check ups with animals. I will be brand new to Rover and open to meeting pets’ needs and routines as their human typically would! Right now, beyond my cat Momo, the only other animals I care for are my cousin’s dog and cat when she’s traveling and needs me to fill in, and I care for them as she would - from feeding routines to play time, walks, and cleaning.

About: They say to do what you love and make a career out of it. I’m just grateful my career gets to be with dogs. I currently work at a doggy daycare/boarding facility in the area, so I am certified with dog and cat behaviors and have seen the ups and downs of our fur babies, and I am still standing here happy to tell you all about their stay/session. I have also grown up with working farm dogs and have gone on to own a Great Pyrenees who isn’t quite a working dog but sure does “work” like one. Thank you for reading through my short history and I am super excited to update this with my accomplishments to come! Pet care for me starts at dawn lol My pups come for cuddles and a potty break first sight of my eyes opening. Most of the time this does align with my schedule in the 6 am timeframe. Our family does always thankfully have one person home at all times, so while kennels are still utilized in our home for various situations, your pups can expect to stay in a home environment while here :) While I personally do not have a yard, my family does own large pasture fields and hills that we will typically walk daily. These colder seasons do affect how often we go out due to the snow and unplowed hills. However in that safe weather we make it a main priority to keep active with our pups to maintain a healthy and long life for them. Safety is priority number one. Thankfully my family is pretty much set up for success here. We are knowledgeable for food, behavior, and play safety with dogs and cats. Signs and symptoms of common issues with dogs and cats, based off personal experiences, and possible fears of what ifs, urinary cat blockages and bloat, or bloody stools. And while I understand dog body language and know how to avoid those tense situations dogs can create, I am incredibly quick to say when we are going to the emergency vet, gosh forbid.

About: Hello! Im Andrea. I Love animals of all kinds, shapes and sizes. Ive had pets my entire life cats, dogs reptiles, amphibians, small mammals. I have always been around animals and was taught from a young age that animals are an important part of our world and good for your soul. Id be happy to spend some time with your furry family member while you are away for a couple days or just need someone to check in on them while you're at work. I love going for long walks and would be delighted to take your best friend with me! I have to admit I have a soft spot for the bigger guys but definitely don't mind the tiny pooches. Hope to meet your fur baby soon! I love walking, going to the dog park and being outside. I try to make this part of my daily routine for my own dog and wouldn't mind adding a few more companions to the adventure. I currently work evenings but dont mind late night walks after work. I realize everyone has their own routine for their fur baby so I'll stick to that as closely as possible. I genuinely love animals and enjoy spending time with them.

About: I have several years of experience caring for dogs of all ages, from energetic puppies to sweet seniors. Ive dealt with multiple dogs at once, all with different personalities. From shy, energetic, to reactive. I have done everything from daily walks, to overnight stays for clients. Handling the different routines. Another plus is that I grew up fostering dogs, so I have experience with a lot of different breeds creating a very patient and observant demeanor. I am currently working part-time and looking for some extra work. My availability is pretty flexible as long as you are as well! I can either do stop by's for walks once a day, or a multiple day care schedule, with 2-4 hours of being out of the house. I'd love to chat and work something out! When I’m caring for pets in their own home, I focus on keeping their routine as normal and stress-free as possible. I follow your instructions closely — feeding schedules, walk times, medications, crate routines, and any house rules. I always make sure pets have fresh water, plenty of bathroom breaks, and safe, supervised time outside. I spend quality time with each pet, whether that means playing, training practice, gentle cuddles, or just giving them company so they don’t feel alone. It is all about respect and I respect your home also respect your home, treating your space the same way I’d want mine treated.

About: I love all animals! I have grown up having dogs and cats. I have a friendly Samoyed named Aurora. I used to work at petco in the grooming salon doing baths, clipping nails, and brushing. I would love going on a walk with your pet and take them to a park to throw a ball or a frisbee. I enjoy being outdoors so it would be fun to play with your pet! I can also take care of your cat and clip nails if I notice them to be long! I am available on weekends and during the day for walking. It would be a pleasure to be able to care for your pet so you can run errands or get out of town. I will care for them as if they were my own It’s fits in during the weekends because I am off and I know that people are wanting to go away for the weekend so I would be more than happy to take care of their animal I love taking dogs on walks and would make sure that anytime they are sniffing something that they aren’t sniffing anything bad that they could get into.
