“Rosie had a blast with Finn & Monika’s family! This was a last minute emergency booking (death in family), but it certainly will not be our last! Monika was very professional and welcomed our girl, who sometimes can be nervous around new people. We are so happy to have found you!!”

“Lenny is very accommodating and caring! I am very grateful to have found her for Oreo. Oreo is now 15 yrs old and gets anxious, but Lenny has made her feel safe and comfortable! I highly recommend her and rely on her for Oreo!”

“Max was a life saver. I booked him the day before and he accepted. He took really good care of my golden lab puppy. He took him to a dog park, walks and sent me pictures. I totally recommend Max to take care of your puppy.”

About: I've taken care of dogs of every kind since I was 14. Neighbors, friends and family have relied on me to walk, feed and bathe their pets... I’m currently working part time, so I have plenty of time to play with your pups. I’m available for boarding and walking on weekends, and weekdays When I need to go out my daughter and my husband help me to walk and take care with pets. I have a huge fenced yard with lake and duck view, so your baby will have fun! I like to play with the dogs and cats!
“Gabriella is wonderful. When I was returning with Benji to the car, he turned around and let me know that he wanted to go back in. That is the best endorsement that a dog can give, and it is all about him. I would leave my pet with her anytime.”

“Brian was fantastic he had an amazing atmosphere and house for our puppy to play all day and feel safe. I would definitely recommend him! Our 8 month old hound puppy and him got along great!”

About: My friends, family and neighbors have always looked to me when needing someone trustworthy and reliable to stop by and watch their furbaby. I truly am an animal lover, having experience with all different kinds of pets such as dogs, cats, rodents and exotics! Age is not a problem for me, I actually currently have a 17 year old cat amongst other pets! I am very experienced and able to provide age appropriate care whether that would be for your puppies, kittens, or senior pets. I also have personal experience providing for disabled cats and would love to aid in any way I can! As a student, I have plenty of time to dedicate to pet care! I am able to provide dog-walking services or drop in visits for any pet between the hours of 6am to 3pm Everyday of the week excluding Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays for my classes. My pets are my world and so my home is filled with a variety of toys, treats, and even more for all kinds of pets. On drop in visits, I like to go above and beyond by bringing some gifts like treats or toys to surprise my new friend and help build the relationship, however I’ll always make sure run these over with you first! I currently live in a apartment across the street from a beautiful park with my friendly cats! The space is rather large with extra room I can use for boarding, if you would like your for your pet to be kept separate or crated, as well. Although, I don’t mind making them feel like we’re just having a sleepover either!
About: ⚠If you're new to Rover use my Promo code "XAVIEM67281" to get a 💲20 discount off the first service you use with me. ⚠ I have been taking care of pets for as long as I can remember. Not a day goes by that I'm not taking care of the family pets or someone else's. I have walked, checked on, and baby sat dogs of all different shapes and sizes. I use to take care of my neighbors dogs, when she wasn't available. Took dogs to the vet when they had no one else to do it. And I have been a dog walker for about 5 years now. I have walked small dogs such as miniature poodles to bigger dogs such as pitbulls. Your furry friend will be in good hands. I'm currently working part time on Mondays through Fridays, but I have a flexible schedule. I'll feed and take the dog out in the mornings, and after work. During the weekend they'll have my fully undevivded attention through out the whole day I have a fenced in yard with several friendly dogs who will happily play with visitors. I also have some cats but they keep to themselves, lounging around in a separate room from the dogs. Your pets will mostly be under my watchful eye, for I will be home, most of the day watching them. “We had a great experience with Somya! We were coming for an event from out of state, so we were nervous about not knowing the lay of the land and how everything would work out, but Somya made it easy with great communication! Our dog was also in a strange place and had just been on on 3 hour car journey, and when we received him back at the end of the drop-in, he was well balanced and happy. Thanks so much Sonmya!”

About: We’ve had dogs our entire lives and currently share our home with an Australian Shepherd, so we’re very familiar with active dogs and consistent routines. We’ve also fostered dogs, giving us experience helping pets feel comfortable in new environments and working with different personalities. We treat every dog like our own and focus on making them feel safe, happy, and cared for while you’re away. Pet care fits easily into our routine since we both work from home and are around throughout the day. Pets receive regular potty breaks, playtime, walks, and lots of attention in a calm family environment. With two adults home, we’re able to provide consistent supervision, companionship, and care while keeping pets comfortable and on their normal routines. Because we have two young children, we only accept dogs that are friendly with kids and other dogs. Dogs stay with us as part of our daily family routine and receive regular potty breaks, playtime, walks, and lots of attention throughout the day since we both work from home. We also have a fully fenced yard for safe outdoor time and exercise. Our goal is to provide a comfortable, supervised home environment where dogs feel relaxed and cared for.
“It was our first time using Rover, so we were a bit nervous at first, but that quickly changed once we met Evgenii. Our dog seemed to become friends with him right away! He kept us updated throughout the stay, which gave us great peace of mind. We would absolutely book with Evgenii again whenever we are in the neighborhood.”

“Darya provided daycare for Watson for a week. Watson, who can sometimes have separation anxiety, was excited to see Darya every morning. Their dog Coco is a very nice dog and I was happy Watson would have a friend.”

“Debi and her husband were really great with Aria! We felt comfortable that our puppy was in good hands! I will definitely recommend her! Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Carrs Corner commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NJ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
