About: As an experienced dog sitter, I go beyond basic care by truly understanding each dog’s unique personality and needs. I have a natural ability to read their body language and adapt to their moods, ensuring they feel comfortable, happy, and secure while you’re away. Whether it’s administering medications, following specific dietary plans, or providing enriching playtime and walks, I tailor my approach to each dog’s routine. My calm and attentive demeanor helps even the most anxious dogs feel at ease, and I maintain clear communication with pet owners for peace of mind. Having cared for my own senior Pomeranian, Zeus, until he was 14, I am particularly attuned to the special needs of older dogs, including administering medications and adjusting routines for their comfort. I currently have an year and a half year old Yellow Labrador Retriever named cooper, so well experienced with puppies I’m currently home full-time, so I have a very flexible schedule and can give your pets lots of attention throughout the day. Whether your dog needs frequent potty breaks, long walks, playtime, feeding schedules, medication, or just extra cuddles and companionship, I’m able to be there consistently. I love getting outside for walks and making sure dogs stay mentally and physically happy while you’re away. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I treat every animal like they’re my own and take the time to learn their routine, personality, and needs. I’m experienced with dogs of different ages, energy levels, and temperaments, including senior dogs and puppies. I always keep a close eye during walks, potty breaks, feeding, and playtime to make sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for in a calm environment.

About: I've taken care of many of my friends pets, dogs and cats when they are away. I absolutely love doing it! Pets are part of the family! I am currently working part time doing instacart so I am on the road and can stop whenever I need to let them out or take them on a walk. I am also starting school this summer so I will be available after classes as well. I usually stay over at my friend's house whenever they are gone to watch their fur babies. Rebecca was great! I asked for her help with dog walking since I work at home I don’t have all the time to dedicate. Not only did she walk them but she also work with my dogs on some training. I felt like she really knew what she was doing. She gave me a lot of photos and videos so I felt super secure about what happened during the walk. She also provided me with an update on how to walk went.

About: I grew up in a large family with many pets. We had five dogs and two cats growing up, and I have had my own pets since. I’ve had multiple dogs and cats over the years, though I just moved back to Washington, so I have no pets at the moment. I currently have open availability and am able to provide visits or stay over at clients homes to care for pets. I’m able to arrange arrival and departure to fit your schedule. I am able to fit whatever needs the client has. If your pets are accustomed to being out and about in the home, I can spend time with them that way. I also am able to use kennels for feeding or sleeping if that’s what they are used to. I’m comfortable keeping things tidy and making sure it’s a safe and clean space for them to hang out.

If you need a professional lion tamer for your zoo I'm your gal! I am a ally/member of the 2SLGBTQ+ community ~ your home and animals are safe with me 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️ I have watched families with over 10 pets before. I also have experience with bearded dragons, guinea pigs, chicken, fish, and house hold gardens. Anything else, I'm a fast learner. I am currently house sitting and boarding full time! I'm a stay at home single mom and this is what we do full time. I am also a seamstress and do fleamarkets occasionally on the weekends. When I have those they are pre-planned in advance and I can give you details upon your sitting request. I try to be as non-invasive as possible. I bring my own blankets, towels & silverware. I like to make sure the daily routine of your animal is as close to it usually is. I keep dogs on leashes no matter what when on walks! And usually keep them contained when loading anything in or out to avoid any running away/chasing them around kind of drama. Anything you recommended to me or want me to do I will make sure happens to ensure your pets & home are safe. For boarding I have a very large fenced back yard with a locked gate which is the only access outside. There's also neighborhoods around with side walks for walks. I do have a hotel styled lock at the top of my front door that makes it impossible for the kids to accidentally open it and let any animals out. I also usually for boarding attach an air tag to the animal while they are at my house for extra precaution. No such thing as too safe!

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Carlson. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Carlson.

Got specific details you'd like the dog walker to include? Message them in the app before your dog’s walk begins.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Carlson. On Rover:

  • 92% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
