“Matha has taken such special care of my boy. She's made him part of her family, and he's become part of her dog's pack. They are such special people, and I cannot recommend them enough. It's a perfect, loving home for anyone's best friend.”

“Toni is accommodating, friendly and very knowledgeable about dogs, in general. Her facility is wonderful., spacious kennels, clean, orderly and dog oriented. I would highly recommend Toni.”

“Sara and John Patrick took exceptional care of our senior girl. We received regular updates with photos of how she was doing and all of the love she was getting from the family. We are always hesitant to leave her with someone who isn't family, especially as she has gotten older, but we had no concerns after dropping her off. We will highly recommend them to friends and hope to rebook with them when the need arises.”

“Melissa took such good care of my Ziggy while I was away for work. She was kind, flexible (with my travel schedule/delays), and communicative during his stay. I could tell Ziggy really enjoyed himself. Thanks Melissa!”

“My dog Cooper was very relaxed and at home with Cheryl. I felt at ease with Cooper in her care with his special dietary needs and separation anxiety. I really appreciated how she accommodated my change in schedule due to unexpected travel delays. Definitely will rebook for future dog boarding.”

“Highly recommend Damoan!!! Even though this was our first time using her it definitely won’t our last. Our pup had a great time, I’m pretty sure she was smiling in every pic I received!! Tons of pics and videos sent and Harley was happy at pickup. For a dog mom that loves her pets there’s nothing better then knowing that someone else is loving on them too!”

“Christine was fabulous with our dog, Tillie! Tillie can sometimes be a little nervous and it was easy to see in the many pictures that Christine sent that Tillie warmed up to her very quickly! She gave her a lot of personal attention and walks. When we picked her up, it was clear Tillie had bonded with Christine during her 5 day stay with her. We feel very lucky to have found her!”

“Samantha was great. Needed a last minute boarder and she was flexible and available! She sent many pictures/videos. Sparty loved hanging out with her and her pets!”

“Ellen is such a gem. She sent me pictures before i could even ask some days, she contacted me as soon as she thought something was going on with my pup (turns out it was nothing but the fact that she cared enough, & went out of her way to let me know was all the comfort i needed). 10/10 would recommend her & her services. Thank you again Ellen! Bronx and I really appreciate you! Can’t wait to book again! <3”
“Christine was amazing with our 11 yr. old pitbull. She gave him lots of love, attention and extra care when he was anxious. Christine treated him as one of her own. She sent pics and updates every day. Responded In a timely manner and even helped us feel less anxious while being away. She follows directions and uses good discernment. Highly recommend Christine and will definitely have her watch our pup if needed.”

About: I've been taking care of dogs and cats since before I completed my undergraduate degree in Animal Science, taking part in rescue organizations and volunteering as a foster. I also have 2 dogs (7 and 4 y/o) that I raised since they were puppies. I also have experience caring for senior dogs and cats. If your pets have any special needs, let me know and we can discuss! I'm currently finishing up a PhD in animal science at MSU, so I have a somewhat flexible schedule that can be adjusted based on your needs. I am a graduate student, so my schedule is flexible as I build it myself. I can adjust based on pet care needs, as well as do check-ins throughout the day. Being an owner of two very different dogs, I understand that there are different requirements and needs for each pet, so I will take care of your pet based on any of the requirements you set.
“Our energetic girl had a great 3-night stay with Cari. She was well cared for and enjoyed herself tremendously! Cari sent updates/pictures several times a day, which was reassuring, especially since it was our first time using Rover. We recommend Cari highly!”

“This was my first experience using Rover and Brianna made me feel comfortable from the start! Answered all my questions and communicated quickly. My 2 dogs were well taken care of by Brianna and she sent pictures while we were gone on vacation. She and her family gave them lots of love and attention. Very happy with her service! My dogs will be staying with her anytime I need a sitter in the future!”

About: I love all animals, and creatures! My goal in life is to own an animal sanctuary one day, to house rescued animals. I’ve been caring for animals since I was a pre-teen, and it’s where my passion and empathy lie. I’m very calm, loving, and would be honored to give you relief in knowing your fur children are left in good care. I have two dogs of my own and a few hermit crabs, and I even feed the squirrels, bunnies, & birds that frequent our outside space. Reach out! I’m excited to help! This is my business. I’m fully invested in expanding, and being available to current and future clients. Animals bring me joy. Caring for them, keeping them safe, and in their routine, in their families absence, is what I’m here for. A long with lots of love and play time! I’d prefer to do home drop in’s, but my dogs are very friendly and love to play. I have a fenced in yard, but at this point unless emergency, or further discussion I prefer to drop by your home!
“Donielle is a phenomenal pet sitter! This was our first time leaving our dog, and we never worried for a minute. She has years of experience and took fantastic care of our pup. It felt like our dog was on her own vacation and having so much fun she didn't even miss us! I highly recommend Donielle for her professional and caring service.”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 19 years old I love dogs I currently even check up on my in laws dog when they go on vacation. I have a very open schedule I’m a at home taking care of my daughter and my 2 dogs. So I do have a very open schedule might as well use it. Play with them give them attention give them treats when I can take them outside take a walk on the neighborhood especially when it’s warm out.
About: I’ve been pet sitting for both dogs and cats since I was 16. Neighbors, friends, and family have relied on me to provide consistent, loving care while they’re away. I take the time to understand each pet’s routine, personality, and needs, whether that means energetic playtime for puppies, patience, or gentle, attentive care for senior pets. I treat every pet as if they were my own, making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and happy in their home environment. I’m currently a full time graduate student at Michigan State University. I’m away for classes on Monday’s, Tuesday’s and Wednesday’s for 3 hours each day. I’m not employed so I’m able to be home and care for your pet as needed! When caring for pets in my home, I make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and welcomed. I provide a calm, clean environment, stick closely to their usual feeding and exercise routines, and give them plenty of attention and affection. Pets get regular potty breaks, playtime, and rest, and I adjust care based on their age, energy level, and personality. Whether it’s extra play for energetic pets or a quiet, cozy space for seniors, I treat every pet like part of the family.

Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
97% of sitters in Carland can provide daily exercise during dog boarding stays. Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, this may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.

- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Carland.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Adding another pup to the pack? Most sitters and walkers offer a reduced rate for additional dogs. You’ll find these exact rates listed under the "Services" tab on any sitter's profile. Since every dog is unique, final pricing may vary depending on the level of care required.
