About: Hi! I’m a local mom of two in the Owego area offering calm, reliable pet care. I have three cats of my own, so I’m very familiar with feeding routines, litter box care, and understanding different cat personalities. I’m comfortable caring for shy, independent, or more social pets. I offer drop-in visits for feeding, fresh water, litter box cleaning, and making sure your pet feels safe and cared for while you’re away. I also offer dog walking for all breeds. I focus on providing a quiet, low-stress experience and only take on a small number of pets at a time so each one gets proper attention. I’m also happy to send updates so you have peace of mind while you’re away. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I already care for my three cats each day, so feeding, cleaning, and checking on pets is a regular part of my life. I’m available for drop-in visits during the day after 9am and can also do early evening visits if needed. I keep a flexible but structured schedule so I can give each pet the time and attention they need without feeling rushed. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on keeping their routine as normal and stress-free as possible. I follow all instructions for feeding, fresh water, litter box cleaning, and any specific needs the pet may have. I also spend time with each pet so they feel comfortable and not alone. I respect each client’s home by keeping things clean, secure, and exactly as I found them. In my own home, I care for my three cats daily, so I’m very familiar with maintaining a clean, safe, and calm environment for pets.
About: I have a small dog, an indoor piggy, and a caged bird. I have grown up with pets, and always make sure they are properly taken care of. I love all animals, and strive to provide them the best stay possible. I am currently working part-time, so I have plenty of time to spend with the fur babies! I enjoy walking in the morning and evening, and if your pup enjoys that they can tag along! The animals will be taken care of just as my own. My dog is spoiled, and loves to snuggle. She’s is not aggressive towards other dogs, she just prefers humans. The animals are allowed on furniture and allowed to sleep in bed with Charlie and myself; as my home is their home for the duration of their stay!

About: I've taken care of dogs of all breeds, ages, and personalities for a large portion of my life - from when I was a kid in Jersey until last year, when my sweet and challenging pit bull, Hudson passed away. The fourteen years I spent with him taught me everything I could possibly want to know about how to care for a dog. I love and miss him so. I'm not in a position to adopt a new dog of my own yet, but spending time with yours would be the next best thing! I have a part-time job at a local artist residency with flexible hours. I have my own car and am available for multiple services at various times each day of the week. I have a fenced in yard and a large dog crate, 2 dog beds, and plenty of toys. I'm an extremely trustworthy person and would treat any client's home with the utmost respect and care. I'm an active runner and would love to take your dog for hikes and walks with me.

About: I have had Pets my entire life and have taken care of them since I can remember. I take care of family friends Dogs and Cats. I’ve house sitter for them and taken their dogs for walks for years. I love treating each pet with the same level of love they would get from their owners since they aren’t there. I do dog walking services around my neighborhood and enjoy being able to look out for our furry friends. I have been taking care of pets all my life. I am home for the summer from college and without a full time job I am able to be of pet care assistance at almost anytime. I believe that taking care of pets is a high priority in life and it deserves the same time and care as any other job. I believe that all pets deserve love and care the same way their owners would care for them. When an owner is not with the pet they deserve extra care to make them feel loved. I enjoy spending time with pets and giving them my time just as much as they may enjoy it. Pets are a major priority in my life and I think they deserve attention and care as much as we can give them.
“My dogs loved McKayla and she took wonderful care of them. She was also very commutative and I appreciated the daily updates. Will absolutely be hiring her again and I highly recommend!”

About: I’ve taken care of all different kinds of pets from one hundred pound dogs to chinchillas and reptiles. I was lucky enough to grow up in a neighborhood with lots of animals and found great joy in taking care of them. As a kid I volunteered at my local shelter and saw first hand how each animal has a different story. Above all I love pets and understand what your pet means to you. I am college student with a flexible schedule. I am available weekends and weekdays and can work with you and your schedule to make sure your pet gets the care they need. I prioritize quality walks and play time. I care about your pets well being and understand that meaningful one on one attention helps them feel safe and happy. I make an effort to be fully present during our time together, creating a calm and intimate experience tailored to each pet’s needs.
About: Hey! I'm Yazmeen. I've been petsitting for the last 8 years. I started with my sister and continued on my own. I have experience giving medication and with senior dogs as well as kittens. I love a long walk if the dog is up for it, and I'm always down to play and snuggle. Let me know if you're interested! My schedule is pretty flexible right now. I I usually wake up early, so I don't mind an early walk or feeding schedule. I typically go to bed around 11pm-midnight, but I am happy to work around a pet's schedule, especially to accommodate any medications or weather. I was raised to leave things better than I found them, so I always do a thorough clean before I leave a petsitting gig (including washing sheets, so you can go straight to bed!) I can also bring in mail and water plants if you give me a watering schedule.
About: I am a lover of all pets and have experience ranging from stopping by for bathroom breaks/feeding to overnight house sitting. I have been relied on to walk, feed, and give medication to cats and dogs. I am comfortable with all size pets. I am a young adult with no children and work 8am-4pm, Monday-Friday. I am able to work from home once and month and around the holidays from September to mid-May. I work from home once a week in the summer months. I am also able to leave for lunch so I can easily pop over on my lunch break. After work, I usually just relax and go to the gym so, I would love to be accompanied by your pet! Unfortunately, someone in my household has a pet allergy, but I am more than to stay at the caregiver’s home where the pet is more comfortable. I will follow and comply to any care instructions. I respect others’ spaces and belongings and will leave your home exactly as you left it, if not cleaner (I love cleaning). I have been trusted in others home’s before and understand the significance of that trust. My goal is to keep your pet as comfortable as possible while you are away and I am happy to accommodate all needs to do so! I love cuddles and will play with them. I realize an owner’s absence is usually stressful for pets, and both you and your pet should feel like they’re in good hands! I don’t have a pet of my own, so I will love and give them all the attention they need (:
About: Hi, I'm Coleman! By day, I research global catastrophic risks but my most important job? Making sure your dog is taken care of as well as absolutely possible! I've spent 8 years walking, sitting, and caring for pets of every temperament — anxious rescues, high-energy huskies, suspicious cats who take three days to warm up to anyone. Animals have always been my reset button from heavy intellectual work, and I bring that same obsessive attention to detail to every pet in my care. As a Cornell researcher and lifelong animal lover, I treat your pet the way I'd want the world's most conscientious person to treat them — with patience, structure, genuine affection, and no shortcuts. Your dog can't interview their sitter. But you can. I'm an open book. My schedule is extremely flexible! From early morning walks to long weekend (or more!) long house stays, I can make most any schedule work for my clients! I treat the animals I watch with care, considerations, and importantly with plenty of affection. But I also recognize every animal is unique and requires an individual approach, so I strive to interact with any pets, new or old, familiar or not, big or small, with the care they deserve!
About: I will love and take care of your dogs as if they were my own! They will get all the love and care they will possibly need while you’re away. I’ve been pet sitting for 10 years now! It’s my favorite thing to do. I know how it feels having to leave a pet and i love to give people peace of mind knowing they’re being taken care of as much as you would yourself. I have 3 dogs of my own. With that being said, having my own dogs i am not able to do overnights unfortunately! I can do drop in visits and dog walking! You won’t be disappointed with leaving you pets with me! thank you in advance and i hope to hear from you soon! I dog walk and pet sit full time so all of my time and attention will be to caring for your fur babies!! With 10 years of experience there is nothing i enjoy more than what i do!! I come to your home and take care of your pet exactly how you would take care of your pet. It’s important to keep a schedule and routine for your pet, especially when you have to leave them. That’s my main goal!

“Colleen is super nice, reliable and communicative! I don't just trust anyway with my dog, Pax, and I trust her completely. Colleen has been willing to accommodate my somewhat irregular schedule, and I appreciate her flexibility.”

About: I’ve had dogs most of my life. My current dogs are absolutely spoiled rotten. My girl has epilepsy-so we take extra with her! I also have a boy that is such a sweetheart. I’m soon to be off for the summer, so I will have lots of flexibility to take your pups for a walk! Looking forward to some fun! I don’t plan on caring for animals at my home at this time. My girl is part pitty and tends to only want her and her brother here.
About: I have taken care of pets my whole life. Many different kinds, including dogs, cats, ferrets, rats, etc. I will treat your pet with love and kindness. I have a job where I make my own schedule. If you decide to board your pet with me, I will be on premises at all times. For boarding, I have a decent size fenced in back yard. I do have a 7 year old husky that has gone to daycare. He's been around a lot of different dogs. If your dog needs to be crated, I can do that as well. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
