About: Growing up we had goats, chickens, dogs, fish. My dream to work with animals started when I was around 14 years old. I participated in the FFA (Future Farmers of America) program in high school and obtained A Greenhand Degree as well as a Chapter Degree. When I was 17 I adopted a beagle/pit mix from my local SPCA shelter and my love for animals grew even stronger. If you have a certain way you interact with your dog please tell me. I will always follow owners guidelines. Potty breaks are every 2-3 hours and lots of play in between. My goal is to keep the dogs I work with as close to their home environments as possible. I am currently a stay home mom/online entrepreneur. Animals are my passion I currently have 2 ESA, 2 cats and a Bearded Dragon. Caring for animals is in my daily routines. Safety is my first thought when it comes our pets, I have a fenced yard as well as medium sized kennel with shade in the back yard. I have 2 ESA dogs whom are very friendly to keep him/her company. I also allow animals inside if they prefer to be inside as long as they are fully potty trained, puppies are exceptions (ask for details).

About: I have been pet sitting for as long as I can remember:) Pets have always been my family and I will treat yours with the most love and affection I have in me. I will send updates on your baby daily with lots of pics and treats. I believe in total positive praise with all animals, they are precious angels that deserve all the love I can give them! I am a member of H.E.A.R.T Nevada County and deputized to help our animals during emergency situations. Use code MELG82053 to get $20 off your stay. Please use the code! I have been full time pet sitting in Nevada County since April 2023. As you can see from my amazing and unsolicited reviews that I have been very successful in caring for all animals in my charge. I have closed off boarding for the exception of current clients and kitties that can stay in my separate downstairs unit. If you are a corgi parent, that is the exception for dogs. All corgis are always welcome at my home🥰 Thank you for considering me to watch your babies, I will love and care for them as they are my own. I absolutely will take care of your pet to your exact specifications. I love taking pictures of your pet so you will get lots! I enjoy taking many, many walks to help your pet feel comfortable and at ease. While Im housesitting for a week or more I will make your dog homemade peanut butter cookies. They are a favorite and all dogs seem to love them. Your home will definitely be cleaner then when you left it and I’m happy to help with laundry during my stay.

“Micaela is responsible, professional, friendly, and loves animals. She arrives on time, and is an excellent person to take care of your pet. We have worked with her since 2012, and hired her to stay house sit with our two dogs (and a rescued Great Dane) at our home when we travel. We also have a horse, which she has helped to groom, feed, and blanket when we're away.”

About: Hi ~ I hope you’re having a good day and that you’ll find the perfect fit for pet care. I’d love to help you take the best possible care of your fur babies. I currently don’t have any pets of my own so am that much more enthusiastic about engaging with yours! I’ve pet and house-sat intermittently over the last 10 years and have also worked as a live-in caregiver, so I understand how important it is to be reliable and how to care for both animals and humans. I’ve always had a deep love for taking care of and learning about animals. Growing up, I helped my mom care for our beloved cats, ensuring they were well-fed, their litter boxes clean, and they had ample playtime. I helped raise and care fore them from the early stages of kittenhood to their adult years. I also enjoy caring for all types of dogs, ranging from dachshunds to great dane mixes. Over the years, I’ve been entrusted by friends, family members, and even friends-of-friends to walk, feed, and provide comprehensive care for their precious fur babies, including scaly and feathered companions. From cats, dogs, birds, fish, and lizards to turtles, I have had the pleasure of caring for pets in their own homes while their owners were away for various lengths of time, ranging from short getaways to extended trips lasting months. During these periods, my priority has always been to ensure the animals are as happy as possible (as they do tend to miss their owners) while maintaining their regular routines as closely as possible. Beyond basic care, I’m experienced in administering medications and I love spending quality time with these wonderful creatures. I’m currently working part-time so have plenty of time available to walk, play and care for your pets. I have remote work flexibility to be available for overnight stays and daytime activities. I’m available to care for your pets in your home, for drop in for visits, and to walk them. When I’m with your pets my goals are to maintain their normal schedule as closely as possible so they feel relaxed and know what to expect and to ensure their needs are met. I’ve owned or lived with pets for most of my life. The few years when I didn’t were when I was working as a National Park ranger. During that time I still got to learn a lot about animal behavior from observing wild animals across the USA. This time spent with animals combined with my sensitivity and attention to detail add up to me being able to “tune in” with your fur-baby so I know when to interact and when to let them have space. Your and your pets’ happiness are important to me. I’m happy to play with them, bring them on their favorite walking route, and send you photo updates. I’ll be available via phone as needed while you are away.

14. Barbara J.
“Barbara is an incredible pet sitter! She truly loves and cares for animals as if they are her children and puts her all into loving them. She is respectful of rules put in place and very responsible, I felt very safe having her care for my dog.”
15. Makenna C.
“Makenna has been walking and looking after our 2 dogs for the past few months. She responds to messages and changes in schedules promptly. Our schedules are constantly evolving and Makenna stays in constant communication to make sure our dogs receive the care they need. She is great with our puppy and our adult dog, who typically is not very fond of strangers. I highly recommend using Makenna and we have referred her to our friends with dog needs.”

19. Liz M.
“I had Liz walk my two puppies today and she was phenomenal! This is my first time using Rover and I was very hesitant, but Liz was very easy to talk to and personable. I highly recommend her and I will continue to have Liz walk my animals. She went above and beyond with sending me photos and keeping me updated and even let my other dogs outside for a potty break and some play time. I am extremely pleased with how she treated my animals as if they were her own!:)”
