“She took such good care of my puppy, she was in constant communication and sent pictures almost daily. She super spoiled my baby and he had a blast the whole time! She even went above and beyond and took him to be groomed at her shop.”

“My baby boi loves going to see Tony's family and has been several times. What I love is that Thompson gets excited when we pull up as he wants to go play with his friends. I'll continue to rebook and only great things to say!”

“Angela has been a wonderful caring sitter for Zeus. She sends pictures and has worked with us when our travel plans needed adjustment. Zeus is well cared for while staying with her.”

“My 3 dogs did so well with Kim. Initially I was super stressed because one of my dogs was taking medicine and needed special care, but Kim was wonderful with all of them. She even sent pictures while they were in her care. I would trust them with her again.”

“Jill and her family welcomed Bailey into their home and treated him as their own. They were attentive to his needs as a senior dog, including giving oral medicine. I could tell he was well brushed and cared for when I picked him up. Her large yard was perfect for him. Jill had clearly gotten attached to him. She was always very responsive whenever I texted. I would book with Jill again.”

“Ashley and family once again made Rocco feel at home. He was spoiled with attention, and always looked happy in the regular pictures we received. Rocco tends to be anxious, but always seems comfortable in Ashley’s home.”

“Debbie and Tom are awesome! This is the first time we have left our dog and didn’t worry a bit! You can tell they are both animal lovers! Our dog does best if she gets a walk in for the day and they had perfect setup in neighborhood and were willing to. Even though it’s a 30 min drive we will not hesitate to use Debbie and Tom for our next getaway!! 5 star sitters for sure!!!”

“Shalyn & Joseph really set my mind at ease when dropping off my pup. They kept me updated with pictures & detailed messages about how he was doing. Wally seemed like such a happy/ tired boy when he came home & I couldn’t have asked for better people to take care of him!”

“Jessica is fantastic! She took our pup to the park and on her errands which made him very happy. Very communicative too the entire time with photos and videos. And she takes excellent photos to boot!”

“Dorothy is amazing and we couldn’t recommend her enough. She took the time to get to know my pup and her needs, and sent many updates while we were away. We are happy to have found someone we trust so much!”

“Kelly was absolutely amazing with our dog, Quincy! Quincy has an eye condition that requires an eyedrop every night before bed, and Kelly not only administered it every night but also messaged us afterward to let us know it was done, which gave us so much peace of mind. Throughout his stay, we received plenty of photos and videos, and Quincy got to play with Kelly’s dog, Maggie, every day. Maggie is truly the sweetest little host! We would absolutely send Quincy back to Kelly’s house in the future and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, trustworthy, and attentive dog sitter!”

“She was very nice. She responded very fast and sent lots of pictures. She gave updates everyday and let me know how everything was going. Would definitely book with her again”

“Thanks for taking such wonderful care of our little Lucy! I have to admit that I was nervous about leaving our Boston Terrier with a family we didn't know, but with all of the wonderful reviews already on Rover.com (and seeing that 17 families are repeat customers), I knew Jennifer and her family must be doing something right. I also liked that Jennifer homeschools her kiddos, so they are home during the day. So I knew she wouldn't be left alone for long periods of time. (Both my husband and I are home office so we're with Lucy all day -- she craves having a buddy to hang out with. ) The week Jennifer and the family had Lucy, they also had a couple of other small dogs. Our Lucy is crate trained and I could see the other dogs there were as well. Drop off was easy. I just left some basic instructions, along with her food and treats, and headed off. Within a couple of hours, I received our first of many photos while we were gone. Have to say... it made me feel more relaxed and my boys (who were missing our dog terribly) loved seeing what Lucy was up to. From cuddling up with the kids to going to the local dog park, it was obvious she was in great hands. Jennifer is an easy recommendation!”

“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 100/10 — Amazing Dog Sitter! Tracy was absolutely amazing! She cared for Ghost as if he were her own, and that means everything to me. You can tell she genuinely loves animals and goes above and beyond to make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I had peace of mind knowing Ghost was in such good hands. I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter, and I would recommend Tracy to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, caring, and reliable to watch their fur baby. Thank you, Tracy, for treating Ghost like family! ❤️🐾”

“I highly recommend Kaitlyn!! I have 2 big boys 1 is a Doberman and the other is a golden mix. They fight if their in the same room. So was going to have Kaitlyn watch just one of them. When I went to do a meet and greet with my golden. We got to talking and she said she would be willing to take both. She was amazing! I didnt have to worry all weekend long about them because she would send me updates with happy pictures every day. They always looked so happy with all the walks and belly rubs. Highly recommend! I will definitely be going back to her and dropping my other doggie daycare even with a 15 minute extra drive.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Camp Lake
Elizabeth was absolutely incredible, and I cannot recommend her enough! As a “helicopter” dog mom, I’m always anxious about leaving my boy but she made me feel completely comfortable and informed from the day I first inquired about his stay. She genuinely loves dogs, cares about their health, and it shows in everything she does. Her yard is huge—a dog’s paradise—and was perfect for my energetic 3 year old boy to run, play, and burn off energy. He had the best time! She sent frequent updates along with the sweetest pictures and videos. It was clear he was not only being well cared for, but was truly happy and having fun. Finding Elizabeth was such a blessing! We are so grateful for her, and already looking forward to his next stay!

Elizabeth took such great care of our Brixton while my husband and I were away for our wedding! We’re always nervous leaving Brixton with anyone because he's epileptic and requires daily meds at specific times but Elizabeth went above and beyond to understand his condition and ask questions. Her attention to detail and love of pups gave us so much peace of mind. We also loved her daily updates and photos. Would highly recommend booking with her!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Camp Lake home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Camp Lake.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Camp Lake sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
