About: Hi! My name is Merrily, and I am a student at UNC! I have been an animal lover my whole life, growing up with two dogs and a cat! My dogs were a sweet boxer and a lively pug, so I have experience with both big and small dogs! I especially loved to take my boxer on long walks and runs, and cuddled and played with my pug. From taking care of my dogs throughout teenage hood, I gained valuable experience with senior care, administering oral and topical medication daily, dental care, bathes, and basic grooming. I also have dog and cat sat for family friends and neighbors numerous times, with duties ranging from senior care with a lab dog, to taking care (and easing) an anxious corgi. My favorite aspect of pet-setting is of course snuggles! I want to provide affection and comfort just as pets provide me with affection and comfort! I also thoroughly enjoy playtime and walks!🩷🐾 I am a full-time college student at UNC with much free time over summer break! The evening before the walk, she mentioned that it was going to be extremely hot (110 heat index!) so she offered to walk my dog earlier in the morning and later in the evening to make sure my pup stayed safe in the heat. About: I have taken care of my own animals and those of others since I was very young. I have been the go-to caretaker for many family members and friends for years, and I love the responsibility of caring for their prized pets. I am a graduate student, so I can fit visits in most times of the day after noon. I am happy to be flexible and can add in visits to my schedule easily. I am a committed walker and caregiver and will do whatever is required to give your pet a happy time while you are away. He was great with our two dogs—very trustworthy and responsible when asked to take care of them. He would get up early to let them out and to walk them. One of them needed meds and special food, and that was never a worry when Sam was in charge of them. And he loved to take the younger, more active one to play with the Chuck-It at the fields near our house. He was good about enforcing their training and manners too.
