About: Growing up on a farm I learned how to take care of ALL types of animals. Over the years I have increased that knowledge, and currently have a cat, dog, and horse of my own. I moved to this area three years ago, but while still living in Vermont I would provide boarding services, you can see my excellent reviews of happy customers! Your pet will be in the absolute best care, with me, and have a fun time as well! I was previously a preschool teacher, so I am background checked and responsible! Before and after work I take my own dog for a nice long walk to ensure he gets exercise and is a happy healthy dog. Your pet can come along with us on our daily routine! Since I will not be doing any boarding, at the moment, my environment doesn’t really apply. However, I always make sure animals feel Botha safe with me, our surroundings and other animals around. I will not bring them anywhere outside of their comfort zone or where they might feel unsafe.

About: I’ve spent years working closely with animals, from running dog sled tours in the snowy backcountry to working as a farmhand, where I gained firsthand experience caring for a wide variety of animals. My journey with dogs didn’t stop there-I also foster dogs for a local rescue, helping them find their forever homes and ensuring they receive the care and training they need. But my love for animals is more than just a job, it’s my life. At home, I’m surrounded by my own furry family: four dogs and a cat who keep me busy, happy, and always learning. Whether it’s hiking the trails, playing in the yard, or simply sharing quiet moments, I know firsthand the joy and challenges of caring for pets. With advance notice, I can be available whenever you need a sitter or just someone to hangout with your pup or cat for the day or overnight. I do not provide boarding at my home currently. When caring for animals in a client’s home, my top priority is creating a safe, comfortable, and familiar environment for your pets while maintaining your home’s routine and security.

About: READ BEFORE BOOKING: Boarding + Daycare in our home I live with four other people: one human (my partner Jason), one canine (a 2-year-old Border Collie Poodle girl), and two felines (a 1-year-old girl and a 13-year-old queen). All of them are very friendly and well socialized. However, this means that if I board your dog, or take them in for daycare, they have to be familiar and respectful with cats, and well-socialized with dogs. Ideally they love playing and chasing (but not the cats). I work from home on my budding dog business, and I am enrolled in The Academy For Dog Trainers, studying canine behavior and training. It is easy for me to have another dog around, but I will require a visit to my house first to ensure the dogs get along, and your dog won't chase my cats. Ideally, we go for a walk together first, to give the dogs the opportunity to meet on neutral turf. I will only take one guest dog at a time. They'll get to play to their heart's content with my dog in a fully fenced large yard. Sitting in your home: If I stay at your home to petsit, I will bring my dog along. This is not negotiable. She's fully housebroken and well-behaved. I will require a visit of your home to ensure our dogs get along in your dog's territory. Ideally, we go for a walk together first, to meet on neutral turf. I will need reliable high-speed internet at your home. Bonus: I’m really good at taking care of plants, too. General dog weight preference: My preference is dogs who are 50lbs and under, unless they are really mellow or well-behaved. I want to be able to control them and keep everyone safe. My partner Jason and I just love all animals. I will be your sitter / primary caretaker, but in our home, Jason will give a lot of additional affection and attention, when he's around. I’ve been a dog parent for over 20 years, and have lots of experience with all ages and special needs. I am very diligent about catering to your dog’s specific needs and keeping you updated as frequently as you like, including lots of pictures. I usually drive my own dog to various trails in the area every morning and we go 3+ miles, I'd be happy to take yours on hikes, too, if they like car rides and can handle the exercise. Your dog will be with me and my dog all day long. Throughout the day, I take frequent breaks and let them out, be it for more walks, or a game of fetch or chase in our large yard. As soon as I'm certified as a dog trainer, I'll be happy to take on training as well. I will watch your dog in my home or yours. I’ll adhere to their normal schedule and needs. They'll have a friendly play buddy in my own dog.

About: Hi! I love animals and my family has had dogs my entire life and I took a big role in responsibility for them. I would love to spend time with your animals. I have grown up with two dogs and have puppy trained both of them. As well as house sat and taken care of many animals. I am a student, so I have flexibility with my schedule and am available at the drop of a hat. I have two dogs back at home, who I miss everyday being at school. I always had responsibilities regarding there walks, vet visits, and daily needs. I am a routinely person and prioritize cleanliness as well as safety when it comes to caring for animals. I provide service that is consistently above and beyond the needs of clients and their furry friends! Currently, I do not have any animals. But I am an active person, I love being outside so taking care of animals needs is easy for me. My school schedule is pretty flexible for the most part so taking care of animals would be an easy task. I care for pets as if they are an actual person. I am lucky to say that I have fostered dogs... many of whom found their forever homes within 48 hours (I like to think of myself as part-time foster mom, part-time matchmaker). My old dog (whose name, funnily enough, is blocked by Rover for security reasons) was my absolute heart. These days, I travel too much in the summer to have another full-time pup, but I still have all that dog parent energy and nowhere to put it... except into caring for yours. 5. I’m an early riser, happy to be out the door for sunrise strolls, but I’m just as game for evening walks. I’m also super flexible with housesitting, whether you need someone for a night or a longer stretch. In addition to the long-time private clients I’m fortunate to work with, I’m currently welcoming new clients through Rover. Although I’m based in the Northeast Kingdom this summer, my profile is set to Morristown to help broaden my booking radius. I frequently care for repeat clients in the Waterbury/Stowe area and often travel to Charlotte and the Mad River Valley to support families I’ve developed trusted relationships with over the years.
