âWe couldnât be happier with the care Mahan gave our French Bulldog, Tessa, while we were away on our trip to Iceland. Leaving your puppy behind is never easy, but Mahan made the entire experience completely stress free. She was kind, reliable, and clearly treated Tessa like she was one of her own. We received regular updates that gave us so much peace of mind, and when we picked Tessa up, she was happy, healthy, and clearly very well cared for. Itâs obvious that Mahan genuinely loves dogs and is passionate about what she does. Knowing Tessa was in such caring hands allowed us to truly enjoy our vacation without constantly worrying about her. We wouldnât hesitate to recommend Mahan to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, compassionate, and dependable to care for their pet. We will absolutely be using her again whenever we have to be away. Thank you so much for taking such wonderful care of our sweet girl. Weâre incredibly grateful, and Tessa canât wait to come back!â

âNatasha took us last minute and was so friendly and easy to communicate with right off the bat. She couldn't have taken better care of our golden doodle. He got plenty of love and walks and we were updated with pictures and messages. Highly recommend!â

âMonique is amazing. You can tell that she really loves dogs and will take care of them. I trust Monique with my pet and I donât worry about leaving him with Monique. Thank you!â
âTia and her family welcomed our girlie into their home with open arms and took such great care of her. We got lots of photo updates and even a video! Highly recommend Tia and her family! We will be back ???â

âSo communicative during my dogs stay with updates, canât recommend enough. My dog can be stubborn with feeding when Iâm not around and he was absolutely fine and super comfortable!â

âAs I snuggle with our 98lbs Ridgeback, I'm at peace knowing we have been blessed with the caregivers we've been looking for. As a first time paw-parent, we left Ayo in your care today and I can't tell you how relieved I was to know the care Ayo recieved today. The pictures you shared, the mini video of taking for Ayo for a run and his nap time, nevermind how excited he was when we dropped him off this morning said it all. Suffice to say, Ayo has a second home. Thank you Natalie and Daniel for giving us the peace of mind we've been looking for. We will be back. đđżđđżđđŻđžđŻđžđŻđž.â

âGinny took such great care of my fur baby for an entire month! She sent me updates and even professional photos of her. She gave her so much love. I would definitely recommend and use her again! Thank you so much!â

âMelissa and family were absolutely incredible. Great communication and attentive care to our pup who had a great time. Would highly recommend Melissa - we will back!â

âWe used Hao for both all-day recurring scheduled day care and boarding while I had a medical procedure done. Hao and his family made Bear feel at home, he was treated like part of their pack and they ensured he was comfortable and happy. Thank you Hao!â

âAllyson was absolutely awesome! My little boy felt at home, happy and safe. I had total peace of mind with regular updates. Allyson's daughter was so loving and my little boy loved them very much. Totally recommended and thank you for all the care and love â¤â¤â¤â

âWe left our three year-old retriever, Nora, with Kripa for three days. This was our first time using Rover and, honestly, I was a little nervous, leaving her with a stranger. We had a first meet and greet and all went well. In fact, I was very happy how Nora played in interacted with her dog. When I dropped Nora off, Iimmediately received photos and videos within an hour. I did not expect this to continue, but I was happy to continually get pictures and updated videos of Noraâs integration, walks, and life throughout the three days we were away. This made myself and my kids so happy to see that we had made such great of choice of boarding. I would definitely use Kripa again. Her communication and punctuality is outstanding. Her house is very clean and she is very easy to talk with. Thank you again for taking such good care of our fur baby!â

âOur husky Basha had a great stay with Xintian and family. Although he had some separation anxiety and some nervous behavior due to an encounter with a different dog in the days prior to him staying, Xintian and family were so patient and understanding with him and kept us up to date with pictures, videos and messages to keep our mind at ease! Would definitely recommend to have your dog stay here. They truly gave him a home away from home!â

âA wonderful experience - while we were away and our girls were on their âretreatâ they were cared for with absolute love. Our dogs became part of their family, and the daily photos let us know that the girls were both settling in and then perfectly at home. The girls got into their regular habits, playing with each other, sleeping on the back of the couch, and Julia even held an umbrella for Scarlett when it rained! Would send the girls on retreat again any time!â

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
