About: Hi! My names Catherine; Before becoming a RVT, I worked in kennels and humane societies taking care of all kinds of pets! At the moment it's just me and my turtle, Ty, so I would love to get more quality time with other pets! As a registered vet nurse, this sets me apart and gives me the skills to ensure safety to all animals that I may care for :) I especially love senior pets and big slobber dogs! I'm available to care for pets from Friday to Sunday any time; whether for boarding or day care! Or on the days I'm working (Mon-Thurs) I can offer walks and check ins after 7PM Trusting someone to look after your pet is a big deal! I have owned pets my whole life, and have worked in the veterinary field for 8years, ensuring the safety, and happiness of all pets is my number 1 priority

“Took in Molly with little advance notice. Superior attention of care and service.”

“Heather was awesome. She was available on very short notice to watch our Newf, who was happy and tired after going on multiple beach walks. She even gave her a special treat of fresh-caught salmon from her dinner party at the end of the day. We highly recommend her!”

About: I have had a dog and cat since I was born! We started living half the year in Mexico with my 3 daughters and husband in 2008. I joined Sayulita Animals while I was homeschooling my daughter and started fostering dogs in my home with my family. I have loved and nurtured over 40 different dogs including pitbulls, 3 legged Huskies and tiny sick puppies. Every dog had a different personality that comes with different needs. I give my animals alot of exercise and beach time. I'm a sucker for letting them on the furniture but also can follow friends boundaries and crate ideology. I like to keep my animals safe. Emotionally and physically. I love cats equally to dogs and my perfect Sunday is snuggling my dog and cat in my bed and listening to the rain. I am a semi retired restaurant owner who works part time teaching swimming lessons. My animals come to school drop off and soccer games and I rarely leave the animals alone. Of course the cat doesn't come along. If I commit to pet care, it is important my dog Camino is able to join the walks and beach adventures. I would definitely need other dogs that get on well with other animals. I am also flexible to leave my dog at home if your dog needs do solo walks and care. I follow the guidelines of the client and always use a leash for dogs. I am very careful in exchanging between car and home and use common sense and skills I use as a mother of 3. I have worked with many dogs during my fostering work .

About: I was raised on a dairy farm in the UK, and I studied Marine Biology at University. I have worked as a whale watch guide, a server and I am now a part time paramedic as well as a long time dog owner and lover ! I believe a happy dog is a tired dog! When I look after your dog and your home - we walk, we run, we bike ride! I keep your dog calm and focused throughout our time together, and can work with your dog on any behavioral issues they may have. I try to keep the excitement level down and the calm level feelings consistent. The end result is always a tired happy dog! I have experience with elderly dogs, special needs and medication administration. My profile is currently set to ''in you home'' dog sits. If you book, I would need to discuss travel arrangements with you, as I would have to fly in to YYC, as well as have use of a vehicle while you are away. Longer duration sits can absolutely be accommodated. We have hundreds (if not thousands!) of happy customers, and would be able to provide you with multiple references from past and current clients, and work collegues if you require. Myself and my partner Etienne look after all our dogs at home for our business Tofino Dogsitting and Westcoast Woof - we work as a team, so that we can spend more quality time with them . Etienne is from Germany, and was also a whale watch guide in British Columbia. We have a Facebook and Instagram page ''Tofino Dogsitting'' if you would like to check out our photos and reviews! Also regarding our ''repeat customer score'' - most of our dog sits have been in a town that deals with primarily tourist dogs, and we have had no locals use Rover. This results in a low repeat client score. We do have lots of happy locals that use us on a daily basis, and we would be happy to connect with you on Facebook and Instagram. Thank you for your time. If I were to come to your home to look after your pet / pets, I would be home with them pretty much all of the day and night. Outings to get groceries etc .. would be when they would be left alone, or if they are good in the car / crate that is also an option. I would discuss their individual needs with you. Longer stay discounts available Affiliated with Westcoast Woof / Tofino Dogsitting / sookedogwalker - we are insured. We are located in Sooke, but are always happy to travel, to care for your pets. I only offer 'in your home' service at this time. I would ask that we have some over the phone / video call 'interviews' prior to booking, so that we would meet you and the pets, and we can dial down the details of your home and your requirements. Every dog is different, and every home is unique ! Travel rate may apply
