Natalie is kind and gentle with our somewhat anxious dog, giving him lots of love and walks. Natalie is also fantastic at communicating with us about anything that comes up, and regularly shares photos and updates with us while we are away. To top it off, she kept our house in immaculate condition - even putting clean sheets on our bed for our late night return home. Highly recommend!”

“Dawn was fantastic with our two dachshunds. We had a play to get to and needed to be out the door on time, so her punctuality was much appreciated. What really stood out was how she handled Echo. He is extremely fear-reactive and can be a lot to manage, but Dawn took it completely in stride and never had an issue with him. That kind of patience and instinct with a nervous dog isn't something you can teach, and it gave us real peace of mind while we were out, so we could enjoy ourselves knowing the boys were in great hands. So as long as the pet owners communicate their needs well in advance, I don't believe there will be a scheduling problem. I work 7 days a week, so my schedule is pretty the same year-round. I also have a car for driving long distances if needed. 1. Keep them safe and clean. 2. Meet basic requirements, including on-time feeding and put-into activities. 3. Enhance with playing and interacting with pets to build trust and relationships 4. Extra attention to ensure pets are happy and calm.

I work from home part of the week so have ability to play in the backyard at lunch or let dogs outside as frequently as needed. I prioritize being outside, even on rainy days so there’s no fear that a doggo would miss out on a walk! I have a fenced yard and it’s big enough to run around or play fetch in. We have sectioned off a few areas in our house so that multiple dogs have places to take breaks separately if need be. I always want to ensure every dog that I take care of feels fulfilled and happy!

About: I grew up with Moose, our family's Shar-Pei. The breed tends to be wary of strangers, and watching Moose slowly warm up to visitors taught me to let a new dog come to me when they're ready. I've also walked dogs for neighbours and friends, and I'm comfortable with dogs of all sizes and energy levels. On walks, my phone stays in my pocket unless I'm taking photos for your update. That way, I spot a dropped chicken bone before your dog does. If your dog tenses up at an oncoming dog, a skateboard, or a goose, I cross the street or head the other way before it turns into barking or lunging. I also adjust each walk to your dog, whether they need a slow stroll with lots of sniffing or a brisk pace to burn off energy. I'll stick to your rules too: the commands you use, how many treats are allowed, and whether the couch is off-limits. I'm on a lighter course load this term, so apart from a few classes, I'm available 7 days a week, 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. That means I can walk your dog at the same time every weekday while you're at work, so they know what to expect. I'm also around for last-minute walks when you're running late, and I can usually do a meet & greet within a day or two of hearing from you. I keep my Rover calendar up to date, so if it shows me as available, I am. If my class schedule changes next term, I'll give you plenty of notice. At our meet & greet, I'll learn your dog's routine, how they are with other dogs, what spooks them, and who to call in an emergency, including your vet. On walks, I make sure your dog can't back out of their collar or harness, keep them leashed the whole time, and always pick up after them. They only greet other dogs if you're fine with it and the other dog's owner agrees. On hot days, I test the pavement with the back of my hand to make sure it's safe for paws, bring water, and keep walks short and shaded. When it's bitterly cold or icy, I shorten walks and stick to cleared paths. In your home, I block the doorway when I come and go so your dog can't dart out, and I never bring anyone else inside. On drop-ins and house sits, I keep meals, walks, and bedtime on your dog's usual schedule. When I'm staying over, I never leave them alone longer than we've agreed. Before I leave, I wipe mud or road salt off their paws, refill the water bowl, latch any gates, and lock up. After every visit, you'll get photos and a quick update, including bathroom breaks. If anything seems off, like limping or an upset stomach, I'll let you know right away.

About: I have 2 dogs of my own! I was able to care for and train the 9 puppies they had. I have also taken care of senior dogs, cats of all ages, and kids My routine revolves around pet care without question. When I wake up I make sure to take my dogs for a walk, given their medication, and food. The pets come before anything else I make sure there is clear communication between the client and I. Many pets have their own schedule and I will follow that. I believe with communication, there is nothing that could go wrong.

We appreciated that Jillian could work remotely, as our dogs were used to having someone at home most of the time and it was important to us that she was able to maintain their routine. We returned from vacation to a pair of relaxed and content pups. In addition to the excellent pet care, our home was neat and tidy ... she even left us some home-baked cookies! A pet sit with Jillian is worth the cost, as she invests her own time "pre" and "post" the actual booking and makes your pets her priority for whatever length of time she stays with them. We would recommend Jillian to any other pet owners looking for exceptional care, we will be booking her to stay with Cash and Freedom again!”
