“I cannot say enough good things about Cindy and her family! We were really nervous about leaving our pup for multiple days because he’s only 4 months old and we had never left him before, but from the moment we met Cindy, we immediately felt comfortable and at ease. Cindy and her family are incredibly warm and friendly, so helpful and accommodating, and just really good people who are amazing with animals. We are super over the top with our dog, we have a million toys, stairs for the couch, a crate, a playpen, and I even printed out a 4-pager of instructions because I’m THAT dog mom haha! Cindy literally took it all in with no issue at all, she was amazing about training our pup and sticking to his routine, she took him out to pee every couple of hours, and literally he just got to be snuggled and loved constantly everyday. I could not be happier to have found such a wonderful family who is so good with our pup, so patient with all my details and instructions, so amazing about sending updates and pictures the whole time so that we could see how comfortable and happy our pup was. Cindy is our number one choice for someone that we can trust to take the best care of our little guy and we will go to her as often as she is willing to have him! We truly cannot recommend Cindy more for anyone who needs some help with dog boarding/sitting! Cindy and her family are the absolute best!”

“This is the second time Kimberly has looked after our dog, Hunter, while we were away on holiday, and once again she was outstanding. She provided daily updates with photos, which gave us great peace of mind. Hunter and Kimberly’s dog, Murphy, bonded wonderfully and became great playmates. It was reassuring to know Hunter was not only well cared for but also happy and having fun. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Kimberly to anyone looking for a caring, reliable pet sitter”

“This past weekend our family used Rover for the first time and Adam kindly and quickly responded to my booking request as well as any questions I had. He kept contact throughout Nova's stay and sent us pictures along the way. It was FANTASTIC to be able to go away and have her stay in a safe, warm and caring environment. We would highly recommend and hope to book with Adam again in the future.”

“We have a beagle who is two and half years old with some separation anxiety issues. And whenever we leave our dog with Eva and her family, he always come back to us with a better attitude and happiness. I definitely recommend her.”

“Dawn was a lifesaver! Our original sitter canceled last minute, and Dawn accepted our booking the same day. We were so grateful she could take Choki in on such short notice. She kept us updated with photos and took amazing care of him. When I picked him up, he was calm, happy, and even freshly washed and groomed—he looked better than when we dropped him off! I couldn’t recommend Dawn more. She’s caring, professional, and truly goes above and beyond. Thank you, Dawn!”

“I would definitely recommend her! She took great care of my pup and kept me updated the entire time he was staying with her. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing he was in such good hands. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again!”

“I could tell that Coco had a great time here! I got regular photo updates, and I could tell that he was quite relaxed and happy there. He'll definitely be back. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a sitter.”

“We had a wonderful experience with Tyrone! He provided many photos and updates, and we had no doubt our boy Ollie was in the best care. We will definitely use Tyrone’s help again! Highly recommend!”

“Enzo had an amazing stay with Claudia! We were regularly updated with pictures and videos of his playing and getting pampered. We cannot thank her enough for taking care of our baby like her own. Definitely going to book her for future and highly recommended 🫶🏼”

About: - 50+ years combined experience - taken care of dogs, cats, rodents, birds, reptiles, amphibians, and fish - have trained personal pets, including working dogs - SPCA visitation volunteer Your fur-babies are guaranteed 24/7 care by someone who will love them, pet them, feed them, walk them, and ensure they get plenty of play time. My home is a spacious apartment, and I allow puppies and kitties on my couch and bed. In fact, I love cuddling. So, I encourage it. However, your place will be your rules. “Saksham took great care of Snowy while we were away. We were a bit late for pickup, but he was very understanding and accommodating. Highly recommended!”

“We are so happy to have found Magno & Patricia to look after Solo this weekend. It was her first time away from us after a severe illness, and they put our minds at ease with lots of photos and updates when her medication was administered. Solo came home happy and well cared for. Magno & Patricia, we hope you can be our regular sitters for Solo!”

“Carey was great. It was our dog's first time being left at a dog sitter. And his first time spending hours with other dogs. He loved it! When we picked him up, he was calm and relaxed. Carey sent us videos and reassured us he was doing great. Id absolutely leave my dog with Carey again!”

“We had a fantastic experience boarding our cat with Wenge for the day while we were visiting the area. She was responsive and easygoing and it seems Ruby felt at ease in her home. Thanks Wenge!”

“Gail is amazing! My 2.5-year-old husky came back happy, well cared for, and completely tired out after his stay. It was clear that her entire family helped take care of him, not just Gail, which made me feel even more comfortable leaving him there. She provided regular photo updates and communicated very well throughout the stay. I would 100% recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and reliable dog sitter.”

Easiest and most lovely Rover experience I’ve had. Tieja is very responsive, has a lovely place for dogs. My dog was the most relaxed he’s been in his 9 years when we picked him up. Tieja also took care of my dad’s nervous dog and gave him lots of extra TLC. Absolutely will be returning!

It was our first time leaving Bella with a boarding service and we are very happy with the results. Dallas was great with Bella. They got along fantastic. We could could tell as Bella was excited and happy to start her time with Dallas after her first visit. We had a great trip knowing that Bella was secure with Dallas. Thank you
5 stars isn't enough for Maria. What was suppose to be a simple few days while we went on vacation quickly turned out to be anything but. right before we were to leave we discovered Ellie had a brain Tumor and needed alot of extra care.. We gave Maria the chance to back out as that's not what was originally discussed.. and she didn't.. she was up for the challenge. Simply Amazing.. thank you so much for taking care of our girl for us.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
