“I cannot say enough good things about Cindy and her family! We were really nervous about leaving our pup for multiple days because he’s only 4 months old and we had never left him before, but from the moment we met Cindy, we immediately felt comfortable and at ease. Cindy and her family are incredibly warm and friendly, so helpful and accommodating, and just really good people who are amazing with animals. We are super over the top with our dog, we have a million toys, stairs for the couch, a crate, a playpen, and I even printed out a 4-pager of instructions because I’m THAT dog mom haha! Cindy literally took it all in with no issue at all, she was amazing about training our pup and sticking to his routine, she took him out to pee every couple of hours, and literally he just got to be snuggled and loved constantly everyday. I could not be happier to have found such a wonderful family who is so good with our pup, so patient with all my details and instructions, so amazing about sending updates and pictures the whole time so that we could see how comfortable and happy our pup was. Cindy is our number one choice for someone that we can trust to take the best care of our little guy and we will go to her as often as she is willing to have him! We truly cannot recommend Cindy more for anyone who needs some help with dog boarding/sitting! Cindy and her family are the absolute best!”

“Kimberly and her husband Kevin are fantastic. Orly had her first overnight and came home tired and happy. I know she gets lots of love and attention. She is looking forward to her next vacation at Kimberly's.”

“This past weekend our family used Rover for the first time and Adam kindly and quickly responded to my booking request as well as any questions I had. He kept contact throughout Nova's stay and sent us pictures along the way. It was FANTASTIC to be able to go away and have her stay in a safe, warm and caring environment. We would highly recommend and hope to book with Adam again in the future.”

“Dawn was a lifesaver! Our original sitter canceled last minute, and Dawn accepted our booking the same day. We were so grateful she could take Choki in on such short notice. She kept us updated with photos and took amazing care of him. When I picked him up, he was calm, happy, and even freshly washed and groomed—he looked better than when we dropped him off! I couldn’t recommend Dawn more. She’s caring, professional, and truly goes above and beyond. Thank you, Dawn!”

“Eva was really great with my babies. she went above and beyond and even taught my puppy to walk on a leash. Will definitely book her again if we need to go out on a trip. Thank you so much eva!!!”

“Excellent experience! Nyla was well cared for, loved, and treated like family. I appreciated the updates and could tell she was comfortable and happy during her stay. We would definitely book with Tieja again. Highly recommend!”

“Emma and Victoria were great! They helped watch our senior dog with some mobility issues due to arthritis with such great care. They were able to give him his medications as needed and provided daily updates and photos to set our mind at ease. It was Django's first time with them and he loved it! Would definitely recommend! Thanks again”

“We are so pleased and happy with our experience! Cannot thank you enough! We got updates daily on our cats and lots of pictures! So so happy and will book again soon!”

“Experienced care-giver with caring family and fenced in back yard. Our mini-poodle’s first night away from home and Karen made it a positive, happy experience for her. We will definitely be hiring her again :)”

“We absolutely love when Saksham and Abhilasha take care of Butters. He loves them so much and is so comfy in their home. We never worry about him when we are away because we know he is having a great time and being extremely well taken care of. We get photos and updates every day so we never feel out of the loop.”

“We had a wonderful experience with Cindy and Marc! She was so kind and took great care of Onyx, sending us regular photo updates and keeping us informed about how he was doing. Onyx loved the long walks they took him on, and it was clear he was very happy in their care. Highly recommend!”

“Gail is amazing! My 2.5-year-old husky came back happy, well cared for, and completely tired out after his stay. It was clear that her entire family helped take care of him, not just Gail, which made me feel even more comfortable leaving him there. She provided regular photo updates and communicated very well throughout the stay. I would 100% recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and reliable dog sitter.”

“We reached out to Claudia to watch our dog Arthur last minute after our usual sitter had to back out. Claudia was quick to respond and easy to work with. We really appreciated the updates and videos we received during his time there as it put us at ease. Arthur had a great time and we will not hesitate to use Claudia again next time we need a sitter.”

“Jason is the absolute best! We started with a meet and greet and right away. It was apparent he was a competent, responsible, loving dog owner. He welcomed my high energy puppy, Bo, with open arms. Bo boarded with Jayson for six days and I got daily photos and messages of all the fun things they were doing. I knew Bo was in amazing hands so I was able to have a relaxing and stress-free trip. I won’t hesitate to book with Jayson again!”

“We are so happy to have found Magno & Patricia to look after Solo this weekend. It was her first time away from us after a severe illness, and they put our minds at ease with lots of photos and updates when her medication was administered. Solo came home happy and well cared for. Magno & Patricia, we hope you can be our regular sitters for Solo!”

“Charlie had his first stay with Donna last weekend. He had a fantastic time playing with Lucy, Donna’s dog. I got updates on how he’s doing as I asked for them and I could tell that Donna sincerely cared about him and wanted him to feel at home. He adored her daughter too and was her constant companion. Charlie will definitely be back!”

“We had a wonderful experience with Jasmeet. Both she and her husband cared for our senior dog with kindness and patience. It gave us peace of mind while we were away. It’s clear he was treated with lots of love. We would not hesitate to book again and recommend this sitter.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Stratford
Easiest and most lovely Rover experience I’ve had. Tieja is very responsive, has a lovely place for dogs. My dog was the most relaxed he’s been in his 9 years when we picked him up. Tieja also took care of my dad’s nervous dog and gave him lots of extra TLC. Absolutely will be returning!

It was our first time leaving Bella with a boarding service and we are very happy with the results. Dallas was great with Bella. They got along fantastic. We could could tell as Bella was excited and happy to start her time with Dallas after her first visit. We had a great trip knowing that Bella was secure with Dallas. Thank you
5 stars isn't enough for Maria. What was suppose to be a simple few days while we went on vacation quickly turned out to be anything but. right before we were to leave we discovered Ellie had a brain Tumor and needed alot of extra care.. We gave Maria the chance to back out as that's not what was originally discussed.. and she didn't.. she was up for the challenge. Simply Amazing.. thank you so much for taking care of our girl for us.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
