20-Something Needs Puppy Time
Family friends have gladly left their dog repeatedly with me to care for (up to 4 or 5 nights). When I was younger, I walked the neighbour’s dog a few times a week. I also have a regular visitor who stays at the house during the day when her mama is busy. I have participated in Trusted Housesitters for two elderly dogs, you can read the review below. "Maria and Max were very considerate with our doggies they are both elderly and they were careful about not leaving them on their own to long . Maria looked after our newly planted garden and kept everything well watered ready for our return . Thank you for looking after our beautiful doggies and keeping them both entertained and fed . The house was nice and tidy on our return and would recommend you you both to others."

5 stars isn't enough for Maria. What was suppose to be a simple few days while we went on vacation quickly turned out to be anything but. right before we were to leave we discovered Ellie had a brain Tumor and needed alot of extra care.. We gave Maria the chance to back out as that's not what was originally discussed.. and she didn't.. she was up for the challenge. Simply Amazing.. thank you so much for taking care of our girl for us.
Maria was very accommodating to take Orly fairly last minute. She was quick to identify and communicate regarding an inflammed ear so I was able to get a vet appointment. Orly seemed very content.
Our animals adore Maria and we appreciate not only the love she gives the pet - but her diligence and great care of our home.

I am a recent graduate with a flexible schedule who has moved back home for the year. I won't be home 4-7 Monday through Friday, but there will be people around to help out if needed.

My home: - no other dogs to worry about conflict - 3 other adults in the home (sister and parents) - backyard with a stake so the dog can have free range - lovely, safe neighbourhood to take walks in Your home: - I will make sure to keep the dog in their normal routine - leave everything tidy and the way I found it (the chewed up cushions were the dog, I swear…) - I am a relaxed and easy-going person, comfortable in someone else’s home but also respectful of your space Both: - Follow instructions given intently and purposefully - Will call in case of emergency, and health concerns, I will take them directly to the vet clinic if possible - Have a blast with your dog- I promise they will be happier after hanging out with me:))
A typical day
My neighbourhood I safe and quiet which is ideal for walks. There are also lots of dogs around so making friends is a given! Walks around the river are necessary, and snuggling up all cozy at night is also an activity I enjoy sharing with dogs.

- *PLEASE NOTE: I am severely allergic to cats, and therefore unable to stay in a home where a cat lives, even if it is not around at the time. I don’t have much experience with dogs that have higher needs eg. medication or special needs. However I am more than willing to learn, and pick up on things fast. So be sure to let me know what specific needs I may need to account for! It is important that they are a friendly dog and can be comfortable around more than one person.
