About: I had two rescues, aussie mix and pit mix, for 16yrs and a massively fluffy cat for 18yrs that ruled them. Enjoyed going for walks, camping and not ready to get new pets but would enjoy a having a dog to go on walks with again. I have a flexible schedule, so can fit in walks and play. Weekends we tend to go camping but have a permanent site that is dog friendly and a great place to explore. No pets, yard is not fenced so outside time would be leashed and supervised. If your dog has a favourite toy of dog bed plenty of room to enjoy. I live in a quiet small town with lovely walking paths.

Will book again on my next shift!”

“She cared for Nia with the same love and attention one would give to their own dog. Throughout her time with Nia, Melanie consistently kept us updated on her activities, which gave us peace of mind and confidence in the quality of care being provided. Melanie is exceptionally kind, has a natural love for dogs, and communicates with ease and clarity. Her professionalism, reliability, and genuine compassion make her an outstanding caregiver. I highly recommend Melanie to anyone seeking someone trustworthy and dedicated to the well-being of their pets.”

About: Animals have been a huge part of my life from day one. I’ve spent 25 years caring for pets, from playful puppies and curious kittens to senior dogs and cats needing meds and extra TLC. I’ve had both large and small dog breeds, and I’m confident handling everything from daily walks to administering medications and sticking to routines. I’ve also cared for cats of all ages, including grooming, litter box upkeep, and giving oral meds. On top of that, I grew up around horses and even had two of my own, so I’m comfortable around animals big and small. I treat every pet like family and make sure they feel safe, loved, and happy while you’re away. My life truly revolves around animals, they’re a top priority in my daily routine. I'm used to planning my day around feeding schedules, playtime, walks, and medication when needed. Pet care isn’t something I squeeze in, it’s something I genuinely love and make space for. Whether it’s early mornings or evening check-ins, I’m flexible and committed to making sure your pets get the attention and care they deserve. At my home, pets have plenty of space to roam and play. I live on an acreage with an underground fence, so dogs get lots of safe outdoor time. I share my home with 3 friendly dogs and 4 cats, so your pet will be part of a loving, animal-friendly environment. We have kennels available for pets who are crate-trained or need their own space, as well as quiet areas for pets who prefer a calm, low-energy setting. I’m also happy to care for pets in their own home, offering visits, walks, litter box cleaning, playtime, and lots of love. I can easily adapt to whatever your pet needs to feel safe and comfortable.
“Bibiana and Cesar have been great with our girl, Ziva. We had a last minute request for 3 days of daycare and they were available. Ziva took to them quickly and they enjoyed Ziva. We would definitely book with them again.”

“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Arissa took such wonderful care of Jax! He’s always so excited to see her and sad to say goodbye. She was warm, attentive, and made him feel right at home- to the point where he barely noticed I arrived because he was too busy having fun and playing with toys. I’d absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for loving, reliable pet care.”

“Pamela is a great communicator. She let me know she also had another dog that day to give me an option to find someone else. We went to the Canadian Human Rights Museum just 5 minutes away. We were very happy to have a safe place for our dog as we were travelling across Canada.”

About: Dogs are my life ♥️ I’ve worked professionally with dogs for over 13 years, but I’ve been dog obsessed since I was a little kid and have never been without a dog (or two or three) in my life. I currently own three very loved and very spoiled dogs, and I promise that your dog will be loved and cared for like they were one of my own 🐾 -BOARDING UPDATE- I am excited to now offer boarding !! When your pup stays with me, they're treated like family. I provide a clean, safe, and comfortable environment where your dog(s) can relax and feel at home. Our property features a spacious yard, perfect for playtime, exercise, and fresh air. So if your dog loves to run, explore, or simply lounge in the sun, they'll have plenty of room to enjoy themselves. I pride myself on offering a loving and caring environment, giving every guest the attention, affection, and companionship they deserve. To make sure each dog feels secure and stress-free, I only book a limited number of dogs at a time. And because I know how much you'll miss your dog(s), I provide regular updates with pictures and videos so you can see how happy and well cared for they are during their stay. 🐾 My schedule and availability is flexible, so we can find the perfect day and time that will work best for you and your dog(s) ! Sometimes life is busy, and there just aren’t enough hours in the day, so having someone stop by and let the dogs out for a bathroom break, feed them, give them medication, or take them for a walk is needed. Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Stonewall commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MB ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines such as the DHPP or DA2PP, Rabies, and Bordetella.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
