About: I had two rescues, aussie mix and pit mix, for 16yrs and a massively fluffy cat for 18yrs that ruled them. Enjoyed going for walks, camping and not ready to get new pets but would enjoy a having a dog to go on walks with again. I have a flexible schedule, so can fit in walks and play. Weekends we tend to go camping but have a permanent site that is dog friendly and a great place to explore. No pets, yard is not fenced so outside time would be leashed and supervised. If your dog has a favourite toy of dog bed plenty of room to enjoy. I live in a quiet small town with lovely walking paths.

Amazing walker. Went so out of her way ON HER FIRST DAY when I had an emergency come up and took my dog overnight on no notice. Totally undersells herself. She is worth 100x the fees she offers. She's also spending all her extra money into starting her own rescue. You know her heart is really in the right place and wants to help save as many furry lives as possible. Cannot say more positive things about this gal. Would never want to use anyone else.

About: Animals have been a huge part of my life from day one. I’ve spent 25 years caring for pets, from playful puppies and curious kittens to senior dogs and cats needing meds and extra TLC. I’ve had both large and small dog breeds, and I’m confident handling everything from daily walks to administering medications and sticking to routines. I’ve also cared for cats of all ages, including grooming, litter box upkeep, and giving oral meds. On top of that, I grew up around horses and even had two of my own, so I’m comfortable around animals big and small. I treat every pet like family and make sure they feel safe, loved, and happy while you’re away. My life truly revolves around animals, they’re a top priority in my daily routine. I'm used to planning my day around feeding schedules, playtime, walks, and medication when needed. Pet care isn’t something I squeeze in, it’s something I genuinely love and make space for. Whether it’s early mornings or evening check-ins, I’m flexible and committed to making sure your pets get the attention and care they deserve. At my home, pets have plenty of space to roam and play. I live on an acreage with an underground fence, so dogs get lots of safe outdoor time. I share my home with 3 friendly dogs and 4 cats, so your pet will be part of a loving, animal-friendly environment. We have kennels available for pets who are crate-trained or need their own space, as well as quiet areas for pets who prefer a calm, low-energy setting. I’m also happy to care for pets in their own home, offering visits, walks, litter box cleaning, playtime, and lots of love. I can easily adapt to whatever your pet needs to feel safe and comfortable.

Bentley enjoys his walks with Holly. He was immediately comfortable to walk with her when meeting her the first time. She had the right questions regarding his care, which put me at ease to leave my dog in her care. Will definitely book again

As a first time user, we were super hesitant to let someone walk our little puppy. Brittany has made us feel comfortable trusting someone else to take our little girl out for a walk. I would definitely recommend.

About: My name is Julia and I have been dog and cat sitting for over 7 years and have owned multiple pets. I love animals, and have a chihuahua, papillon and husky! My husky is 2 years old and we’re always out for walks, playing at the park and training. I am always mindful of space, mood and boundaries when interacting with any animal I am caring for. I have been a pet sitter for the past 7 years because I love meeting new animals and genuinely enjoy being around & caring for them. I would love to meet you and your pet (even though they really are family)! I am available for pet sitting and drop visits. I have a flexible schedule at the moment and am able to accommodate outside of already booked times I am always mindful of gates and fences / doors when letting animals outside. Making sure that doors and gates are closed as well as any escape holes covered. I am checking on the animals periodically throughout the day. I typically crate my large dog at bed time and let the two little ones sleep in bed with me.

I currently have three cats (one senior) and have experience with puppies and senior dogs. 🐶🐈‍⬛ I currently work home full time Monday to Friday 8-4:30. I am always home during the weekends as well. I have a very flexible schedule and can be with your pet all the time and give it all of the love and attention they need and deserve. My home is a very clean, organized and safe place. I have three cats who love dogs. Two of them are four years old and the other one is 11. They are all in great health condition, are fixed and have all their vaccines. We recently had our senior dog pass away and they all got along great. As long as your dog is cat friendly there won’t be an issue.

About: I grew up surrounded by many animals and have always been passionate for raising and caring for them. I have lots of experience of handling dogs of all different breeds/sizes/ages because I often dog sit for family and friends. I still live with my family so our dogs get full attention around the clock. We all work different schedules so our dogs often get multiple walks a day which they love! We really prioritize their health and well-being so we try to walk them as much as possible. We don’t have a fenced yard but live on 7 acres of forested land and don’t live anywhere near busy roads or highways. Lots of room for dogs to roam and play if you considered doggie day care at our house. I do short shift work so if client needs me to care for dog in their own home I would definitely be able too! Love going for walks to so your dog would definitely get it’s exercise!

About: I truly love getting to know each dog's unique personality and making sure they feel safe, happy, and loved in my care. I have experience with dogs of all ages, including seniors who need medication or extra support. I also enjoy working with puppies, using patience and positive reinforcement to help them learn good habits and build confidence. My weekends are completely free, allowing me to provide dedicated care and attention. Additionally, I have many holidays available for full-time stays, and I’m especially flexible during the summer as i have the full summer off. This schedule lets me ensure your pets receive the care and companionship they need, while also allowing for regular updates and quality interaction throughout the day. I focus on creating a positive and engaging atmosphere, offering playtime, affection, and mental stimulation to keep them happy. Communication is key, so I provide regular updates and photos to keep you informed while you’re away!! Your pet’s happiness and well-being are my top priorities! About: I have worked a lot with puppies. In obedience training using positive reinforcement only! I can handle big and small dogs and will make sure my pup gets along with yours before walking them together. However she gets along with most dogs. I spend most of my days making sure my girl has lots of exercise. She LOVES other dogs and is a very submissive playful girl. This is the main reason for my downloading this app. My dog needs friends. Haha! My pup will keep your pup company and there will be lots of trail walks if it’s suits your pup. Whatever your pups needs really. I’m a firm believer in allowing dogs to have “their time” if they want to sniff, they can sniff, or if they want to play or swim. This is their time to find their happy place. Of course with supervision.

About: I have had dogs and cats since I was a young age. I have taken care of both animals for family and friends, such as walking and pet sitting. I currently have a full time job, I would be able to walk in the morning or evening depending on my work schedule. If it were to be a dog sitting position I would prefer to stay in the home. If not I will make sure to get there first thing in the morning and go after work to spend time with your animal. Currently my apartment does not allow animals in the building. In that case I could come to your house and if you don’t have a fenced in yard I will ensure a leash is always on your pet while walking and playing outside. Also I would want to do a meet and greet before I start sitting to ensure your dog is comfortable with me!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Stonewall choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:

  • 83% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 100% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
