About: With over 25 years of being a proud pet owner (and three years fostering dogs and puppies!), I’ve seen it all! Shy pups, big personalities and everything in between. I understand how to make pets feel safe, happy, and loved, so you can feel totally at ease while they’re in my care. Pet care fits perfectly into my routine because I’m self-employed and able to be flexible with my schedule. I work part-time in the office on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and I’m home on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and every weekend! I have plenty of time, attention, and love to give your best friend when you need it most 🐾 Whether in my home or yours, I care for pets like they’re part of my own family. I follow their usual routines as closely as possible! Feeding, walks, playtime, and plenty of comfort and attention ensuring they feel safe, relaxed, and right at home no matter where they are.

About: I’ve taken care of all types of dogs all ages for over 15 years! From Great Danes to Miniature Pinchers, neighbours, community members and friends have trusted and relied on me in many instances to walk, feed, bathe, give special medications such as eye drops and in some cases even mixed up food blends to support their dietary needs while the owners are out of town! This ranges from all ages to formula feeding neglected puppies to carrying large elderly dogs down steps to properly use the bathroom. I’m currently working seasonally being an early riser I seem to have plenty of time on my hands! My schedule is very flexible and workable, I’m always open to communication! I always ensure water and doggie bags are with at all times during walks. I can easily assess when the dog is aggravated, I’ve worked many distracted and aggressive dogs while walking and have always descalted the situation before a problem began. My personal yard is not fenced in, however I do have a an acre of land with a leash attached to the garage foundation for a safe sturdy connection. (leash reaches indoors so no chance of puppies getting loose!)

About: Hello! My name is Hadas and I am a dedicated pet sitter and dog walker based in Winnipeg. I am 26 years old and work full time from home during the week so my schedule is flexible. I have a passion for caring for animals, and I specialize in providing services for both cats and dogs. I am a big animal lover. I currently have three cats (one senior) and have experience with puppies and senior dogs. 🐶🐈‍⬛ I currently work home full time Monday to Friday 8-4:30. I am always home during the weekends as well. I have a very flexible schedule and can be with your pet all the time and give it all of the love and attention they need and deserve. My home is a very clean, organized and safe place. I have three cats who love dogs. Two of them are four years old and the other one is 11. They are all in great health condition, are fixed and have all their vaccines. We recently had our senior dog pass away and they all got along great. As long as your dog is cat friendly there won’t be an issue.

About: I truly love getting to know each dog's unique personality and making sure they feel safe, happy, and loved in my care. I have experience with dogs of all ages, including seniors who need medication or extra support. I also enjoy working with puppies, using patience and positive reinforcement to help them learn good habits and build confidence. My goal is always to care for every pet as if they were my own. ❤️ I currently work full-time but have a long enough lunch break to check in on pets as needed. My weekends are completely free, allowing me to provide dedicated care and attention. Additionally, I have many holidays available for full-time stays, and I’m especially flexible during the summer as i have the full summer off. This schedule lets me ensure your pets receive the care and companionship they need, while also allowing for regular updates and quality interaction throughout the day. I focus on creating a positive and engaging atmosphere, offering playtime, affection, and mental stimulation to keep them happy. Communication is key, so I provide regular updates and photos to keep you informed while you’re away!! Your pet’s happiness and well-being are my top priorities! I also am happy to attend to other needs of the home upon request, watering plants ect

About: I have worked a lot with puppies. In obedience training using positive reinforcement only! I can handle big and small dogs and will make sure my pup gets along with yours before walking them together. However she gets along with most dogs. I spend most of my days making sure my girl has lots of exercise. She LOVES other dogs and is a very submissive playful girl. This is the main reason for my downloading this app. My dog needs friends. Haha! My pup will keep your pup company and there will be lots of trail walks if it’s suits your pup. Whatever your pups needs really. I’m a firm believer in allowing dogs to have “their time” if they want to sniff, they can sniff, or if they want to play or swim. This is their time to find their happy place. Of course with supervision.

About: My name is Julia and I have been dog and cat sitting for over 7 years and have owned multiple pets. I love animals, and have a chihuahua, papillon and husky! My husky is 2 years old and we’re always out for walks, playing at the park and training. I am always mindful of space, mood and boundaries when interacting with any animal I am caring for. I have been a pet sitter for the past 7 years because I love meeting new animals and genuinely enjoy being around & caring for them. I would love to meet you and your pet (even though they really are family)! I am available for pet sitting and drop visits. I have a flexible schedule at the moment and am able to accommodate outside of already booked times I am always mindful of gates and fences / doors when letting animals outside. Making sure that doors and gates are closed as well as any escape holes covered. I am checking on the animals periodically throughout the day. If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Niverville choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:

  • 82% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 100% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
