I usually keep my boy Patch at home in Berens with a sitter - he is a playful country boy and a big suck who likes his routines - but everyone was busy. I found Dorotea on River, and she was wonderful from the start. She had me bring Patch and myself in so she could get to know the both of us, learn his routines, and make sure he was comfortable in her home before I left. That meant a lot to me. She kept me well informed with updates and pictures, which gave me real peace of mind while I was away. She gave Patch all the love and attention he deserves, and then some. It’s clear she truly loves animals. I was half joking that Patch might not want to come home with me. This experience allowed me to enjoy my time away without worrying or feeling guilty, because I knew he was in excellent hands. About: I have had my own pets since I was a kid and as I got older I got involved in rescue! I lived in the north for 6 years and rescued over 80 dogs while I was there :) I have fostered and cared for dogs of all ages, my own dogs are very used to having friends and they love it :) I current work full-time during the week and am able to board dogs on weekends. During the week I am able to walk dogs and do home visits to let doggos out to pee. I have a fully-fenced yard as well as a 5 acre property and lots of space indoors as well if I am boarding your pet.

She did a meet and greet previous the boarding which helped me and my husband to feel comfortable, and our doggies just fell in love of her and her beautiful family. I’ll always recommend her for her professionalism and the heart she puts into caring for animals. As long as she is able to, she will be our forever go to petsitter 😊”

“Our experience with Stacey was flawless. It was our first time boarding our dog, and it all came together last minute. Stacey replied super quickly and gave such a great first impression that we immediately felt comfortable sending our pup to her for three nights. You can tell right away how much she loves dogs and how experienced she is. She connected with Juniper instantly and treated her like her own. Stacey sent tons of photos and videos, so I got to see the adventures Juniper was having on her huge, fenced property and hanging out with a couple of new pup friends. I can’t compare her to other boarding places since this was our first time, but honestly, I feel like what she offers is truly wonderful. If you’re looking for a safe place where your dog will get to spend lots of time outdoors being active and then have a cozy dog bed to sleep on to recharge- then look no further. I’d recommend Stacey in a heartbeat- and will undoubtedly have Juniper go back to stay again.”
“Leaving your dog with someone can be nerve-wracking, but after Kendall and her family watched Stanley, every bit of anxiety I had completely disappeared. I felt so blessed knowing Stanley was in such a beautiful, loving home where he was truly treated like part of their own family. Kendall is incredible with young pups and all types of dogs, making sure every pet feels completely comfortable and cherished. They went so far above and beyond—taking Stanley to the lake, introducing him to her extended family, and letting him play to his heart's content with the other dogs. Stanley was in absolute heaven! The moment I knew just how much love he felt was when Kendall shared that Stanley slept right on her pillow, exactly like he does with me at home. On top of all that, Kendall kept me connected with daily texts, photos, and video updates; my heart was filled with so much love and gratitude every time a message popped up. Kendall and her family are remarkable, and I cannot recommend her highly enough to anyone looking for extraordinary care for their dog.”

About: Located in beautiful Wolseley, but can travel nearby. I am Fear Free Shelter certified and I volunteer with two animal shelters. I have completed all required training to understand body language, temperament and behaviour and can connect with both friendly and timid dogs. We foster dogs, and have lots of experience with shy or injury-recovering ones who need special attention. Our own dog is a beautiful shepherd who we rescued from a shelter in Morden and we have had the absolute privilege of watching her learn the world isn't so scary. Our second is a little French bulldog who we foster-failed and decided to keep. I love all dogs and would love to spend time with yours! I work full time, but my schedule is flexible. I work from home Monday and Thursday and can pop over to hang out during the day, and am free every day after 4:30. My weekends are usually wide open as well. We have a fenced yard, and one of us is home Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays so the only time our animals are alone all day are Tuesday-Wednesday. We love to walk and have two dogs and a cat who all love other animals. We have foster animals here often so they are used to revolving animals in the house. Our frenchie is a little excitable at first which can freak some dogs out, but he settles down within an hour and then acts like nothing has changed.
“I couldn’t have asked for better care for Rex. She went above and beyond while watching him, especially when he wasn’t feeling well. She kept me updated throughout his stay, made sure he ate, gave him his probiotics, and even bathed him after he got sick. I really appreciated her communication and how closely she monitored him. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing he was in such caring and capable hands. Rex came home happy, and it’s clear he was treated like family. I would absolutely trust her with him again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, compassionate pet sitter.”
“Amanda and her two kids took fantastic care of our 4 year old Maltipoo. Right from the time of booking I felt good about leaving our pup with them. We have a very anxious dog who is super nervous and I truly felt like he couldn’t really be in a better space if we had to leave him with someone ☺️ We got daily updates and pictures of his stay which gave us even more reassurance that he was in great care. Highly recommend Amanda and we would definitely rebook when we are back in Winnipeg!”
