“We were very glad that Pratheeksha and Nilaykumar could come in for home visits with our cat. This is the second time we’ve had them take care of our cat while we were away. It’s good to know that our 17 year old cat is being well taken care of . They even play with him.”

“Tannis was responsive with communications and left details messages and pics for us regarding her check ins and walks with our dog. She was accomodating with bookings. I wouldn't hesitate to hire her again. Thanks Tannis!”

“Eric is amazing. Accountable and reliable. My two cats were in good hands, even though my Siamese has dietary difficulties. They were happy and doing well when I got back last night. I got photos every day at every visit. I would book again in a heartbeat.”

About: I've always loved animals. I have a psych degree, and learning about positive re-enforcement and and training pets to do tricks is my favourite thing. I'm self employed so my schedule is flexible. I am also nomadic, so I'm happy to travel to a new place to care for a pet, and be somewhere new I take time to get to know each animal, their wants and needs, and most importantly, their personalities. My goal is to make any separation from their persons as easy as possible
“This is the second time Charmaine watched my cat and she’s fantastic. He’s an older cat and needs pills twice a day at specific times, and she’s always on time, and very communicative with great updates. I feel very comfortable leaving my cat in her care and definitely recommend!”

About: I have had pets my whole life! As well have taken care of pets for family and friends, I am able to administer insulin to cats as my brothers is diabetic and I have been providing this care when he needs it! I have also dealt with my fair share of super nervous pets, who take a little bit of time to trust but always end up the sweetest. I am a full time worker, with 2 set days off that I am able to use to care for pets. I am also able to attend to pets after I finish work. Pets, belly rubs, ear and chin scritches. Taking them for walks, or just playing with them. Lots of pet cuddles as some require lots of affection
“Cassidy was the right pick for me! She was great at getting to know my kitty and picked up how to best greet and engage faster than sitters I’ve had in the past. Appreciate you!”

About: I groom, sit and walk dogs professionally, which is nice because grooming clients that come to me for sitting are already comfortable with me and my place. I am fit enough to handle big dogs, and gentle enough to make anxious dogs feel safe. I don't have any pets of my own in the house (I get all my dog cuddles from my furry clients). As a self-employed dog groomer, my schedule is whatever I make it. Generally, people want grooming services on weekends, and walking during weekdays, so those dovetail nicely. I have a house with a fenced yard and no other occupants, human nor critter, so the dogs get my undivided attention and a quiet, peaceful environment. Half a block from the park excellent walking trails with lots of smells.
About: I’ve got 5+ years of experience caring for dogs and genuinely love animals. I focus on giving each pet safe, attentive, and personalized care so they’re happy and well-exercised. Pet care is already part of my daily routine since I’ve been taking care of my own dog for 5+ years. I make sure walks, playtime, and feeding are all done on time and naturally fit into my day. At my home, I make sure pets feel safe and comfortable with space to play, regular meals, and fun activities. I keep things clean and follow any specific care instructions closely when I’m at a client’s home too.
“Sofia was reliable and took great care of our cats while we were away. She came twice a day to give our diabetic cat his insulin and would send photos of the cats while she played with them. Would love to have Sofia feed and check in on the cats again when we go away. Thanks Sofia!”

“Aja, did a great job. She was super reliable and took very good care of our cat Lilly. We were abroad for two weeks and were always kept up to date. We would definitely recommend her and will book her again next time.”

About: I grew up around animals my whole life which includes dogs and cats, but also lizards, fish and horses. I currently live with 2 cats (one of whom will shower love on any being who comes into our home and the other will ensure to watch you from her favourite spot under the blankets). We would love to have weekend visitors as I work during the week. I work Monday to Friday which leaves me to focus on animals on weekends. If a pet were to stay during the week, morning/after work and maybe during lunch are when I'd be available for pet care. Due to high demand for medication administration, there will an extra $5 for day 1-4 and 5+ days will be an extra $10. I have a fully fenced back yard and I do a lot of yard work and play outside with animals as the back yard is a good size! My home is pet friendly with furniture being fair game. As I have pets who like get into everything, the house is pet proof. I also have a baby gate (I'm also an auntie who has kids come and visit) which can help keep pets apart if needed. I also live right across the street from a park for nice walks!
About: I have taken care of animals for the past few years now. I have helped friends and family with whatever they need for their pet.I have bathed both cats and dogs, taken dogs on walks, cleaned litter boxes and ect. I do want to expand more on my expertise on taking care of pets as I go. I currently am working part-time, although I will have plently of time to take care of your pet whenever I don't have work or when I get off of work. I currently live in an apartment with no backyard,so I wouldn't be able to take care of your pup at my home.Although I would be sure to commute to your home as needed. As for cats I would be able to take care of them at either your home or mine.
“Tori looked after our two cats, Coco and Wilson, and we couldn’t be happier. She responded quickly to my initial request, and her communication was amazing throughout. Tori came over for a meet-and-greet beforehand, which really put me at ease and made me feel confident about their care while we were away. She sent photos every day, and it was clear they were enjoying her company! When we got home, they were happy to see us—but they were also calm and relaxed, which tells me they were truly well cared for.”

“Used Sarah a few times in the past to look after animals. She cares deeply about our animals and has great availability. My family is very grateful we can leave for the day or weekend with peace of mind our animals are safe at home.”
About: I have taken care of pets for as long as I can remember really. I love being around animals all the time, so any pet in my care will never feel lonely. I have taken care of puppies before so I am no stranger to the extra care for them. I love any type of dog from big to small, and I love all other animals as well. I am currently a University student with a full class schedule and a part time job at a vet clinic. I can be there to take care of pets when I'm not in class and not at work. I only have an average of 3 shifts a week and can accommodate for your pet. I am able to have some free time to get any animals in my care what they need. I am available to spend nights in your home with your pets, or stop in for visits with them. I am usually free on Sundays and can be around all day for your pets. I am able to learn anything needed in order to care for your pet in your home. I am no stranger to crating dogs, or giving them the excersise they need. I am good at following instructions, so I can care for your pet in any way they need.
About: Hi, name is Michelle! I have a passion for animals of all types! I was in the pet industry for over 4 years caring for many different types of reptiles, all small animals, birds, fish, cats, dogs, you name it! I love every critter out there and treat each one likes it’s my own. If you need someone to look after your pet, take it for a walk or even just check in while you’re away or at work I’m your girl! I also have a lot of experience with administering medication and watching pets with special care. I’m reliable for you and patient with your pets. Im excited to cuddle them, love them and take care of them for you. A house is not a home without a pet🤍 I work in real estate with my husband so my schedule is very flexible and I do most of my job from my computer so I have ample time to spend with your furry friends. Although I had to technically select that I live in an apartment I actually live on the main level of a warehouse condo with private access, a yard and a garage!

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Regina
Julia was fantastic! She jumped in last minute because of a medical emergency situation and looked after our two dog and our cat with joy, care, and thoroughness. She was genuinely empathetic about our situation, and was very accommodating. She even suggested and offered ways of caring for the dogs that I hadn't thought of. We are so grateful and appreciative of her intelligent and attentive to the care of our fur babies. 100% reliable!

Whether you’re planning ahead for holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day coverage for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.
Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

Whether you’re at the office for the day or travelling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer poop breaks during a Regina stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover based on what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.
You can coordinate how much supervision you want directly with your sitter. While every sitter’s schedule varies, here are some examples of supervision by pet care service:
- Boarding or doggy day care: Many sitters can provide frequent companionship because they design their day specifically around the pets in their care or work from home.
- House sitting: Your sitter generally stays in your home for the requested duration, which may include overnight care. They may step out briefly to visit other pet clients, but your home remains their primary base.
- Drop-in visits or dog walking: These can be scheduled in 30- or 60-minute windows (and can be shorter or longer at your request) to help your pet receive dedicated attention and care during those specific times.
Interested in constant or 24/7 care? This service often incurs an additional fee but many sitters are happy to discuss this option with you.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Regina choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a veterinary professional or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
