Patricia was great. Very responsive and communicative. Our two cats were not nearly as anxious, loud or touchy when we came home as the last time we left them, and this was the longest we've ever left them for (~2 weeks). So I think they must have really liked Patricia and felt very comfortable with her. 10/10 would have her look after them again and would recommend to friends and family.

About: I grew up with dogs and have pet sat off and on all my life. I've always enjoyed caring for and especially training my dogs. My boy, Picket, is 2 years old, so I'm coming to Rover as a deeply caring pet owner with fresh training under my belt. In fact, not too long ago our family was looking for a sitter and couldn't find someone local to Moose Jaw who was both available and affordable. This experience sparked a desire in me to offer pet-sitting services. I work part time from home and have lots of flexibility throughout the day to spend time with your pup. They'll also have a low key bud in our dog, Picket. I have a friendly Bernadoodle named Picket who is low key with older dogs (we had a 12 year old boy here recently), or ready to play with younger ones. Everyone in the home is an animal lover and attentive. We have an expansive fenced in backyard for roaming, potty breaks, and play. That being said, even backyard play will be monitored. We also love walks. I have been in your shoes before - seeking a pet sitter for an upcoming trip and hoping to find someone who will care for my dog to a degree that will bring me peace of mind while we're away. I get it. I'm that person for you.

About: I've had cats and dogs my whole life, I can definitely pop in to check on them while you are away or at work! No problem 😊 I run my own buisness and am a mom of 2. I grew up with lots of animals. Dogs, cats, birds, fish so I have lots of experience. I have some pockets in my day where I can fit this in while you are away😊 So at this time I'm not offering pet care in my own home. Just a check in type service in the pets home. Thank you!

About: Hello! Nice to meet you, I'm Jade. I am looking to help out with your pets. I am 22 years old, Ive lived in Medicine Hat for Four years. I know how important it is for puppies and bigger breeds to get excersise, and potty breaks during the day. You need someone to visit them when you are at work or away. I have taken part in raising two of our family dogs, and I have lived with 4 other dogs before. I have high stamina, so when it comes to walking dogs, im a pro! no walk's too long, no fire hydrants gonna stop me! Big dogs are my favourite because they can run, and give hugs! All pets are awesome, I think that Pets are cooler than people. My next dream Pet is a guinea pig. I am currently on disability so i have plenty of time this summer to look after cats and dogs. Ill have less time when i get a summer job. But ill still be available some days of the week I drop by use the owners keys to let myself in. I asses food and water bowls and offer to play with the pet then if its a dog take him out to pee/walk

About: I have had pets my whole life! As well have taken care of pets for family and friends, I am able to administer insulin to cats as my brothers is diabetic and I have been providing this care when he needs it! I have also dealt with my fair share of super nervous pets, who take a little bit of time to trust but always end up the sweetest. I am a full time worker, with 2 set days off that I am able to use to care for pets. I am also able to attend to pets after I finish work. Pets, belly rubs, ear and chin scritches. Taking them for walks, or just playing with them. Lots of pet cuddles as some require lots of affection

About: I've always loved animals. I have a psych degree, and learning about positive re-enforcement and and training pets to do tricks is my favourite thing. I'm self employed so my schedule is flexible. I am also nomadic, so i'm happy to travel to a new place to care for a pet, and be somewhere new I take time to get to know each animal, their wants and needs, and most importantly, their personalities. My goal is to nake any separation from their persins as easy as possible

Carly looked after our three cats for two weeks while we were away for holidays and we couldn't have had a better sitter! It was the longest and furthest we've been away from our cats so we were very nervous but Carly put our minds at ease. She gave detailed updates every day with lots of pictures and went above and beyond taking care of our house and even getting the cats some toys to play with. Her kids are super sweet and well behaved, great with the cats and very respectful. Our flights were delayed coming home and Carly was more than happy to check on the cats for an extra day last minute. She kept the cats company for 30-60 minutes every day making sure they got lots of love! We definitely recommend Carly and will book with her again when we travel next!

There are 38 sitters on Rover for Pet Sitting in Moose Jaw. About 94% of Moose Jaw sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you’re planning ahead for holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day coverage for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

A pet sitter can provide focused care sessions, help your pet’s routine stay on track, or keep you updated on your pet’s mood and energy levels.

Whether you’re at the office for the day or travelling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer poop breaks during a Moose Jaw stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.

Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover based on what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

You can coordinate how much supervision you want directly with your sitter. While every sitter’s schedule varies, here are some examples of supervision by pet care service:

  • Boarding or doggy day care: Many sitters can provide frequent companionship because they design their day specifically around the pets in their care or work from home.
  • House sitting: Your sitter generally stays in your home for the requested duration, which may include overnight care. They may step out briefly to visit other pet clients, but your home remains their primary base.
  • Drop-in visits or dog walking: These can be scheduled in 30- or 60-minute windows (and can be shorter or longer at your request) to help your pet receive dedicated attention and care during those specific times.

Interested in constant or 24/7 care? This service often incurs an additional fee but many sitters are happy to discuss this option with you.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Moose Jaw choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a veterinary professional or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
