“Chantelle was great! She was very friendly and considerate. My cats who are normally very shy warmed up to her easily. She was on time and she took care of my cats well.”

About: I have been caring for animals for the vast majority of my life, whether my own pets, or those of family and friends. I started working as a professional pet sitter/dog walker last year, and I have never loved a job so much! I have a special place in my heart for animals of all kinds, and it makes my day to befriend any and all animals that I can. I am completely comfortable caring for dogs, cats, birds, bunnies and more, but cats are my specialty. Even the grumpiest of pets become my friends eventually, and I'm happy to put in the time and effort required to show your fur-babies that they can trust me completely. Everyone who knows me calls me the Cat Whisperer, and it is an absolute joy making new furry friends. I am currently working full-time as a pet sitter, and I also run a small online business and work as a makeup artist in my free time. I have a partially fenced backyard, and a roomy home with lots of space for your pets to lounge and play. I have a four-year-old cat who is very friendly with other animals, and lots of scratching posts and toys. I follow instructions easily, and have experience administering medications or special diets as well.
“Tannis was responsive with communications and left details messages and pics for us regarding her check ins and walks with our dog. She was accomodating with bookings. I wouldn't hesitate to hire her again. Thanks Tannis!”

“Eva took great care of my cat for 8 days. She was very communicative, updating me on the cat's condition if she observed something was off. Very cute pictures daily too! Would love to book with her in the future 😊”

About: I have grown up around cats and dogs since I was a baby. I started pet sitting six years ago and have done stays for up to three months as well cared for a cat with asthma who needed a puffer! I would love to connect with you, and your pet! I’m currently working part time as well as a nursing student at the UofR. I also am currently training for a marathon so being active is a huge part of my life. I am home a lot and have a lot of free time! I always will have eyes on your pets and ensure that they are well cared for within your home. I love playing with animals and will ensure they always have food, water, and time outside.
“We are so pleased with Nilay and Prathehshs’s care of Squeak. They sent wonderful comments, photos and even a video of Squeaker playing. We would recommend them to anyone looking for a pet sitter.”

“Eric is amazing. Accountable and reliable. My two cats were in good hands, even though my Siamese has dietary difficulties. They were happy and doing well when I got back last night. I got photos every day at every visit. I would book again in a heartbeat.”

“This is the second time Charmaine watched my cat and she’s fantastic. He’s an older cat and needs pills twice a day at specific times, and she’s always on time, and very communicative with great updates. I feel very comfortable leaving my cat in her care and definitely recommend!”

“Cassidy was the right pick for me! She was great at getting to know my kitty and picked up how to best greet and engage faster than sitters I’ve had in the past. Appreciate you!”

“Aja, did a great job. She was super reliable and took very good care of our cat Lilly. We were abroad for two weeks and were always kept up to date. We would definitely recommend her and will book her again next time.”

“This was our first time using Rover/an unknown pet sitter and we were nervous. We appreciate how Tori proposed a meet and greet, and helped walk us through some of the Rover steps. Tori was friendly and reassuring and it was obvious she loves animals. She was very responsive and willing to meet our needs. We would highly recommend her.”

About: I have taken care of animals for the past few years now. I have helped friends and family with whatever they need for their pet.I have bathed both cats and dogs, taken dogs on walks, cleaned litter boxes and ect. I do want to expand more on my expertise on taking care of pets as I go. I currently am working part-time, although I will have plently of time to take care of your pet whenever I don't have work or when I get off of work. I currently live in an apartment with no backyard,so I wouldn't be able to take care of your pup at my home.Although I would be sure to commute to your home as needed. As for cats I would be able to take care of them at either your home or mine.
About: I have extensive experience working with dogs of all ages, helping them adapt to their environment through desensitization and positive reinforcement techniques. I specialize in supporting puppies during their early developmental stages, guiding them in establishing proper potty habits and building a strong foundation for good behavior. In addition, I assist pet owners by providing structured outings that encourage socialization and exposure to new environments. These experiences are especially valuable for dogs learning to remain calm and well-mannered in public settings, including dog-friendly retail spaces. I am currently working full time but i am in and out of the house sometimes gone for 5-6 hours a day. Will be free after 3 pm weekdays most weekdays. Pet care is always number one. I offer a fully fenced yard with a secure 6-foot fence, providing a safe and spacious environment for dogs to play. My friendly pack of well-socialized dogs loves welcoming new companions, making it a great setting for positive interactions and playtime. I can accommodate a variety of needs—dogs can be safely crated if preferred, or enjoy supervised time outdoors on clean, well-maintained artificial turf. In addition to the main yard, I also have crates available and a separate outdoor dog run for added flexibility and safety.
About: I grew up around animals my whole life which includes dogs and cats, but also lizards, fish and horses. I currently live with 2 cats (one of whom will shower love on any being who comes into our home and the other will ensure to watch you from her favourite spot under the blankets). We would love to have weekend visitors as I work during the week. I work Monday to Friday which leaves me to focus on animals on weekends. If a pet were to stay during the week, morning/after work and maybe during lunch are when I'd be available for pet care. Due to high demand for medication administration, there will an extra $5 for day 1-4 and 5+ days will be an extra $10. I have a fully fenced back yard and I do a lot of yard work and play outside with animals as the back yard is a good size! My home is pet friendly with furniture being fair game. As I have pets who like get into everything, the house is pet proof. I also have a baby gate (I'm also an auntie who has kids come and visit) which can help keep pets apart if needed. I also live right across the street from a park for nice walks!
About: Hi, name is Michelle! I have a passion for animals of all types! I was in the pet industry for over 4 years caring for many different types of reptiles, all small animals, birds, fish, cats, dogs, you name it! I love every critter out there and treat each one likes it’s my own. If you need someone to look after your pet, take it for a walk or even just check in while you’re away or at work I’m your girl! I also have a lot of experience with administering medication and watching pets with special care. I’m reliable for you and patient with your pets. Im excited to cuddle them, love them and take care of them for you. A house is not a home without a pet🤍 I work in real estate with my husband so my schedule is very flexible and I do most of my job from my computer so I have ample time to spend with your furry friends. Although I had to technically select that I live in an apartment I actually live on the main level of a warehouse condo with private access, a yard and a garage!

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Regina
We had a wonderful experience with Cassidy as our cat sitter. Since this was the first time we had ever left our cat with a sitter, we were quite nervous about how it would go. However, Cassidy made the entire experience stress-free, and it turned out great. She was reliable, caring, and attentive throughout the entire time we were away. Cassidy arrived every day on time, quickly learned and followed my cat's complicated feeding schedule, and made sure everything was done exactly as instructed. She spent quality time playing with my cat, which helped keep her happy and comfortable while we were gone. On top of that, she always left everything clean and tidy after each visit. We came home to a happy, well-cared-for cat and a clean home.

Julia was fantastic! She jumped in last minute because of a medical emergency situation and looked after our two dog and our cat with joy, care, and thoroughness. She was genuinely empathetic about our situation, and was very accommodating. She even suggested and offered ways of caring for the dogs that I hadn't thought of. We are so grateful and appreciative of her intelligent and attentive to the care of our fur babies. 100% reliable!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
