“I highly recommend Aja! They were absolutely fantastic with my cat and I felt completely at ease leaving them in their care. She followed my instructions perfectly, provided regular updates with photos/videos, and my pet was clearly happy and well-cared for during my trip. I will definitely be using Aja again!"”

“Thank you so much for taking care of our very needy and whiny boy! 😊 We appreciate how caring you are with Poe and keeping us up to date on how everything is going with Poe and the house! We appreciate you so much! Thank you!!!!!!”

“Pratheeksha and Nilay stayed with one of our dogs for a week while we were on vacation. The house is in great condition and Bear was very clearly well loved. We loved the updates and all the photos and videos! They were also patient with multiple meet and greets to make sure Bear was used to them before they stayed here.”

“We had a great experience with Haley! She stayed overnight with our cat, Meelo, and took wonderful care of both him and our home. Meelo seemed very happy and comfortable with her, which gave us great peace of mind. She was responsive, detail-oriented, respectful, and kept us updated throughout her stay. We wouldn’t hesitate to hire her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter.”

“When we arrived home our dog acted like we had never left. Eva obviously did a wonderful job of helping Bader feel comfortable and cared for while we were away. Our home was in perfect condition.”

About: I am passionate about animals and have experience training puppies and working with many different types of dogs. I have owned many animals throughout my life. I am available during the mornings Monday to Thursday until 12pm and free all day Friday and Saturdays. I am free for overnight Friday evenings. Lots of play time, interaction and exercise! Feeding, watering and taking out for bathroom breaks when needed. And can't forget the belly rubs of course!
“Kylie was awesome with my dog! She kept me updated with photos throughout her stay and gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. I came home to a happy and healthy pup. I’ve already rebooked with her!”

“I highly recommend Janessa. My two senior ladies loved having her around - based on the pictures she would send and also their demeanour when I returned home. It’s such a relief to come home to them being happy and relaxed despite being away. Janessa went above and beyond! Not only did she administer regimented meals and meds, she adapted their outside time for their specific needs, and also kept my space incredibly clean and tidy - which speaks volumes to her lovely character! I will definitely be booking her for all future needs. Thanks so much!!”

“Jada was absolutely wonderful with my Maltipoo, Malty! From the moment they met, I could tell Malty felt comfortable and happy with her. Jada was caring, patient, and gave Malty lots of love, attention, and playtime. I really appreciated the updates and adorable photos while I was away—they made me smile and reassured me completely. When I got home, Malty was happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for. I couldn't have asked for a better pet sitter! Jada treated Malty like her own, and I would recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, kind, and genuinely passionate about pets. Thank you, Jada, for taking such amazing care of Malty! 🐶🐾”

“Cailyn is an amazing sitter our 4 animals were so well taken care of on our 10 day trip ! I don’t think they missed us at all! And the house was clean and well taken care of as well.”

About: I have grown up around cats and dogs since I was a baby. I started pet sitting six years ago and have done stays for up to three months as well cared for a cat with asthma who needed a puffer! I would love to connect with you, and your pet! I’m currently working part time as well as a nursing student at the UofR. I also am currently training for a marathon so being active is a huge part of my life. I am home a lot and have a lot of free time! I always will have eyes on your pets and ensure that they are well cared for within your home. I love playing with animals and will ensure they always have food, water, and time outside.
“Megan is awesome. She looked after our dog and house for 5 days and 4 nights. She's very dependable, adaptable, and friendly. We appreciate her professional demeanor and she put us at ease. The house was spotless. Megan thank you for going above and beyond.”

About: I have had dogs, cats, aquatics and birds as pet in my hometown. More than happy to host or sit any of your fur babies. I am living alone in my apartment and would love a company to keep me entertained mainly over the weekend and weekday evenings as well. I would like to follow the same way client takes care of their pets unless if client specifically asks to do in a different way.
“There's a special word to describe Dylan and Carmela, this word is kahu. It means protector, guardian and honoured attendant of pets. They were instrumental in keeping the stress of leaving home to be with my husband in a hospital hours away. They took time to be the replacements and treated Loki like platinum. They are trustworthy, honest, reliable, discreet and full of integrity. There's a pureness in their souls for pets that is so rare. Simple thank yous would never be enough. Dylan and Carmela, bless you both!.”

We are repeat customers. Julia did another fine job of taking care of our 2 cats. Again, she helped our anxious cat feel comfortable while our more relaxed cat had fun playing with her and getting lots of pets. She left our place in great shape. We are grateful.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Regina maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Garbage & recycling: Taking garbage bins to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Regina walking routes, the location of your favourite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Regina choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
You can find what you need to review a sitter on their profile before booking with them. Each sitters’s profile on Rover shows verified reviews, identity check, and ratings to give a glimpse of how their previous visits went. You can also use the Meet & Greet to walk through your home, identifying which areas, like your bedroom, are off-limits or not. Requesting details of your home security through the app can also be a good way to have your sitter keep you updated about your home.
If you have security cameras or doorbells, Rover asks that you disclose them to sitters before you book.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a veterinary professional or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
