About: I grew up surrounded by animals, taking care of their wants, needs and ensuring a safe environment! I love animals and enjoy providing life enrichment! I am currently looking for part-time work, and am looking to provide this service! I am very flexible to suit the needs of your pet and how you want their day to look! I have a fenced yard, surrounded by parks and have two friendly dogs to keep them company! I could easily follow a given schedule or routine.

Ce n’est pas une tâche que j'ajoute à mon horaire: j'ai déjà ma propre routine quotidienne bien établie depuis mon tout jeune âge. Que ce soit pour les promenades, la course à pied, les moments de jeu ou l'attention au quotidien, la prise en charge d'un animal est déjà pleinement intégrée à mon mode de vie. Accueillir ou visiter un nouvel animal s'insère donc naturellement dans un rythme que je maîtrise déjà parfaitement! À mon domicile, tout est aménagé pour offrir un environnement sécuritaire, stimulant et confortable. Je dispose d'une grande cour entièrement dédiée aux chiens, idéale pour les moments de jeu et de détente. Sur place, les chiens ont accès à un équipement complet : lits douillets, variété de jouets, enclos modulables (X-pens) et cages pour respecter le rythme de repos et la routine de chacun. Que ce soit pour la nuit ou pour la journée, votre compagnon bénéficie d'une attention constante et d'un espace totalement adapté à ses besoins. Lors des promenades, je m'adapte à l'énergie de votre chien (marche rythmée ou course à pied). Je peux utiliser mon propre matériel professionnel et sécuritaire (laisses adaptées) pour garantir des sorties agréables et sous contrôle. Lors des visites ou du gardonnage chez vous, je reproduis fidèlement la routine de votre animal pour ne pas le déstabiliser : alimentation à heure fixe, administration de médicaments si nécessaire, moments de jeu, pause besoins et affection. Je m'assure également de la sécurité des lieux et vous envoie des nouvelles détaillées à chaque passage.

About: Patient and caring dog walker and dog sitter with 10+ years of experience with various dog breeds (incl. large dogs). Eager to join Rover to take its furry clientele on long stress-relieving walks regardless of weather conditions. My love for animals is far out of this world! Pet care fits very naturally into my daily and weekly routine because I currently have plenty of free time during the day and evenings. I lost my best friend to cancer two years ago when he was 14, and caring for him taught me just how special the bond with a pet can be. I truly love spending time with animals, whether that means taking them for walks, playing with them, or welcoming them into my home for boarding. I would be happy to make pet care a meaningful part of my routine and give each animal the attention, companionship, and care they deserve. I care for pets with patience, attention, and plenty of love. I follow their usual routines, provide fresh food and water, give them exercise and playtime, and keep their environment clean, safe, and comfortable.

About: I had the absolute honour to be a dog Mom for 15 years. My beautiful Benjamin earned his angel wings in September 2023 but I still remember how hard it was to find a loving & attentive dog sitter who had senior dog experience, and it was through Rover that I met some really amazing dog-sitters and I'm forever grateful they were part of Benji's journey. Benji had diabetes for years so I have extensive experience administering needles and oral medication. Benji was also a fussy eater so I’m also used to making meals tasty and the environment super relaxing to ensure your baby is as happy as they can be while you’re away. The primary reason for having a higher-than-average rate is because I promise to provide exceptional, safe, and attentive care to your precious baby. I’m also open to giving very frequent updates and photos to make your experience away from your baby as enjoyable as possible. I’m very mindful of safety rules and making sure you’re little (or big!) one is safe and cared for 24/7. I love dogs so much and I miss their beautiful love and light, and while I’m not ready to have another one of my own yet, I look forward to caring for your dog as I would my own. I love giving lots of cuddles, belly rubs and walks and I aim to make every dog feel super loved and adored. Right now I’m currently working in Ottawa for the federal government from Monday to Thursday. I work from home on Fridays, and I am available all weekend and would dedicate every hour to looking after your fur baby. I’m currently in transition to retirement, so I will be available for full-time sitting as of January 1, 2027. For boarding, I am comfortable spending all of my free time outside of work with your baby. I don’t have any obligations that would take me away from focusing on your baby’s care. I also live in a very quiet neighborhood, so it would be a peaceful and enjoyable experience for your little one. I look forward to meeting you and your precious baby! 🐶 For now, I work from home 1 day a week (Fri) and have to be in the office in Ottawa 4 days a week (Mon-Thurs). I would be able to be home with your baby (Fri, Sat, Sun) but if you’re going on vacation and request more than those 3 days I’m more than happy to do 7 days a week, as long as you’re ok with them being alone on the 4 days I’m in the office (from 7am to 3pm). As of January 1, 2027, I will be fully retired and available 24/7. I have a fully fenced yard and live on a corner lot so there is lots to see and sniff even if just running around my yard, but I am happy to go on lots of leashed walks as well. I’m pretty good at interpreting the signs for potty time, but I love learning as much as I can from you about what your baby’s habits, needs and preferences are. Being a devoted dog Mom for 15 years, I was always extremely careful about making sure my Benji was safe and happy, and I did many things to avoid potential situations, such as crossing the street on walks if another dog looked aggressive, making sure I had eyes on him at all times and knowing what he was doing, even when sniffing the ground, making sure nothing was on the ground that could be hazardous. Nothing was more important to me than protecting my Benji and also making him feel super loved and relaxed. Trust is so important when choosing a dog-sitter. I’ve had a few negative experiences when I needed one in the past, so I know how awful it can be to search and have to settle for mediocre care when in a pinch, so it’s important to me to offer the utmost in care for your baby and for you to be assured that they are in good hands. I’ve had very positive experiences using Rover in the past as a dog owner & I’m excited to now be able to give positive experiences to other pet parents as a dog-sitter. I’m more than happy to abide by any and all requests or preferences that you have when it comes to your baby and I’d love to know their likes and dislikes and whatever else will make their stay with me the best time ever!

About: I’ve been watching dogs for 7 years now. I love all types of dogs. But the first dog I ever got close to was a pitbull. He was the first over night dog sit/house sit. I ever did, the couple would travel often due to work. So I would dog sit about 2/3 times a week. I did that for about two years and gained a lot of experience with dogs due to that job. I also find dog walking a great way to stay healthy and active with out it feeling like a work out. I’ve enjoyed dogging sitting ever since I started and don’t plan to stop. So for now that I can’t get a dog of my own. I’ll just watch yours ! Just send me a message and ill send you my number so we can set up a meeting. Price is negotiable. I’m currently a full time student online so I’m looking to make cash while staying active and happy and what a better way than to pet sit. I’ve loved animal since I was a little girl so being around them always brings me joy and as you’ll see they take a liking to me as well. Even the pups you think won’t, always end up loving me as well. I live in a very spacious one bedroom apartment with a balcony alone so they always feel free and nice fresh air. There is a courtyard in my building that is dog friendly and three dog parks near my building as well. So they will always have room to run and be themselves. I am a full time online student so I would be spending my whole day with your pups. They would always be in great care with love and attention. I have a nice courtyard in my building that’s pet friendly and they can play and I also have three dog parks in my area. Where they can run around and meet new pups if allowed I am currently an full time online student so I would be with your pup the whole day. About: I believe animals are always communicating with us, and I approach pet care by listening first and responding with patience and care. I have 12 years of experience with my own dog and have worked through reactivity, anxiety, fear of noises, and leash pulling using positive reinforcement. I have worked with multiple trainers over the years and have spent a lot of time learning about dog behaviour and psychology, which has shaped how I care for animals today. I pay close attention to body language and subtle cues like freezing, yawning, or disengaging. When a dog seems overwhelmed, I focus on helping them feel safe and settled by creating space, choosing calmer routes or environments, or redirecting them toward something grounding. With shy or nervous dogs, I always let them approach on their own terms and give them the freedom to take breaks or step away when needed. I also believe in balancing physical and mental stimulation. Along with fulfilling walks, I enjoy incorporating enrichment like sniffing games, confidence-building activities, and gentle training. These activities work well for high-energy dogs and can also help more nervous or shy dogs feel comfortable and confident. I have experience caring for large and small dogs, puppies, and senior dogs, as well as administering medication including pills, liquids, topical treatments, and ear drops. I am very comfortable following vet instructions and care routines, and I tend to be very organized and attentive to detail. Above all, I genuinely care about each animal’s wellbeing and individuality. I use patience, positive reinforcement, and observation as the foundation of my care, and I always do my best to make sure every pet feels safe, understood, and cared for. I’m currently a work-from-home professional so I am quite flexible time and space wise. I am available at virtually any time and can readily offer overnight care in your home while you’re away. With a persistent attention to detail, I frequently look out for when an animal is trying to communicate a need, such as them wanting water, to play, to eat, to be pet, etc. I always ensure they have fresh, clean water and that they are fed the appropriate amount and on time. I also like to spend quality time with them giving them belly rubs and and behind-the-ear scratches. I also look out for their safety by keeping things that might be dangerous out of reach as well as checking in on them frequently to make sure they are doing well :)
