“We hired Lauren to watch our 3 dogs (Ages 15yrs, 9yrs & 4yrs) on our wedding day. Lauren's Veterinary Technician background made her stand out to us in our search for a sitter. At our meet and greet all 3 of our dogs instantly fell in love with her which made us feel at ease. Lauren kept us updated throughout the afternoon and evening with how everyone was doing and even sent us some cute candid photos of them! She even got our picker eater to lick his bowl clean! We were able to enjoy our wedding day without having to worry about our pups thanks to Lauren! About: I've been surrounded by animals my entire life and have owned a variety of pets, including dogs, cats, and bunnies. Growing up, my parents bred dogs, which gave me hands-on experience caring for puppies from an early age. I helped with their daily care, socialization, and basic training, learning the importance of patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement. I genuinely love spending time with animals and understand that every pet has its own unique personality and needs. Whether it's playtime, walks, cuddles, or sticking to their routine, I'll make sure your pet feels safe, loved, and well cared for while you're away. As a nurse, I have large 5 days periods of time off, during which I would be available to provide care at any time. Following this, I work 4 days in a row and as a result, my schedule is not super consistent in that my days off vary. Despite this, I am super flexible and willing to coordinate with people’s schedule during the 5 day window. My entire home is currently pet-proofed for my bunny, who would go in her x-pen during home visits. All baseboards are tapped and all cord and wires are protected with coverings to ensure the rabbit’s safety. I am also very careful about the plants and flowers I bring in the environment due to potential toxicities. As a nurse, I also have medical knowledge which may be applicable at times. I will always doing everything within my power to ensure the safety and comfort of all animals in my care.

About: My friends have always come to me first for any kind of help with dogs (general advice, training, walking, sitting). I used to be a volunteer dog walker at the Humane Society. I mostly work from home on my own schedule so I’m quite flexible mid-day to come play with your pup! I’m also a very easy going person. In my home: I live on an open acre amongst the vineyards by the lake, so I always have to keep dogs on leash around my yard. However if they’re trained, I am happy to let them off leash to run, play and swim. I have the hose ready and lots of dog towels available. In a client’s home: it’s up to the client but I like to start with a short walk and see if the dog needs more exercise (younger pup), or just needs cuddles (senior dog).

About: I have taken care of my own pets our golden retriever with a chronic illness that required daily medication and frequent vet visits. I have also have a maine coon cross cat. I am currently attending college and finishing my criminal psychology degree in order to work security for public safety. I am flexible with my schedule and that allows me to work with pets. I will go to my clients home. I can walk and care for dogs of all sizes and I can check in on and provide play time for cats.

About: I have had cats and dogs and both are amazing pets each brings their own uniqueness to the family. I have in the past trained my dog as a St. John Ambulance Therapy Dog and he and I volunteered for many years. I have provided pet and house-sitting services for a few years now and with a recent move to a new area I decided to sign up for Rover and find new furry friends to watch. I am currently working as a remote English teacher and so working for Rover fits right in with my day. I look forward to spending time with furry friends. I do not care for pets in my home. I have recently moved to area, and I rent so I cannot provide this service right now. I can come to a client's home, to provide the best care possible.

About: First of all - I empathize with your tough decision; leaving your fur baby in the hands of another is always a stressful experience. I want to make sure this is a pawsitive experience for you - to answer any questions, send regular updates and photos of your fur baby being spoiled, feeling safe and comfortable in your absence - which would be stressful for them as well. I will not derail your training or nutrition routines as I know it takes a lot of work and dedication to raise a healthy, happy pet. I work full time M to F, 8 to 3. If by chance your fur baby needed to spend any weekdays with me, I’m happy to crate or provide a space free of dangers - garbages up, stairs downstairs gated off and peaceful music in the background. I can also ask my folks (retired) to stop by for a pet and a pee. Mainly - I am looking to sit during weekends (when I am fully off) and holidays (I get all school holidays off) - where it will be me and your fur baby from morning till night! Also - if your pet is more comfortable at his/her own home, I don’t mind having the discussion of me staying over with you. I think it would be really beautiful to get to know your pet like an auntie so that you all can rely on a familiar face as you travel and your pets grow older! I live on an acre of land, with a creek in my backyard. I do not live on a busy street, however, I do not have a fenced in property. I would never let your dog or cat outside to roam without myself at the end of their leash. I will gladly exercise your fur baby with toys, lick pads and long-tether leash walks, in the backyard, on the trails (depending on heartworm/tick medications up to date), but I would never let them out of my sight (I wouldn’t even be able to do that with my own fur baby as I don’t want them to get into anything and frankly I don’t trust people out there!!)

About: I have been an animal lover for my entire life. Growing up, I knew the name of every single dog in my neighbourhood. I have many years of experience with different pets, including puppies, dogs, cats, birds, and even squirrels. I’m the type of person who’s sitting on the floor playing with the dog or cat at a party. I have a deep care for animals and I will always look out for them as if they were my own pets. I will work with puppies on commands such as house-training, sit, stay, tricks, etc. during my visits if that is wanted as well. You can count on me to bring all the fun, love, and care to your pets while you’re away! I have open availability! 7 days a week for drop in visits, walks, doggy daycare, etc. I will always accept your request unless I have already been booked up by another client. I always treat your animals like my own! Love, care, cuddles, compassion, walks, playtime, and trust. I will always be respectful of your home and rules. I will follow any directions you leave for me to keep your pet as safe as possible in my care. Doggy day care will get the same treatment, including a large fenced-in yard to run around and play! Other pets will NOT be in my home during visits, so your pet will receive all the attention! Trails close by to go for long walks! Lots of blankets and toys to keep them comfortable!

About: I've had pets my whole life but it wasn't until I adopted a dog of my own that I truly learned what it means to care for one. I now have experience with reactive and fearful dogs, counter conditioning, desensitization, and canine enrichment. I just received notice of an indefinite layoff so I will have all the time in the world to do something I genuinely enjoy. I feed both my dog and foster dog using enrichment tools(snuffle, puzzle, Kong, find it) trim their nails with a Dremel weekly, give them meds daily. They're always so excited for their daily walks, rain or shine. Though our foster boy needs to be bundled up to handle the cold. I believe following a routine is important. Pets will be fed when they're used to, given meds as prescribed by your vet. Light grooming if requested (I may charge for more challenging grooms. Details can be discussed). If your dog is afraid of nail trims, brushing or anything else, we can work together on cooperative care to make necessary care less stressful for them.
