About: I am a full-time nursing student, with past experience working in a vet clinic, so I have a great understanding of ways to soothe your pet if they get nervous while you’re away. I also am confident in providing first aid and CPR to your pet in the event of an emergency while you are away. I am also confident in pilling your pets if they are on any medications! I am a full-time nursing student, I’m currently in hospital 2 days a week and on campus 3 days a week. I generally don’t take bookings on hospital days due to the early mornings and time away from your pets, but please reach out as I do make expectations to this! I’m available to stay ant your home overnight with your pet or pop in a few times a day, whatever you and your pet prefer. Ensuring that your pet is well fed and tended to before I leave for classes is my priority each morning. Throughout the week I will not be able to drop in on your pet during the day, as my classes run back to back, but I am more than willing to work with a neighbour or dog walker of your choice to make sure your pet gets their needs met! I like to ensure that I have a complete schedule of everything your pet needs during the day, including feeding times, walks, medications, playtimes, etc., which I am happy to create and send a copy to you prior to you leaving upon request. I also have roughly 3 years of experience working at a local vet clinic and have been trained in pet CPR, post-surgical care, and am able to recognize the early signs of many emergent conditions.

When caring for pets in my home or a client’s home, I prioritize creating a safe, comfortable, and loving environment. I follow any specific routines or instructions provided by the owner, such as feeding schedules, exercise needs, and medication requirements, to ensure consistency for the pet. I make sure pets get plenty of attention, playtime, and affection to keep them happy and engaged. About: I grew up with dogs who've always been considered part of the family. As a lover of all animals, I've also had experience with cats, rabbits, rodents, and horses. I love being active in the outdoors and bringing my furry friends along! My bernedoodle Bailey and I often walk, run, hike, bike and ski among our local mountains and enjoy swimming in the lake on hot summer days. I've cared for dogs with high energy, low energy, puppies and seniors and am able to accomodate special needs your dog(s) may have. I'm a university student with a varying summer schedule, and am often out and about with my own dog. I have a 2 year old medium-large bernedoodle, Bailey, who is incredibly friendly, playful, affecctionate and gentle with smaller dogs. I'm comfortable caring for all ages, sizes and breeds of dogs, given that we've had a successful meet-and-greet and they are comfortable with Bailey if they'll be around her. I value maintaining the routines your pet is used to and fulfilling their needs and your requests for exercise and care. I am conviently located in town in Nelson with trails close by.

About: I'm incredibly attentive and will take good care to make sure your pet's needs are met. I'm very good at reading animals and most pets warm up to me very quickly. I'm also a great communicator and will keep you updated so you know your pet is in good hands :) My background: I've been an obsessive animal lover for as long as I can remember. I grew up walking our family dog and taking care of our cat as well as volunteering at my local SPCA, caring for the cats and dogs there. I have also volunteered at local wildlife rehabs for many years now, and professionally, I work as a wildlife biologist. Having just moved to Nelson from Saskatchewan, I am still on the hunt for work in my field. As such, I have a lot of free time on my hands and am looking forward to caring for pets in the meantime. I am friendly and reliable and will always keep you updated on how your pet is doing. I am happy to take on walking dogs of all sizes. I am attentive and highly capable of following individual pet dietary, social, and fitness needs.

About: I have always cherished a profound and sacred connection with animals throughout my entire life. I had a very close relationship with my three pit bull labs growing up. Wherever I go, I find myself forming deep bonds with the animals around me, even though it's been a while since I've had a pet of my own. You might recognize me as that person at the dog park, striking up conversations with every pup that passes by. While I've always yearned to have an animal companion of my own, I believe it's crucial to provide them with the perfect environment for a fulfilling life. Unfortunately, my current rental doesn't permit pets. This is where you and your beloved pet come into the picture. It would be an absolute honor for me to spend time with your furry friend, embarking on adventurous journeys together. As an avid mushroom hunter and hiker for most of the year, I guarantee that our forest explorations will be nothing short of extraordinary. Plus, being relatively new to Nelson, I am eager to discover new sights and experiences the Koots has to offer. Caring for animals is second nature to me, and I have a wealth of experience in pet-sitting with positive reviews from their owners (which I'd be happy to share with you). Since relocating here, I've been entrusted with the care of my friends' pets during house sits, and I regularly tend to the animals at my partner's home. With my current work schedule allowing for flexibility, I have ample availability, even for last-minute requests for walks or home visits. Your pet's well-being and happiness are of utmost importance to me, and I'm eager to be their trusted companion. I hope to also build my reputation on Rover with your help. I currently work two days a week, which provides me with a significant amount of flexibility. This means I have ample availability for pet sitting, including last-minute requests for walks or home visits. I understand the importance of being reliable and accommodating, and I'm committed to ensuring that your cat receives the attention and care they deserve, even on short notice. Whether in the comfort of your own home, I prioritize your little furry family’s well-being. I promise to maintain routines, administer medications if needed, and provide companionship following your guidelines, and ensure their safety. I will communicate very well and clear so you know what is going on and how good of a time your pet is having!

About: I’ve been an animal lover all my life, growing up our house was nick named the zoo (we had many animals) I have taken care of dogs/cats of every kind since I was young. I’ve always had a passion for animals and taking care of not only my own, but my friends pets as well. My friends like to nickname me mama bear and the animal whisperer 😻 I’ve volunteered at spca and currently looking into opportunities out here in Nelson as I moved only a few months ago from Alberta. I’m a huge outdoors person, I love to hike, go for jogs and be in nature. I’m an empath and am really good with feeling people and pet energies, I’m also an early riser and have my own vehicle so I’m open to morning walks. I plan to open up my own pet sitting business in near future, and would love nothing more than to provide a warm welcoming environment for fur friends. I’m very kind and friendly, I can easily strike up conversation and get along with almost anyone. Feel free to ask me any questions and or meet me before hand. I’d love to get to know you and your pet needs more 😻 🐕 I am pretty flexible to work around a schedule, Monday and Wednesdays however I'm gone throughout the day till the evening due to college. I am focusing on my career, however enjoy having pet sitting on the side. Do note that I can do constant care for house sitting bookings, however depending on the type of care this can range anywhere from 100-150 a day. (normally this is for puppies and or dogs with high attention needs) I like a week notice for sittings, if short notice booking comes in less than a week, I do charge an extra fee to move around my schedule and to also provide the proper care for the animals ahead of time. For more details please message me. I always make sure fur friends are safe, being aware of my surroundings and double checking gates, doors and locks. I want to make sure they have plenty of water and food, and well taken care of. I like to imagine being in the shoes of if my cats were being taken care by someone, how would I want my fur babies to be treated and I’d want them to feel comfortable/loved! So I give that service back to others.

About: I've taken care of dogs for most of life, from walking neighbours dogs and caring for friends dogs whilst they are on vacation, to more recently pet/house sitting for 6 months caring for dogs and cats. I am an active person and enjoy having a fury companion to accompany me on my walks/runs. I have cared for dogs from puppy to senior age and am adaptable with whatever care needs your dog requires. I have a flexible schedule currently so am quite flexible. Pop me a message/ request and let's see if we can work something out :) I have 6 months recent experience with reviews from Trust Housesitters. I am reliable, timely, trustworthy and caring. Your pets needs are my top priority so you can rest easy knowing they are in safe hands! If I am in your home I will be considerate and cleanly, leaving it better than when I arrived! If I'm walking your dog, I will ensure your houses security is maintained, your dog is given good exercise and they are left content when I leave!

“Jessie is a fantastic pet caregiver. I was upfront about only needing her for one day, for one walk, while I was looking after my parent’s Bernese Mountain Dog, and she still gave me awesome service. Jessie went out of her way to come meet Stacey before the booking and asked all the appropriate questions and paid great attention to detail. She gave Stacey a great walk and sent lots of photos! It’s clear that Jessie simply loves animals and helping people out. ? (Also, her puppy, Howdy is very cute and very nice.) I would highly recommend booking Jessie for your dog walking needs! ?❤️”

Cory J.
“Cory is a fantastic dog sitter! He was recommended to me through friends, and watched my dog for two weeks while I was on vacation - I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. He sent me periodic updates and was super responsive to my messages, which gave me real peace of mind. My dog Flipper VI was happy and well cared for when I got back, and it was clear Cory took great care of him (they were chilling on the couch together when I got home:)) I’ve used him semi-regularly ever since for weekend trips etc. He’s reliable, experienced, and great with dogs. He's stepped in for me at short notice on a couple of occasions. Highly recommend!”

Madelyn B.
“I am happy to recommend Maddy Bonikowsky for a dog walker/sitter job. She is someone who has always had an incredible passion for animals, especially dogs. Her genuine love and understanding of dogs shine through in most things she does. She not only knows a great deal about dog behavior and care, but she also takes the time to connect and ask questions about each dog she encounters. What stands out the most about Maddy is her kind heart. She’s incredibly patient and compassionate, ensuring that every dog in her care feels safe, loved, and comfortable. On top of that, she’s extremely active which makes her the perfect match for keeping up with dogs of all sizes and energy levels. I have no doubt that Maddy would excel in this role, and any pet under her care would be lucky to have such a dedicated, knowledgeable, and caring individual looking out for them.”

“Our dog, Tula loves Isabel! Tula is anxious, needs a lot of exercise and companionship. When we returned from our month away, Tula was in great shape and was happy, and confident. Isabel came by a few days after we returned home for a visit and Tula was happy to see her! It was a relief to not worry about her while we were away.
