“Really thankful I came across Teena and Wayne’s profile when searching for someone to watch my dog while I was away in Portugal on vacation. Teena and Wayne were instantly responsive and arranged for a meet and greet with my dog Karma prior to us deciding whether or not she would benefit and be a good fit for staying 12 days with them while I was away. The meet and greet went well, and I felt confident that Karma would be well taken care of while I was traveling. She was instantly comfortable with both of them and they also asked important questions about Karma and how best to care for her! That showed me that they really do care about their quality of service, and that I could trust them to watch her. They were great at setting me updates throughout the time that I was away and that allowed me to feel more confident and comfortable that Karma was in good hands. I highly recommend Teena and Wayne for pet boarding services and will definitely be a repeat. Customer should the opportunity arise that I need care for Karma in the future. Our dog Darcy continues to receive excellent care and attention while boarding with Maddie, her dogs and her incredibly helpful husband, Steve. Darcy is always eager to run up to the house when I'm dropping him off so he obviously enjoys his stays. It almost makes me wonder if he wants to move in!
This was our first time using Rover. Tristan and Julia were available in our neighbourhood and they were terrific. Easy going, caring and very accommodating. Our cockapoo had no problem getting used to them and they kept us regularly posted with updates and photos. I’d recommend them.

Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
