About: I've had dogs for the last 20 years, usually with four in the house at a time. We've had a Shih-tzu, three Jack-Shih-tzus, a Great Pyrenees, and now a solo Maltie-Poo named Dozer. Every dog I meet is a new friend, and I have to admit that I knew the names of all the dogs in my last neighborhood, and like maybe three of the owners names. Happy to walk active dogs that need long walks. For doggy day care and boarding we have to restrict it to small dogs because our own small dog is picky about which larger dogs he likes. Other animals: I've also taken care of farm animals. Dairy cows and calves, and feeding chickens and putting them in for the night. I've kept both freshwater and marine tanks and can check up on your fish or your reef while you're away. No worrying about your niece or nephew dumping a whole container of bug bites into the tank while you're gone and causing an ammonia spike. I've also kept constrictors and colubrids (but not currently), crested geckos, and dart frogs, and am familiar with the husbandry of each. I have a flexible schedule and am in between writing contracts at the moment so have lots of time available for scheduling check-ins and walks for local puppers. I can check-on and feed pets as needed, dispense necessary meds, walk them from your home, or load them in the car and take them to the Cataraqui Trail for longer walks / more active dogs.

“This was Daisy's first time boarding with Nellie and Louise. She settled in really well thanks to Nellie's wonderful care, along with her skills and experience interacting with dogs. Nellie provided Daisy with lots of outdoor exercise both at the off leash dog park and her fenced in yard. This was ideal for Daisy, as Daisy is quite energetic and loves socializing with other dogs - Louise was great play mate. Nellie is also great at communicating, and reassured me that Daisy was doing well by sending me photos and video of her time spent at her dog friendly home. We are looking forward to Daisy's next stay with Nellie and Louise.”

“Rodrigo and his family were wonderful with our dog! April was a little nervous at drop-off, but Rodrigo made sure she settled in quickly and was comfortable throughout her stay. He sent regular photo updates, which gave us so much peace of mind, and made sure she got her walks and meals on schedule. When we picked her up, she was happy and clearly well looked after. He was also flexible when we needed to shorten her stay by a night. Highly recommend Rodrigo for pet boarding we’ll definitely book with him again for April!”

About: I grew up with pets, have owned my own dogs and cats and have been dog sitting for the last few years! I see these animals not just as pets, but as peoples' family members. Who need someone to care for them just as their owners would - while they are missing their people! I'm happy to feed, brush, walk, play and snuggle! I work 5 days a week, 3 of which are from home. Generally within any day I have quite a bit of flexibility to set my schedule and do what needs to be done! My yard is not fully fenced, however I'm happy to take dogs out for walks as needed or supervise in the yard, on a leash or not.

She was also very accommodating since we made the booking on fairly short notice. The biggest compliment I can give is that I will definitely leave George with them again without thinking twice. “I was lucky to find Kaori when looking for a someone to watch my golden retriever for the long weekend. I was nervous to use Rover for the first time for boarding but after meeting Kaori I knew Cooper would be in good hands! Cooper had lots of enrichment through nice off leash walks and even a nice swim! I was starting to think it was Cooper who was on vacation😅. Kaori is very knowledgable and appears to genuinely love what she does. I definitely would recommend her service!”

“We were a bit nervous leaving our 10.5yr old Lab, 1. because she is getting older, stubborn, and occasionally "whiny", and 2. since she hasn't even been in a kennel since before COVID. We met Allison and her daughter when we brought Darva for a first check suggested by Allison, that made sense to see if our dogs had innate antipathies,and could be civil with each other. All went well. A few days later we brought our dog over and left her while we had a day out of town. Allison sent us a picture of our dog to show that she was fine - and our dog was actually looking at the camera, which was unusual since she normally refuses when anyone points a "soul-sucker" in her direction, and turns her head away We found the care and the place good for our dog and know that Allison did all she could to alleviate any of our concerns..”
