“Absolutely satisfied with the care and attention Morgan paid our wonderful puppy Nova and to our home. Apparently we have some doggy depression over the fact that she left lol For a dog who normally doesn’t take to people quickly, this just shows what kind of person Morgan is. Highly recommend her for anyone’s dog and house sitting needs!”

“Elizabeth and Joao were amazing. They sent us pictures and updates that made us feel at ease. Our dog needs activity and we felt like they took great care of her and gave her lots of walks. I know they did a good job, because our little scaredy cat came out of hiding. They were respectful and tidy in our home. Very trustworthy!”

“Wow! Thanks so much you guys. It was so great to come home to happy pets and a nice clean home. I also appreciated all of the updates and photos while we were away. Looking forward to having you stay again in the future :)”
“This was our first time meeting Christina and having her stay overnight with Bean. Christina has a very calm energy and clearly loves animals. 10/10 good with communication, responsible, reliable, and "go with the flow" attitude. Will 100% book again.”

“Alara was amazing with our dog Sammy! Sammy is a very anxious dog and Alara has a very calming demeanour and Sammy reacted very positively to her. She took him for walks every day and sent us many pictures. We were gone 10 days and I was concerned as we had never left him with someone he doesn’t know. I wouldn’t hesitate to have Alara stay with Sammy again!! 5 ⭐️ for sure!!”

About: 🐾 What Sets Me Apart 🐾 I have had pets my whole life. Since I was a young child. We always had dogs, cats, chickens, hamsters and fish. I loved taking care of them but since getting older I have not had a chance to have my own as I generally am in rentals that don't allow pets so I love to look after others when they are away. I treat every pet like my own, catering to their unique needs, routines and quirks. I am experienced & trustworthy – I have years of experience with dogs & cats of all sizes, breeds and temperaments. Clients often call me the pet whisperer as their pet comes to me willingly when they might not with others because of my calm, gentle and grounded personality. As a trauma recovery coach specializing in nervous system regulation, I create a soothing and safe environment for pets, especially anxious or rescue animals. I take your dogs on engaging walks, engage in interactive play with your pets and give mindful attention to their well-being, not just basic care. I am flexible & reliable – I work around your schedule to ensure stress-free pet care. I work from home as I am a Trauma Recovery Coach so I see my clients online. I generally help clients regulate their nervous system or give them mindfulness practices. So I am often doing meditations with them or calming sessions with them. I take breaks in between clients and go for walks so can be sure to give your pet the extra attention it needs. I generally go to your home to take care of your pet. I do have a yard with a fence right now though which is helpful.

“Nathan exceeded our expectations. He was warm and loving towards our little rascal. They are now best of friends. Nathan communicated well while we were on holiday with messages and pics. We were pleasantly surprised how well he took care of our home. We would highly recommend Nathan, and will definitely be booking with him again.”

“Tera was an excellent sitter. From the initial connection to the moment the booking came to an end she was an excellent communicator. It seemed she left our house cleaner than what it was when we left. Our dogs were so content when we got home, it was like we hadn't left at all. The dogs seemed to miss her the first evening we were home, they watched for her arrival, like she was now a part of our family! We have a senior dog that had been fussy at meal times, we left as many food choices for Tera in hopes that she had success with feeding. Tera found a solution on her first meal time, our doggo needed to have a raised food bowl, likely due to sore joints in the shoulders or neck! She found a way to raise his bowl for each meal, and he was an excellent eater from then on. We now are in search of a raised bowl for a permanent solution. Tera's experience clearly came through in this situation, and we are so very grateful to her. We highly recommend and will hire Tera again in the future.”

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Enderby maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Garbage & recycling: Taking garbage bins to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Enderby walking routes, the location of your favourite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Enderby choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
You can find what you need to review a sitter on their profile before booking with them. Each sitters’s profile on Rover shows verified reviews, identity check, and ratings to give a glimpse of how their previous visits went. You can also use the Meet & Greet to walk through your home, identifying which areas, like your bedroom, are off-limits or not. Requesting details of your home security through the app can also be a good way to have your sitter keep you updated about your home.
If you have security cameras or doorbells, Rover asks that you disclose them to sitters before you book.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a veterinary professional or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
