About: I have had a dog in my life since I was 6 years old, that is 57 years of knowing the joy of dogs. I've raised them from puppies, rescued them from the street, cared for them in their old age and through sickness. I have held them all as they have left this world, and gazed into their eyes as they took their last breath so they knew I was there and to not be afraid. I have always considered them my family and treated them as such. I am the person that sits with the dog at house parties. I know that dogs feel safe in my presence as they have the gift of sensing who is a kind human being. I am excited about walking and running with the young dogs, and excited to sit and cuddle with the old. They are welcome in my home, on my couch, on the bed. I work from home, part time, and will always be available for your dog throughout the day and night! They will be welcome to sit beside me in my office on a dog bed, or lounge around anywhere else in my home. My home is very dog friendly. I have two large decks that overlook the forest where they can comfortably lounge in the sun. The can rest in front of my warm gas fireplace on a dog bed in the colder months. I have trails and park right behind my house that I would love to take your dog for walks along. They are welcome to sit on my couches, or hop up on my bed.

About: I have been taking care of animals since I was a little girl. It’s a passion and a mission of mine to protect all animals . I started volunteering and working at a young age with my hometown SPCA for well over 10 years. I wanted to make sure every dog got to go out for a walk everyday. Some days I had up to 22 dogs. To this day working there was my most rewarding work I have ever done. It brought me so much joy. I also worked for a company called Spot Dog Walking in Calgary , AB a couple years ago. I am very strong and confident when it comes to handling and walking them properly on a leash. I have some previous training In basic obedience and positive reinforcement. About: I have been around dogs all my life, I have cared for many different breeds of dogs since I was 10 for neighbours, friends and family, I have bottle fed, cared for and raised a new a born pup and I'm an experienced dachshund owner (IVDD). I am home full time except for the odd appointment so I will have a lot of time to play with your fur babies!! I am available during the week and weekends. My yard is fenced, I do have netting around the bottom of my deck railings so that my dogs or your dogs can’t jump off. I also never leave the dogs unattended while outside. I have a gate at the top of my stairs to the front door so that my dachshunds don’t go down the stairs or get out of the door. I also have crates if they are needed.

About: The dog skill of staying aware of my surroundings has taught me everything I need to know to continue living a stress free life with my dog. All dogs are different and I can show them a comfortable attitude while providing some healthy exercise. My schedule is open to fit your needs at the moment and I can commute near my home quickly in a car for emergencies. Since we live in a tough environment I will come prepared for the weather appropriately. I usually take my dog out 3 to 4 times per day which includes picking up poop and learning of basic tricks. She is 5 but strong as labradors are because of their size.
