“Harry was a great dog walker! He helped me out so much! He responded to my request promptly and met me at our arranged spot. He was friendly, patient and professional, communicating with me and caring for Max. I would definitely recommend Harry if you need help with your pet. Thanks again. 😊👍”

“Rigel was wonderful with our little fur baby. She came over before so she could meet Tucker. She also sent us photos and videos when she went for his walks. She really put our minds at ease leaving him home. We will definitely be using her services in the future.”

“Lisa has been amazing walking our dog. She takes her for runs and the rover card she fills out is always checked full of information and cute pictures. She gets better pictures of my dog then I do. She was also flexible with a last minute change of walking my dog for an hour vs the half hour I had booked. Will book with her again!”
About: Currently I do not have a pet, but I love animals and love spending time with animals, and if I can help you in the process that's even better! I started caring for animals when I was in high school, where I was a regular dog walker for a family friend for two years. She needed a dog walker as she was incapable of doing so herself, and her husband was occupied most of the time with her care. I understand that every family with a pet has unique reasons for needing help caring for their pets, and want to help meet those needs! I have done on-and-off pet and house sitting ever since, but started regularly cat and house sitting for a family in the last few years. I have loved bonding with both the cat and the family in the process! He took some time warming up to me as he is wary of new people, but it made it all the more rewarding as he warmed up to me! I love both cats and dogs! Happy to work with either, and houses who may have both! I have a rather flexible schedule as I am currently between jobs, having just finished a seasonal job. My schedule is flexible and I have a great deal of availability! At the moment, my services have mostly focused on feeding a cat, playing with him, checking in when he's feeling more shy and reclusive, and cleaning out his litter box daily. When the family requests a house-sit on top of that, I will often bring in their mail, water their plants, and check around the house to make sure everything is in order.

“Tammy has been amazing walking my dog! My dog can be a little tough at times and Tammy has been able to get her outside and give her a great walk. She always sends pictures. She has been awesome!”

About: I have had animals throughout my adult life. I love to be outside, so walking your dog in your neighborhood or through walking trails will be perfect. Or just being close to home if they prefer. Since I lost my Springer Spaniel, Sadie, in 2021, the timing is not right to get another dog. This part time option will provide me with fulfilling my love for animals while helping you with your pet care needs. In the past year, I have cared for dogs and cats for family and friends and the feedback I received tells me this opportunity would be a perfect fit. I am currently working full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:00 to 4:00. Therefore, I am available evenings and weekends. I am flexible and open to your ideas. I can care for your pets in your home. I can spend time with them, feed them, walk them, play with them, and pay close attention to their needs.
“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Maria has been amazing with my puppy, Ashe! She’s reliable, caring, and goes the extra mile—literally driving from Napanee to Tweed. I love the notes, photos, and videos she sends, and Ashe is always happy after her visits. She even worked with Rover to adjust rates for the distance, which showed real dedication. Highly recommend!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Belleville choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
