“Excellent service end to end. Engaged Deli in play, which I frankly did not think would occur as Deli is very skittish with new people. Would book again as totally removed and doubts / concerns with leaving pet for several days.”

“So happy to have someone we can trust with Micha. Kristie obviously cares for dogs and knows how to deal with them and ask the right questions. Titan and Micha got along so well which is a big bonus for us! . Already booked two more overnight stays :-) Highly recommended.”

About: I am an absolute animal enthusiast from Belleville. I have four years of combined hands on experience in pet care. I have been a pet parent for as long as I can remember and have grown up amidst the loving and chaotic company of pets. Nothing beats long walks with my fur babies or helping them learn new tricks! I've have experience working with cats and dogs and feel well prepared to administer oral medications, care for senior pets, provide daily exercise for high energy pets, brush their teeth and fur, and care for reactive or anxious dogs.(as I have two of my own) feel free to reach out with any questions! I am available around the clock, from mornings to nights, and can readily adapt to your pets schedules. My schedule is flexible so I can usually adjust to be there for your furry friends! Leaving your pets is never easy (trust me I know!) but I'm dedicated to ensuring the process is as easy and stress free as possible. Please note that while I am unable to host pets at my place, my services extend to your homes where your pets can feel most comfortable while you're away! I will also be happy to send you lots of updates for peace of mind!
“Gabrielle is amazing. My cars loved her, and she took excellent care of them while I was away. She sent many pictures and a detailed report as well, which is great.”

“100% would book Rigel again. Very thoughtful and definitely an animal lover. She took excellent care of my kitties while I was on vacation, I got lots of pictures and updates each day.”

About: I've taken care of dogs for 11 years now. I started with my brother's dog, then got my own, and also have dog-sat for other relatives. I have experience in dog walking, feeding, senior care, and administering medication. I'm currently self-employed as a property manager of my rental property next door and am working from home as a creative. My schedule is flexible. I am free daily for dog walks and drop-in visits. I will respect your home as if it were mine and make sure to leave it how I found it. If any issues come up I'll make sure to communicate clearly with you.
“Nicole was available and responded quickly to text messages. Additionally, she is reliable. She was very kind to my cat. My cat enjoyed the visit, and Nicole sent me photos. It was my first time using the app, and I will definitely use Nicole's services again.”

“Tammy was absolutely wonderful from the meet and greet to the hour visit at our home with our two dogs. She kept us updated, sent lots of pictures, and we had the sense that she truly cares for animals and loves them very much. We will definitely be re-booking and I highly recommend her to anyone that needs a sitter. Your fur babies will be in good hands !”

“Fantastic sitter and lovely person! Rhonda went above and beyond for our little senior Ferret Mochi. He requires special care for his feedings and she was able to perfectly follow all instructions and give him everything he needed and more. His litterbox changes required daily also need to be done in a certain way, which she attended to flawlessly. He was perfectly well cared for and given much love and attention, as well as our kitty Kirito. Rhonda went above and beyond all of our expectations and was the best pet sitter we could have hoped for! I would highly recommend Rhonda to others for any of your pet sitting needs. You can rest assured your pets will be well taken care of!”

“Donna was exceptional with taking care of my cats over the Christmas holiday. She was always on time. Really cared for my cats and made sure to do everything I asked while I was away!”

About: I've had dogs my entire life saving in the last few years since my pup passed away. I've dealt with all different sizes and manner of dogs and loved them all. The last dog I had was an incredibly picky eater, had diabetes and had gone blind in his final years so I've had plenty of experience with senior and more difficult dogs. He was also a Samoyed and I groomed him myself so have quite a bit of experience with grooming as well. I do also do fur cuts but I can assure you it won't look beautiful. They will be healthy and happy with no knots or mats but I've never gone far enough with an education to make it look pretty. I can clip claws as well if the dog is fairly tolerant if less so a muzzle must be provided and the dog must be tolerant to the muzzle. I'm currently working full time but with a 12 hour rotating schedule so I can be available either twice a week or five times a week depending on the weeks rotation. I have the utmost respect for people's homes and their pets environment. I will clean up any messes caused by your pets but will abide by any and all instructions for what to use and where I can and cannot go in your home. I will have a body camera on at all times when entering your home and if anything feels off I will provide the footage by request.
About: Animals have always brought me joy! I genuinely feel happiest when I’m around them. I’ve spent most of my life caring for dogs and, more recently, cats, from my own family pets to helping friends and roommates with theirs. I co-adopted a high-energy dog about ten years ago, helped care for my senior family dog in her final years, and now live with two dogs and two cats that I help care for every day. I’ve also volunteered as a dog walker with the Humane Society, and I regularly spend time with pets belonging to friends and extended family. I love getting to know each pet’s personality through playtime, walks, and just spending time with them. I go above and beyond to make sure animals feel safe, calm, and loved. I’m comfortable bathing dogs, giving pills in treats, and cleaning up accidents when needed. I can care for multiple pets in a home, and have walked up to two dogs at a time. I work from 8:45 AM to 4:00 PM on weekdays, and I’m almost always available on weekends. I offer dog walking, drop-in visits, and house sitting, including overnights. I don’t drive, but I’m happy to take the bus or walk to nearby bookings. Advance notice is appreciated, but I’m open to being asked about other times. I take pet safety and respecting people’s homes seriously. When I’m in someone else’s space, I’m always tidy, careful, and make sure to follow all instructions and routines exactly. I’ll lock up carefully, keep things as I found them, and make sure your pets are comfortable every step of the way. When meeting new animals, I let them come to me at their own pace. I stay calm and gentle, give space when needed, and stick to their routines so they feel secure. I always double-check leashes and harnesses, keep doors and gates closed, and watch closely for any triggers or stressors, like other animals while out on walks. Their well-being and comfort are always my top priorities.
“Would absolutely book again. Kayleigh was very informative about our cats - their behaviour, habits, energy levels, etc. - through descriptions and pictures, which gave us a lot of comfort being away from them for so long.”

Karen was so friendly and accommodating. We had never used a cat sitter before and she was so great to walk us through it. She showed up, was punctual, and interactive with the cats. We got updates and pictures each day. I would recommend Karen to anyone who asked ☺️

Tammy was wonderful with my shy cat Beans who never comes out to meet people. During our meet and greet Tammy was able to connect with Beans and put us both at ease. Tammy was very accommodating when I had to change the date and kept me well informed. I would definitely recommend her!

Rigel is a warm and bright spirit who clearly really likes animals. She took amazing care of my two kitties with daily drop-ins while I was away at a conference, and I couldn't be happier with the care she provided. Thank you, Rigel, for feeding, cuddling, and playing with Thomas and Dilly while I was gone--I came home to two very happy cats!

It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
