About: Being a dog lover my entire life, I have always taken any opportunity to work with dogs. My first job was at Ren’s Pets Depot, where I was able to interact with pets and their owners every day. Over the years, I have raised three guide dogs through the Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides, as well as provided dog sitting for their fosters and career-changed dogs. I also worked at the Hamilton/Burlington SPCA as a canine assessor. In addition, I have volunteered as a photographer for various animal rescue organizations such as Save Our Scruff and Bark at the Moon K9 Rescue. Because of this experience, I have the ability and knowledge to care for a wide range of dogs, from puppies to anxious dogs to rescues. I can provide a calm, structured, and welcoming environment tailored to each pup’s individual needs. Lyndon, my 7-year-old black Lab mix and career-changed guide dog, is easygoing and social. He loves the company of other dogs and will be a steady, friendly companion during their stay. Olly, my 6-month-old dachshund, is a bit more reserved at first but warms up with time. Once comfortable, she enjoys playful moments like chase and fetch! Together, Lyndon and Olly help create a balanced home environment that can suit both confident and more sensitive dogs. I will be able to adjust my work day to best fit your dogs needs and keep them in a routine they are comfortable with. I have two friendly dogs at home who help create a calm, social environment for visiting pets. My black Lab mix, Lyndon, is very easygoing and loves the company of other dogs, making him a steady companion during their stay. I also have Olly my 6-month-old miniature dachshund, who is a bit more reserved at first but settles in with time and enjoys gentle play once she is comfortable. With over 14 years of experience in dog care, including fostering, working with rescues, and assessing dogs professionally, you can feel confident that your pup will be cared for, understood, and loved as if they were my own. I always aim to create a safe, structured, and comfortable environment tailored to each dog’s individual needs.

“My dog is an overwhelming ball of puppy energy in a 45-lb body, but Shelley was amazing with her! She watched Peanut on the first truly humid day of the year, which was (by extension) the first humid day of Peanut's little life, but she kept her well hydrated and cool with a kiddie pool and breaks indoors. Shelley's own dog is a lovely Saint Bernard who was great with Peanut's chaos. All in all, my dog had a great time! Thanks, Shelley!”

About: I am a mid 30s working professional looking to provide care and companionship for your fur babies. I have a flexible schedule most days and am willing to travel within a few hours of the Niagara area for multi-day housesitting. I have the time and patience to care for your pets and home as if they were my own. I am a dog mom to a very special rescue girl and have over a decade of experience as a foster mum to puppies, adult dogs as well as cats and kittens. I have worked with dogs with limited on-leash training and some reactive behaviors. I am a current Humane Society dog volunteer. I am conscientious when it comes to introductions and interactions with other dogs, or as you instruct. I am happy to chat with you further about my services or arrange a meet and greet I work from home 3 days a week and have flexibility with my work hours, depending on the day. If staying at your home, I would need wifi access. I am experienced with fearful and flight risk dogs. I have a dog bed in almost every room and there are plenty of welcoming snooze spots on the blanketed couch. I'm happy to maintain the same rules as you in terms of furniture access :)

About: I've been surrounded by animals my entire life and have owned a variety of pets, including dogs, cats, and bunnies. Growing up, my parents bred dogs, which gave me hands-on experience caring for puppies from an early age. I helped with their daily care, socialization, and basic training, learning the importance of patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement. I genuinely love spending time with animals and understand that every pet has its own unique personality and needs. Whether it's playtime, walks, cuddles, or sticking to their routine, I'll make sure your pet feels safe, loved, and well cared for while you're away. As a nurse, I have large 5 days periods of time off, during which I would be available to provide care at any time. Following this, I work 4 days in a row and as a result, my schedule is not super consistent in that my days off vary. Despite this, I am super flexible and willing to coordinate with people’s schedule during the 5 day window. My entire home is currently pet-proofed for my bunny, who would go in her x-pen during home visits. All baseboards are tapped and all cord and wires are protected with coverings to ensure the rabbit’s safety. I am also very careful about the plants and flowers I bring in the environment due to potential toxicities. As a nurse, I also have medical knowledge which may be applicable at times. I will always doing everything within my power to ensure the safety and comfort of all animals in my care.

About: Since our 1st family dog as a child our house has always been filled with furry paws. I have experience with dogs of all sizes from small to large. I am a childcare provider who is working part time. I have lots of free time during the day to care for your special furry friend. I work part time so have lots of free time to get out and go for walks during the day in all types of weather. We will enjoy walks in the neighborhood, or sometimes go on the trails and hike or even beach walks. If you have more then 1 dog that's not a problem at all.
