Kevin was such a help to us when I was too pregnant to get our dog the exercise he needs! Our dog was initially shy but warmed up to Kevin and I could tell he looked forward to their walks together. Would definitely hire him again!

About: Two decades of experience in professional pet care! If my rates are inaccessible for you, please reach out anyways and we can work something out! I think everyone should have access to affordable pet care! I started when I was just 12 years old walking my neighbours dogs and pet sitting their cats, soon those neighbours were so happy with my service that they referred me to their friends, and those friends referred me to more friends, and so the story goes. I have experience with all types of dogs, from dachshunds to pit bulls, from puppies to seniors. I am able to modify a service to suit your dogs needs, from small walks around the block to trail runs on Chilliwack Community Forest. I have worked for a high-volume dog daycare in downtown Vancouver where I learnt valuable skills on dog behavioural patterns and training techniques. I am a passionate multi-hyphenate freelancer, and every day looks a bit different! My main gigs are teaching yoga at local rec centres and universities, and pet sitting here on Rover. I'm also getting my MA at a distance program offered by UVic, so I spend most of my days reading and writing. On days I am working, I am usually gone anywhere from 2 to 6 hours. I am available to be a full-time, live-in housesitter while you're away. I am adaptable to your pet's rhythms and routines. I enjoy plenty of walks, snuggles on the couch, and giving out healthy treats (carrots are my dog's favorite). I am not only an experienced pet sitter, but a passionate homemaker. I will make sure that your pet stays happy, your house stays tidy, and your garden stays watered. I'm happy to do any housekeeping, including picking up the mail, tidying up the yard, or watering the houseplants!

About: Hi! My name is Trinity, and caring for animals has been such a huge part of my life for many years now. I have just under 5 years of hands-on experience working in a professional dog boarding and daycare environment, where I’ve cared for dogs of all breeds, sizes, ages, temperaments, and energy levels. Through this experience, I’ve become very confident handling everything from playful puppies and high-energy dogs to senior dogs and those who may need a little extra patience, structure, or reassurance. I am certified in kennel environment dog first aid, so your pet’s safety and wellbeing are always my top priority. I understand how important it is to leave your pets with someone you can fully trust, and I always strive to provide care that makes both pets and owners feel comfortable, safe, and supported. Alongside my daycare and boarding experience, I have also been house sitting professionally for the past 4 years. During that time, I’ve cared for pets in their own homes, helping maintain their normal routines and providing them with comfort, companionship, exercise, and lots of love while their families are away. I know how important consistency is for animals, and I do my best to make their time away from you as stress-free and enjoyable as possible. I’ve also had the opportunity to work with police dogs and service dogs, which has given me valuable experience working with highly trained dogs that require confidence, structure, and attentive handling. In addition to dogs, I’ve worked at a facility that also cared for cats, so I’m comfortable caring for feline friends as well and understand that every cat has their own unique personality and comfort level. Whether your pet loves long walks, playtime, cuddles on the couch, or simply having a calm and caring companion around, I always take the time to get to know their individual needs and personality. My goal is to make sure your pets feel safe, happy, loved, and well cared for while you’re away, because I truly treat every animal as if they were my own. I currently work and attend school part-time, but I always do my best to be flexible and accommodate your pet’s needs. I’m available to stop by before work or school to let your pup out, provide care, or spend some time with them. If you’re looking for care at other times throughout the day, feel free to reach out and I’ll do my best to work around my schedule whenever possible! I have exclusively house sat in my clients’ homes, which allows pets to stay comfortable in their familiar environment and maintain their normal routine. Before any booking, I make sure I have your pet’s routine clearly written out and fully understand their needs, habits, and expectations. I also ensure I have all necessary tools, supplies, and information prepared before handling or caring for your dog, so we are both set up for a safe, smooth, and successful experience. I believe preparation, consistency, and patience are key to building trust and providing the best possible care for your pets.

About: I am caring and attentive and will organize my day around your pet’s needs. I’m a big fan of daily walks and lots of cuddles. I have a flexible schedule and will always prioritize your pet’s needs. I don’t have any pets of my own so it’s a joy when I have the chance to care for others’. I offer discounts for longer stays and am able to travel. When I am petsitting I try to make them feel as safe and cared for as possible. Daria was great!! We had our meet n greet on short notice and she was very accommodating to that for us. She was extremely reliable with coming to walk our Quilly each day! We got photo and video updates daily which was a huge highlight of us being away from home, I mean of course the vacation was nice but I looked forward to those photos and videos each day! She was also great in providing us a daily walk past our initial booking due to a long travel home. Pros: reliable, punctual, great with our dog, great communication. Cons: None! Would Highly recommend Daria to others and will be using her dog walking services again when we go out of town!

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Agassiz choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:

  • 88% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 100% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
