“We left our family member Prank, a corgi, with Melana for 11 days, first time we had left him for more than a few days. He had a great time!!! Melana has a perfect set up for hosting fur guests, huge fenced yard, dog friendly home, etc. She treated him like one of her own and sent us numerous pics and videos while we were gone so we didn’t have to worry about him. When we got back he was perfectly happy, although sad to leave all his new friends😂😂😂. We would highly recommend using Melana for your fur baby, I know she will be our first call next time we have to leave him! Great job and thanks again!!!!!”

About: Hello! My name is Nikki. My husband and I have just moved back to Hot Springs to be closer to my family! We love it here and are hoping to buy our own home soon. Because of this, I wanted to come up with some ideas of different ways I could build up our savings. I started out pet sitting to earn extra income but now it has become my favorite part of my day! About: I am an avid pet lover, having grown up around dogs of all sizes from mastiffs to tiny chihuahuas. I personally have a lot of experience with cats, dog of all sizes, reptiles, rodents and livestock. Our house has a large sized back yard great for running around, playing and excersise. About: I raised my dog Rocky from when he was a puppy, so I’m experienced in caring for pets of all ages. I’ve pet sit many times before learning about Rover. Every pet is different, and I’m prepared to do my best to meet your pet’s individual needs. I believe a routine is incredibly beneficial to pet care, which is why Rocky is part of my routine. If your pet is staying with me they will be feed and walked first thing in the morning. Potty breaks throughout the day for pets with more frequent needs. Then second feeding and walk at approximately 6:30 pm. If I’m sitting at your place, if your pet has its own routine we will follow it, if not I will adopt a routine based on the environment. Previously, my house was a 3 dog 3 cat house. After some relationship changes, it’s just me and Rocky. Rocky is completely submissive, although he’s a Goldmation he very much embodies golden retriever energy, and gets along with pets of all shapes and sizes (like I said, 3 cats) When sitting at your house you can be sure that both your home and pets will be cared for. Cleaning is one of my favorite activities, so you might find your house is even a bit more tidy than you left it. And Rocky is very low maintenance and stays home when I pet sit, meaning that if you want me to spend as much time at your place as possible, I can do that.

About: What sets me apart is my experience caring for high-needs, large-breed dogs. I’ve owned and managed a giant breed with specific behavioral and care needs, so I understand how to handle dogs that require extra patience, structure, and attention. I am very comfortable reinforcing training, including basic commands, boundaries, and consistency with routines. I know how important it is to maintain the rules and expectations you’ve set for your pet, not undo them. I am also attentive to each animal’s individual personality and needs, whether that means providing calm companionship, structured activity, or simply making sure they feel safe and comfortable while you’re away. Pet care fits into my routine primarily on weekends, when I have the time to provide focused, attentive care. I already structure my days around caring for my own pets, so I am very comfortable maintaining feeding schedules, routines, and giving pets the attention they need. Because I work full time and attend school during the week, my availability is limited to weekends for dogs but can do daily cat drop-ins. During that time, I am reliable, consistent, and able to give pets quality care through drop-in visits, walks, feeding, and check-ins. I tailor my care based on each pet’s routine and needs. For drop-in visits and walks, I focus on maintaining consistency with feeding schedules, bathroom breaks, exercise, and any specific instructions you provide. I also make sure pets get attention and interaction, not just the basics, so they feel comfortable while you’re away. In my home, I provide a structured but relaxed environment. My own dog follows a routine with scheduled feeding, playtime, and rest, including crate time for sleeping, so I am comfortable maintaining similar routines for other dogs if needed. Dogs in my care have time to be active, as well as space to rest and feel secure. I am also experienced with administering daily medications and am comfortable caring for pets with additional needs. Whether I am in your home or mine, my goal is to keep your pet’s routine as consistent and stress-free as possible.
