Although I didn’t grow up with animals, my heart for them has grown immensely over the past few years. My journey began when I adopted my Yorkie, Mocha.. a energetic, sweet little companion who changed everything. Caring for Mocha over the last year and a half taught me responsibility, patience, and the daily joy that pets bring. My love for animals didn’t stop at home. I began volunteering at local animal shelters and fostering dogs and cats of all kinds. Through fostering, I’ve cared for animals ranging from 1-day emergency placements to 2-week stays, giving them love, structure, and comfort while they wait for their home. About: Howdy! We’re Alex and Evelyn! We have a 7 year old sheepadoodle named Paisley 🐶 and a 3 year old lionhead bunny named Ziro 🐰! We love all animals and have grown up caring for dogs and have been taking care of our friends non dog animals including cats, tortoise etc (see pics!) We both work from home and decided to start Rovering! Here’s what your pets can expect during their stay with us: Paisley 🐶 is a gentle giant who loves other dogs (young, senior, big, small) / animals! She has grown up around many small animals (rabbits/ cats) and does not chase them. Ziro 🐰has his own separate space and will not have any interactions with your pet. Happy to answer any questions you may have! Your pet(s) will have at least 1 of us to supervise. If we step out, we have cameras and a gate to block off areas or if you’d like to provide kennels if they’re more comfortable, happy to make space! 🤳💬 We aim to provide morning and evening updates with pictures! We will promptly flag / address any emergency issues that may arise. 🎾Our toy bin includes balls, soft plushies and chew toys! 🦴Dog treats (please note any allergies!) 🐶🛌Extra dog beds / plenty of napping spaces 🛋️Access to couch— if you don’t we will keep with that schedule! 🧽🧹Clean house with routine cleaning. We always make sure all food is put away to prevent any counter surfing 🪻🌼We routinely have pest control (pet friendly), dog 💩 cleared, and backyard mowed for a clean and safe environment 😎Shaded patio if your dog likes to hang outside 🌊☀️ We also have a dog pool for extra hot days— (extra towels to dry them off) 🐾 If there’s rain/ muddy days, we make sure and clean dogs paws — or if mud rolling was unavoidable, we can provide a bath! In order to provide the best care and attention for your dog(s), there will not be more than 3 dogs (includes our dog) during our watch! If we take pets from different households, you will be notified!

About: My parents had cats and dogs all when we were growing up so I’ve been around them my whole life! Recently, last year my friend found a dog we adopted her, Evie, and turned out she was pregnant with 7 puppies! We ended up keeping one, Potato. They were all born on Thanksgiving so they all had Thanksgiving names! I work from home and have a fenced in back yard I just left my pups out right in the back and they are good! My one dog Evie is food aggressive and we know that so we do feeding separately but water is always available in two places inside and out and is changed every 2/3 hours depending on the looks of it!

About: I grew up with pets and they’ve always been part of my life. I’ve had hamsters, mice, chickens, bunnies, ducks, birds, fish, turtles, guinea pigs and of course dogs and cats. I’m definitely a dog lover, and as an adult I have gained plenty of experience pet sitting and caring for dogs, specially small breeds. I cared for my older baby (Shih-Tzu) with medical needs for many years, and in the process learned a lot about dog care and how to tell when they aren’t feeling well or something is going on. I’ve cared for dogs of friends and family who have full confidence and trust that their babies will be loved, taken care of and even spoiled when they’re under my watch. I’m currently in the process of changing career paths, and have flexibility to do boarding, drop-in visits and house sitting on most weekends and potentially some week days. The house will be dog proofed. I’m aware of things dogs can eat that will make them sick or could be damaging for their health, so those foods/items will be unreachable for dogs. They will have a good sized backyard to go out for potty breaks and play. My community has very nice and safe walking trails for dogs that need walks. If/as requested dogs can be crated but they won’t be crated otherwise. I love cuddling with my dogs so I allow them on the bed and occasionally on living room furniture. They sleep on my bed unless requested to sleep in their own bed.

About: I have been a dog mama for over 15 years to 2 of the best girls. Both have passed now and while we would love to add another fur baby to our family, we are taking a break while raising our two tiny humans! Our most recent fur baby just passed 2 months ago, and we are looking to love on your sweet babies to bring some of that joy back into our home! We are very familiar with special skin care, medication, special diet needs, and separation anxiety! I'm a stay at home mom, so they will have lots of play and attention, walks around the neighborhood, especially to the local duck pond, as well as plenty of potty breaks! I'm a stay at home mom, so I'm available all day to take your fur babies for walks, let out for potty breaks, and get lots of play and attention! I have two kiddos who love dogs and love to play! I also have a good sized fenced in yard for running and potty breaks! I can provide a kennel if needed! My home is peaceful, and fully outfitted with security!

I am always open to negotiation, but please keep in mind this helps pay my bills. I do have my own dog, but if your dog needs to stay overnight in my home, they will be kept separate. I am very responsible and would love to meet you and your fur babies. If you have any questions, please ask me :) Can’t wait to meet you. I work 10-5, but I work from home. Visits before and after are easy when in Elgin or nearby. If I pet sit at home, I will keep separate from my pet. It depends on what is needed, per the pets needs. I am happy to stop by, clean up, let them out and feed during visits.

About: I have my own dog Zoe who I currently care for. She was potty trained, crate trained, and house trained starting at 8 weeks. I’m free all day for your pets needs. I have open availability through the week. I’m free to care for and entertain your pet through out the day. My dog Zoe would love to have a play date with your dog. I have a fenced in yard and a big neighborhood that will allow your dog to get fresh air and nice walks. My neighborhood dog park is also just right down the street from my house. I have a medium sized crate that is available for your pets use while staying.

About: I have been around dogs for 41 years and taken care of them for over 36. I've also worked with and cared for cats, goats, horses, pigs, chickens and some other exotic animals here and there. I have experience in training dogs both on and off leash with e-collars. I also have a dog and indoor/outdoor cat and have trained them to get along and perform jobs.I I am a work from home entrepreneur with 1 acre who also works with a local farm on 20 acres, so there is always plenty of space and time to take care of animals. I have a half acre fenced yard with a standard 4' fence so as long as your doggo isn't tiny or able to jump fences they'll be able to stay outside longer if they like. Otherwise I can monitor them or walk them around the property. I have en elderly dog who may play with your dog(s) or who may keep to himself. I have an outdoor cat that takes care of snakes, bugs and rodents who also comes in the house sometimes. I have access to 1 or 2 small to medium crates, &/or if you prefer to provide a crate, I can crate your dog as well. If dogs are well trained and well behaved, I also have access to a 20 acre farm in the neighborhood so we can go there for exercise.
