About: I’ve been caring for dogs for about 10 years and currently own a Great Dane, so I’m comfortable with dogs of all sizes and energy levels. I have experience feeding, walking, playing with, and providing daily care for pets. Friends and family have trusted me to care for their dogs while they are away, and I understand the importance of keeping pets safe, happy, and on their normal routines. I treat every pet as if they were my own and strive to provide loving, dependable care. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide attentive pet care throughout the week. Whether your pet needs a walk, drop-in visit, or overnight care, I will make sure they receive plenty of attention, exercise, and companionship. I understand how important consistency is for pets and will work to maintain their normal routine while you’re away. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I carefully follow feeding instructions, medication schedules, and any special care requirements. I am attentive to each pet’s personality and needs, ensuring they feel comfortable and secure. As a dog owner myself, I understand the trust involved in leaving your pet with someone else and will provide regular updates, photos, and communication so you can have peace of mind while you’re away.

About: I have owned dogs of various sizes, from Chihuahuas to Dobermans. I currently have three large dogs who range in energy. I have a lazy German Shepherd, an excitable Doberman, and a high energy Belgian Malinois. Because of this, I’m sure I can handle dogs of various sizes and energy levels. Throughout the years I have been the one in my household to administer any necessary medication to all of my dogs, so if you have a senior dog who needs various medications, I’m the sitter for you! I am currently on summer break, so I am free almost every day. My schedule is fairly flexible. Please reach out to check my availability :) I will gladly take your fur baby out for potty breaks, feed them as needed, and give them treat as allowed by you. Cuddles and pets are absolutely part of my services!

About: I’m passionate about providing the best care for pets, no matter their age or needs. From my experience caring for Paris, who required medication on a schedule, I’ve learned the importance of attention to detail and consistency. I’m adaptable and enjoy creating a safe, enriching environment for pets to feel at home. Whether it’s taking a walk, giving medication, or offering companionship, I treat every pet with the love and respect they deserve. Pet care is at the heart of my daily routine. I prioritize the well-being and happiness of the pets I care for by creating a flexible, loving environment. My schedule is designed to ensure that every pet receives the attention they deserve—whether it’s playtime, walks, or snuggles. I make sure to stick to feeding, medication, and exercise routines to keep pets feeling comfortable and secure. Each day, I dedicate time to ensure that each pet feels like they’re getting the best care possible, no matter what their specific needs are. Safety and trust are my top priorities when caring for pets, whether in my home or yours. At my home, I ensure a pet-friendly environment with secure, pet-proofed areas for play and rest. I keep all harmful substances out of reach, and my space is designed to be cozy and calming for all pets. I take the time to understand each pet’s individual needs, including their preferences and any special requirements. When caring for pets in their own homes, I maintain their routine as closely as possible, ensuring a familiar and stress-free environment. I communicate regularly with pet parents, providing updates and reassurance. Whether in my home or yours, I make sure pets feel comfortable, safe, and loved every moment of their stay.

About: My #1 goal is to ensure you and your fur baby the security and safety the need while spending their time with my own fur family! I have 2 beautiful dogs of my own, both are rescues, also three indoor (dog friendly) adult cats. They are friendly and spoiled with lots of love, attention and walks daily. I have fostered and worked with local and bay area rescues for about 5 years off and on. Your pets will be treated as one of my own, always! I have one large kennel if needed but I'd prefer the animals to have free roam of the house and yard. They will be taken out 3+ times a day and cuddled for overnight stays. If you have ANY questions, concerns or requests please do not hesitate to reach out! Look forward to hearing from you and spending time with your fur babies, have a wonderful day! At this moment, I am home full time. All pets are let outside in the morning to do their morning business, then fed and taken for an early walk. Throughout the day I am home with them 24/7. I have a fenced in yard and another fence separating the front and back yard. I also have kennels if they are preferred or needed.

About: I’ve had a deep connection with animals for as long as I can remember. I currently share my space with my 3 companions, being my dog and two cats. Over the years, I’ve been entrusted by friends and family members alike to care for their beloved fur babies. My love for this work stems from my genuine affection for these animals, treating them with the same level of care and consideration as I would a person (perhaps even to an added degree). My current experience in pet care primarily consists of senior animals, each with unique health requirements. Though I’ve worked with many animals, I firmly believe that each pet has its own unique set of needs and distinct personality. I am committed to building a relationship with your pet so that I can learn who they are and what they love! I am currently available throughout all days of the week. Whenever your pets need someone to spend quality time with, I will more than happily be there to provide that for them. I am available 24/7 to your pets. I can adapt my routine to whatever their needs may be. Feel free to reach out at any time.

About: What sets me apart as a sitter is the level of care, attention, and adaptability I bring to every pet I look after. I treat each animal like they’re my own, which means taking the time to understand their personality, routine, and specific needs so they feel safe and comfortable while you’re away. I currently work fulltime but weekends I am fully available! I love animals and always have since I was little. Growing up we’ve always have had dogs and cats. I have a fenced yard and we have plenty of room for the dogs to run around. I do also have a pug that is 6 years old but he is super friendly.

About: (Note for new families: I am able to do on base and off base services) I love furry, feathery, and scaly friends to the moon and back! I have an open schedule, and I try to be as accommodating as possible. I grew up with what I feel is almost every type of animal imaginable, so nothing gets past me. I have also grown up around many litters of puppies, so I have experience bottle-feeding and attending to needs. I also have dealt with animals diagnosed with dementia and other health problems they just need a little extra love and time is all! I also have handled disabled pets including missing appendages and paralysis. I love being able to give pets the attention and time they need and deserve while the owners can be worry-free. Pet care is my priority! I currently don’t have a job since I just moved to this area a couple of months ago so I am completely available to give furry friends the attention they need. Since I am not in a position to take pets into my own home I try to be my absolute best wherever I am! I am a big advocate for respect not only to others but their property as well so when working with clients and their homes I hold myself to a standard of leaving everything as it was unless specifically told otherwise. Doing this can also help me build trust with the pet simply as an acknowledgment that I understand that it is their territory and I am in their space.

FAQs for House Sitting - Burrel

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of June 2026, there are 505 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Burrel. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Burrel walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Burrel maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Burrel choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Burrel. On Rover:

  • 88% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 93% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 100% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
